A good choice for nature lovers, this tour takes you into a unique part of Rock Springs Run known as "Emerald Cut.” The first part of the tour is an upstream paddle through calm waters and overhead tree canopy, with stops to hop off your clear kayak and into the fresh spring water. We launch from Kings Landing. Make sure to park on the road just outside of the gate. *DO NOT GO INTO THE KINGS LANDING BUILDING* Once you see the Kings Landing building on your right go behind to our launch area (there's an enclosed trailer where we will check you in from).

Meet your guide behind the Kings Landing building in Apopka, where you'll be provided with a clear kayak, paddles, and safety gear. Launch into the waters of the Emerald Cut section of Rock Springs Run, where your 2- to 2.5-hour-long adventure begins.
See the blue-green waters that give this part of the run its nickname as you paddle. Listen to live commentary from your guide and keep your eyes open for wildlife, both in the waters below and all around you. Stop along the way to take pictures of wildlife and make a pitstop at a platform, where you’ll have the option to jump into the waters before returning to your starting point.

- Weight Restriction: 425 pounds per boat (two guests) and no more than 250 pounds per seat (individual)
- For every minor participating, there needs to be an adult to accompany them within the kayak. Children must be at least 3yrs old to participate.
- Each of our kayaks are tandem (made for 2 paddlers). However, the seats are removable and if you have an odd number of paddlers in your party we are able to accommodate the kayak as a single. Keep in mind, the same 250 pound PER person weight limit still applies even if taking a kayak as a single.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers

The tour was almost cancelled due to bad weather. Although waters were not as blue-ish, our guide Elijah showed us some beautiful spots and wildlife. At the end we even saw a black bear.

Amazing kayaking experience! The clear water & terrain was beautiful and as someone who does not live in Florida, it was really cool to see gators in the wild. Our guide was “Dani” and she was so professional, very knowledgeable and simply a joy to have leading us. I highly recommend this activity to anyone in the area looking for something unique and fun to do. I would recommend going early to avoid crowded waters (I went at 8:45am and it was perfect) and be prepared for an arm workout. 10/10 experience!

Loved this kayak trip with my phenomenal guide Megan. The springs were perfectly clear and no more than 6 feet deep, albeit a bit crowded because it was a holiday. It was a nice paddle upstream with several spots to jump out in and swim in shallow water. Megan gave us history and took photos. The parking situation is a mess though, with most people basically having to park in a ditch alongside a two lane road.
While I would highly recommend this tour, I do believe that it is worth noting experienced kayakers and those on a budget could easily rent kayaks directly from Kings Landing for a significantly lower price and do the same paddle themselves as it is a straight out and back. I saw a lot of people doing this and hanging out at swimming spots for longer to enjoy lunch.
Overall, I enjoyed this about a million times more than the theme parks and will do this tour over Disney the next time I’m in Orlando.

Absolutely beautiful Florida kayak experience but not worth the money. A very clear scam. You can rent a kayak and enjoy yourself for a fraction of the price. The guide is no more than a photographer. The company uses another boat launch for their kayaks. Save your money.

Lovely relaxing trip in gorgeous scenery. Just a word of warning, the purpose of this isn’t to see animals. I booked it with that in mind - that was my fault, not theirs. It is lovely to paddle in the clear water.

I am so glad I did this tour. My guide, Jacob, was so fantastic. He graciously took photos for me since I opted to leave my distracting phone behind. He showed us some really cool spots to jump and dive into the water.
The scenery was beautiful and I saw a good handful of wild animals including a raccoon, fish, a deer, a turtle, and birds. This would be a great tour for anyone who is physically capable of paddling a kayak. No experience needed though!

Tuesday—St. Patrick’s Day—with a kind of adventure that wakes you up in every sense. We were on the water at Kings Landing by 8:30 in the morning, the air a sharp 47 degrees, the kind that makes you question your life choices for about five minutes. But the spring-fed water held steady in the 70s, like nature quietly saying, “you’re fine, keep going.”
Over the next two and a half hours, the world slowed again—but differently this time. We drifted past birds that didn’t seem bothered by us, spotted a raccoon going about its morning business, caught sight of a snake slipping through the water, and watched a turtle move with that calm, ancient patience they seem to carry.
By the end, the sun had softened everything. The air warmed, the water shimmered, and it felt like we had stepped outside of normal time for a while.
Some trips are about where you go. This one was about what you notice when you get there.

The river is crystal clear and while a clear boat is cool, the bottom of the kayak is pretty scratched up so it’s not a clear view of what’s under you. Having said that, you can probably see a little more this way than with a regular kayak. Our guide Jacob was super knowledgeable and helpful. My only reason for not giving 5* is it was a bit crowded on the river as there are other outfitters and individual kayakers all using the same launch. So non holidays and weekdays would be much less crowded. If they do have a
Limit restriction or monitor usage, it wasn’t apparent. It isn’t a deal breaker as other boaters are all friendly and helpful if you end up heading into oncoming “traffic “. But fewer people would have been a more peaceful experience. Loved the wild beauty and the exotic birds we saw. Even saw a huge turtle swimming across the river. The river is so shallow and we stopped and stood in the river periodically. It’s a sandy bottom except along the shoreline where invasive species grow (forgot the name). Oh and the water temp is 72 degrees and as its name reflects comes from an aquifer below the ground. So all spring fed fresh water.

Jacob was great and the water way was beautiful but the grounds were mot for cleanness couldn’t wash our hands no soap or water i could go on. The attendant in the front of the store wasn’t too cordial and the lady who came in talking loudly over us to the attendant over us that was crazy rude not professional that’s for sure. Again Jacob was awesome 110 percent.
