What are people saying about Memphis

What else makes Memphis great? Food.
Taylor really knows her food and the local food scene. A pitmaster and BBQ judge, she shared both interesting information and great stories about everything we ate. This was a walking tour with minimal walking, all on Beale St, so don't worry that you'll be burning off more calories than you consume. For us, the weather turned ugly (i.e. close-up lightning and a tornado watch), which meant the closure of a couple of the restaurants we were scheduled to visit. Taylor pivoted beautifully, arranging for our BBQ chicken wings to be brought from one of the restaurants that had to close and making a quick dessert substitution that actually gave us something tangible (luscious and whimsical fudge) to take home from our trip. We didn't feel we'd missed out on anything. The food itself was fabulous. My husband can't stop talking about Elvis's favorite hamburgers. I had a second chicken wing - and I am not a chicken wing fan - because it was one of the best pieces of chicken of any variety I've had. All of the restaurants we were able to visit had unique charm. Judging from their exteriors and what I've heard about them elsewhere, so did the two we didn't get to visit in person. This tour was a special treat and reminder that the culture of Memphis isn't limited to its indelible music.

A fascinating closer look at Memphis
Our guide Katie was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of Memphis, which really enriched our appreciation of the city on many levels. She was full of interesting stories about things as varied as Yellow Fever epidemics, musicians, and the history of Mud Island. Extra convenient if you're staying at the Peabody, which we were. Finished up in time for the Duck March. A great walk on a beautiful spring day!

Tupelo, Elvis’s birthplace visit
Firstly we couldn’t recommended Darnell enough. Great communication prior to the tour. We met with our tour guide Darnell at the time he had said he would pick us up. From the off he was very personable and made us so welcome. His knowledge was so vast and had some great stories. Showed us many sights on the way to picking up other people and then took us to Tupelo. He had so much information to give and was always interested in any questions thrown his way. Not at any point during the whole day did he make us feel rushed. We were so happy with the tour he delivered that we 100% recommended his company. Thank you Darnell

Scenic horseback ride
Scenic horseback ride through rural trails with opportunities to spot wildlife(we saw lots of deer). Great for families or couples looking for a relaxed day out in nature. It was suitable for: Families, beginner riders, or anyone who just wants a gentle ride. Our Guides Marley and McKenzie were awesome!
