We loved the jeep tour to the Badlands. It was a little cool so we couldn’t ride in the back, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. Charlie, our tour guide made sure we saw everything and even gave time for us to explore on our own. I would highly recommend this tour.

Howdy Holly - Sorry the weather didn't cooperate on your tour day. Our Gladiator Jeeps work well for any weather, they offer four door front seats with AC/heat with convertible tops and also have rear seating for nice weather and a more open adventure. I'm glad you enjoyed your day with Charlie. Thank you for your kind review. Be Well - Rich

Snafus-we expected an open air jeep but were picked up by a van, disappointing. I thought I booked a "public" tour, but then noticed that I was charged for the private tour. Seemed there was confusion by the local company regarding drivers.

Hi Deb -
I'm sorry for the confusion but happy you enjoyed our tour with Mike. There was "confusion by the local company" . . . you're right. As you saw in the reservation confirmation order I texted you . . . your information was different from what Open-Top received. Yours said "Public Jeep" and ours said "Private Van". The good news is it worked out and you enjoyed your tour.
And yes, we had to switch drivers at the last minute as two of our guides reported in ill and felt it would be safer not to guide that day.
FYI - For our future guests. Some third-party reservations have been problematic this season. Please contact Open-Top within 72 hours of tour departure to confirm and coordinate with us. Thanks - Rich

My wife and I had an awesome day! The weather had been threatening right up to departure, but then it cleared-out and ended up being a beautiful day. And wow did we see the bison! Hundreds and hundreds all around us. Then we were off to other sites on the list. Everything was well planned by the tour and our guide was great. She knew a lot about every stop and we had great conversation. It was relaxing and rewarding. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. If you have any questions, call the tour company before making the reservation and they will fill in all the blanks with good detail.

Excellent way to see all the natural features and animals in the park. We saw so many bison with their babies, proghorns, donkeys and prairie dogs. Our tour guide was fantastic- knowledgeable, great humor and so helpful in making this tour memorable! The vistas he took us to were breathtaking. We would recommend the Open Jerp Bison Safari to everyone visiting the South Dakota Black Hills!
