Overview

Step back to 1911 and unravel a murder in Storyville, New Orleans' infamous red-light district. Guests become suspects or detectives in this laugh-out-loud, interactive show. Held in the Penthouse at The Maison, it’s a night of mystery, history, and hilarity you won’t forget!

What's Included

We bring everything -- props, clues, sheets for writing notes on the suspects. Guests may dress up for the theme, or simply come as they are. (themes available at the Killer Theater NOLA website)

The historic venue is not wheelchair accessible and requires walking up stairs.

Confused Disappointment

There is really no rhyme or reason to the activity. It is very audience driven. The clue concept does not really make sense. The audience didn't really know what was going. It really didn’t make any sense. Awards were given at the end but even though the audience made the “show” not all main character participants received the paper awards. The props, beard in particular probably not the most sanitary. Let’s just say it was a disappointment.

We're sorry you didn't have a good time, Yvonne! It's true that not everyone receives an award. As I was explaining at the show, you do have to participate to figure out what's happening with the murder, it's an interactive event.

Wonderful experience, highly recommend! Nigel, our British host, was so kind, funny, and ensured a great experience for everyone. We got to take part as characters in the murder mystery, which included fun costumes, character scripts, and actual investigation! The whole experience was engaging and a great time for anyone!

Really enjoyed how interactive the show was. The host was entertaining, engaging and funny. The mystery wasn't as simple as reading the clues asking questions and it's obvious who it was. It took some thought to get the answer and figure it out. Great experience definitely enjoyed.

It was AMAZING!!!!!! The hosts were really cool!!!!! I was the Nutcracker during this event!!!! I enjoyed the atmosphere and met some new people!!!! The overall experience was great!!! You have to try this!!!! Mostly everyone in the room was cooperative in engaging with the production!!!!

Hey, thanks for the review! I agree with your issues here. It was our first show at this venue, we missed a few cues that would have explained the murder better. The venue's projector had a tech issue that prevented us showing more background info as well, and only had it available via tablet, which we know most guests didn't really see. It really doesn't have to seem so complicated, but that was the presentation you saw, and I apologize. We are definitely solving most of this for any future shows. Our games will still be a little complicated, it's more like an escape room where you can solve it in a few different ways, instead of a blind guess like most mysteries. But that's not what you're saying, you're identifying real concerns and your feedback helps us
