What are people saying about Newport

Great fun
The tour is educational. You’ll get the most out of the experience if you are engaged with your guide who will try to keep everyone upbeat and entertained during the ride. The views along the route are limited from within the trolley. (This is not the fault of the trolley or the guide, it’s really all about foliage, so it likely depends on the time of year). With that said, it’s still worth the price of admission. It was a good time. Thanks to “Trolley Troy” for making the tour a wonderful experience!

We Appreciated Our Newport Tour!
I wanted to thank Carlos, who was our tour guide on the Newport Tours trolley. He was very entertaining, and we were able to learn about Newport and all the mansions at the very end of our trip before we had to go to the airport. His enthusiasm and knowledge made the tour both enjoyable and informative, and it was a wonderful way to wrap up our visit. Carlos shared lots of information about the city of Newport, RI, including its history, and landmarks. He also told us interesting stories about some of the notable residents who have lived in the area, as well as several TV shows that were filmed or take place there. We enjoyed hearing these stories, and thanks to his recommendations, we plan to watch some of those shows to stay connected to the memories of our trip.

The Best!
Absolutely worth every dime! We got to see SO much of the area, and our tour guide, Ray, was WONDERFUL! He was born and raised in Newport, so he not only told about the area but added personal stories that made us feel like we knew the area even more. The Breakers was as amazing as we expected! Absolutely loved everything about the tour and want to come back to do it again and spend a few days in Newport!

Comfortable, enjoyable and informative
It was very entertaining and informative about both Newport 's role in the development of America as an independent country as well as some of the more known politicians and businesses that supported Rhode Island. The driver was enthusiastic and funny even explaining the origin of the baseball field across the street . Rhode Island's military history and importance was a surprise. The trolley was comfortable and not so big that you felt lost. I think people need to know that picture taking along the ride was pretty impossible. But that actually helped you pay more attention to the stories!
