Met Richard inside the Marriott Hotel, Newport RI. Reviewed our vouchers and gave us stickers.
At 8:30pm, started the tour outside. Richard has a great narrative voice, loud and clear. Began with a couple of ghost ship stories and then we walked further into Newport.
Overall, a very good tour. Lots of history, coupled with spooky stories. Encouraged pictures and showed us pictures that had captured orbs and mists.
Strongly recommend you wear comfortable shoes or sneakers. Saw some people wearing sandals. Didn’t think that felt comfortable when walking over cobblestones. Also be aware there is little to no seats available at a stop. Some people resorted to sitting on the floor/sidewalk. Bring something to sit on if you think you’ll get tired.
One other plus. As we passed restaurants, saw some really good places to try. Wouldn’t have found them otherwise.
Overall, a good time. Recommend you try it.
Great tour. He was entertaining. Kept it interesting. Appreciate the tour much more after going on one in Salem.
Not very interesting, hard to get into it with teens. The pictures showed looks fake. Far too expensive for the experience
Captain Cas did an amazing job! Historical details wrapped in current events seen of the supnatural made it all the more interesting.
Ron was a very good guide that keep us entertained with his stories and trivia. I've been on many ghost tours in various cities, and this one was one of the better ones.
Interesting, informative and fun for the whole family (including skeptical teenagers)! Would highly recommend!
It was okay. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable but something was definitely lacking on the tour. It just needs another element.
Lots of great historical stories and cool landmarks. Paul was our tour guide and he was a wealth of information.
Our guide was fantastic! Definitely recommend this tour. It was very informative. A Definite must for any visit to Newport.
This was a great time!! John our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining.. However, we were not told about a change in time so we waited much longer than we should have.
Sarah was great. She was very animated. She told several ghost stories that were based in history and were interesting whether you believe in ghosts or not. My 10 year old and 13 year old enjoyed it too.
Morgan was awesome, highly recommend her tour. She was very entertaining, knowledgeable and charming.
Morgan was great, thank you for the great stories. Morgan was a great story teller with amazing knowledge of history in Newport.
Great experience. Enjoyed the historical ghost tales and the walk through Newport. Morgan was fantastic and made the tour fun for the whole group!
Very entertaining tour with a good mixture of ghost stories and history! Richard was a fantastic guide! Definitely worth it.
What a fun and fantastic tour. We loved the history that our guide provided. It was well-paced and lots of good ghost stories and historical info. We’d definitely do it again when we return. A fun evening, time well-spent.
The Gastly Ghost Guide was very informative and entertaining! He had a vast knowledge of Newport, Rhode Island and its history.
Great time , great history of Newport! Our guide John was very knowledgeable. No ghosts but odd feelings around Spring street.
Fantastic ghost tour with friends. Our tour guide provided great information and stories from the past. Was engaging and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable during our journey through Newport.
Our tour guide, John, was excellent and well detailed with all the historical information!! We would def tell others.
It’s an easy walk through downtown, and John is a great storyteller. Expect about 3/4 history, 1/4 ghosts. I don’t recommend this if you have mobility problems.
Morgan was very knowledge about history of Newport . Although no ghost sitings - it was enjoyable !!!!
John is awesome! Great tour and lots of additions! Would highly recommend - went with a group of friends!
Took this tour as the first thing we did in Newport. Our guide Richard was really great at pointing out meaningful historic spots , which oriented us to the town and gave us ideas of how we might want to spent our quick two-day getaway. The next morning we did a self guided driving tour around the Mansion District which was a great compliment helping us decide how to spend our time wisely!
This was not our first ghostcwalk but it was one one the best ! Our guide did an amazing job! He was very into "it" he made the night fun. We got to see a bunch of ghostly things
Sarah was great! She dealt well with the loud passing traffic, the rain halfway through, and then when we took shelter in somebody's porch. Near the grave Yard, -They came out to see who was on their porch, and Sarah graciously Apologize for our intrusion and the porch. Owner asked if they could listen in. All went well and we were very impressed.
Fun for kids, Jeff, our tour guide was GREAT! The tour was full of interesting history about Newport, RI
This was my daughter and mother’s first ghost tours and they loved it. Our tour guide was great and enthusiastic. I always love the historical side of the ghost tours. I did this tour on the first night of our Newport vacation so we could know some Newport history before the rest of our stay while we wandered the town.
It was an easy meeting spot to find. Our guide was really attentive to my daughter and the other kid on the tour. We stayed up front on the walks from one spot to the next and learned some more little facts about the places we were passing.
This was one of the best ghost tours I have been on. I highly recommend asking for John as a tour guide. He was very passionate and took some extra time to share some extra tidbits after the tour was officially over. This tour itself had a combination of history and ghost stories. If you're in Newport and want a nice 90-minute activity to do, I would highly recommend this.
This walk was fun! Sarah was great. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and theatrical. It made the walk even better!
