Ahead of your chosen start time, make your own way to the Dig This headquarters in Las Vegas.
Begin with a safety briefing from the expert staffers, then get outfitted with a high-vis vest and hard hat. Each guest must take a breathalyzer test to ensure they can operate the equipment safely and responsibly.
Next, hop in the cab for some hands-on training so every button and lever makes perfect sense. Then it’s time to ride. Wheeling these machines around the desert might take some getting used to, so there will be a few warm-up exercises to try, including digging, trenching, pushing, and dragging a haul around the lot.
Want to really test those heavy equipment skills? The instructors guide guests through a game of "excavator basketball" or "bulldozer teeter-totter" just for the fun of it. Feel free to tear, dig, rip, claw, grind and drive around as much as desired.
At the end of the session, receive an official certificate of completion and have a photo taken to commemorate the event. There’s also a retail store to take home a memento from the day’s activities.

My 14-year-old son and I had a great time. We both drove an excavator. Our guide was wonderful, patient and a great teacher. We both enjoyed it very much and highly recommend. We were staying at Mandalay Bay, took a cab to dig this and ordered an Uber for the ride back. The Uber was a little cheaper. The front desk staff at dig this was so kind and friendly. Great experience!

Awesome time digging in the dirt. I loved the challenge of moving the tires.
Brian was a fantastic instructor who encouraged me throughout. I highly recommend this and know that you will leave with a giant smile on your face. Popping the wheelie was awesome!!

You get to operate the machinery by yourself with the guidance of a person on the ground. You get headsets to communicate with the other "operators" and the person guiding you through activities. We dug holes, stacked giant tires and even picked up balls to drop into the tires. Brian was the best guide. I had a blast.... this was one of my wish list items for my 75th birthday!!!! What a hoot!

Erika was a great teacher. Getting to dig and play in a dirt yard with an excavator was unbelievable fun!!! Highly recommend doing this activity with friends and/or family. Don’t be intimidated by equipment!!!!

My friend and I embarked on a backhoe adventure at The Dig, and it was outstanding! From the pre-experience call confirming details to the friendly reception, informative (and witty) safety video, and thorough demonstration in the play sandbox, the staff excelled. The hands-on operation of the backhoe, guided by our patient and expert instructor Mark, was the highlight—engaging, safe, and immersive. Mark’s keen supervision and conversational style made it unforgettable. This is a real hands-on operation of a heavy equipment, and you get to do all of it. I’m half-joking, but now I want my own backhoe! Highly recommended for any grown-up kid eager for heavy machinery fun.

Fantastic time. Instructor was wonderful. The entire staff was so knowledgeable and clear with their communication and instruction. It was a very windy day that was tossing dust and dirt on my wife. The staff even made rounds with a water truck to decrease the dust. Great experience, great company! Can’t wait to do it again with all my buddies.

It was amazing "playing" with the Big Toys!!!! And the guys teaching / training / guiding us had a lot of patience while we were learning the how to use the tools.

I really enjoyed the chance to run an excavator; I was a little worried about being able to manage all the levers/buttons/etc., but "instructor" Mark took his time with me and I was able to mostly manage the equipment. I would recommend this to anyone who likes heavy equipment, the only downside was the cost of transportation to get to the facility from the strip, Uber turned out to be the best way as it was about half the cost of a cab.

My husband was a bit skeptical about this when I surprised him with this experience our 6th wedding anniversary. But he had a blast! He had a big grin on his face and giggled all the way back to the hotel. I appreciated that I was given a headset too, so I could hear what was going on and even talk to both my husband and the instructor. Dakota was very clear and encouraging instructor and made us both feel welcome.

Just an all around awesome experience! I booked this for me, but my wife who, had no experience operating operating anything other than a car was able to navigate through all the activities thanks to the great team. We both will be suggesting this to all of our friends visiting Vegas!

Had a super fun time! I did the excavator and the instructor was very friendly and patient with me the whole time. Everyone was very fun to interact with and very friendly. The hour flew by and I learned quite a bit. Great unique experience.
