We drove so far and I enjoyed the ride! Seeing the Petroglyphs, rock climbing, taking amazing pictures, meeting new people! It was dope!

We were promised a six hour tour. We got one hour. We had to change dune buggies three different times because of mechanical failures. The scenery was not what we paid for. We paid for Valley of fire and they moved us to some dirty sand dunes outside of Las Vegas speedway. If you read the reviews, there are many people who say this company is not reputable. This is an absolute truth.

Guide was amazing but chose this company for the buggy exp and when got in the desert was told they don’t work in the terrain and ended up on a gator. Not the exp we had purchased.

The Tarheels Family(Hopper Family)conquered the Valley of fire on August 12, 2021 , with the help of Our tourists Jordan & Flip. They made sure safety was a priority & gave detail information & carefully made sure the equipment was operating properly before we endure the 3.5 hours of the rough terrain. Eat a small breakfast (fruits, grits, oatmeal) drink plenty of water. Eating a meal after the 3.5 joy ride is for the best interest of the customer. This is definitely a must do while on vacation, drink plenty of water & ask for “Jordan & Flip” to be your tour guide/ instructors. The Valley of Death will end up being the Valley of Joy for your benefit. Have fun & let’s ride.

If you want to go into the desert they are the best. Our tour guides Flipp and Irokk they are funny, courteous, and experience guys. The shuttle driver that pick us up at the hotel Black Mike hilarious 🤣 best wake up call! What a day! A most do activity in Vegas! Don't go anywhere else, SunBuggy are the best!

Ran hours late, changed our vehicle choice without notifying us. then sent us out with a group of 11 who had spoken to “Eric” at the tour company for permission to shoot a rap music video while on our “tour”. The language used in conversation was beyond foul and the music and behavior was full of vulgarity. Pure filth. They should have been REQUIRED to take a PRIVATE TOUR, because what went on was not for public consumption. We did not get to enjoy any of the stops because the group was “filming”. The guides that were present supported our request for remedy, yet the company stood by their “NO refunds, No matter what” policy. So we paid nearly $900 for nothing. Felt robbed of our last day of vacation. We should have been notified of the other groups request and given the option to change our itinerary or reschedule. The offer to repeat the tour was of no value because it was our last day and have no plans to return to Vegas. Unfair and unprofessional.

I booked this adventure as part of a birthday gift for my hubby. One of his bucket list items was to ride a dune buggy through the dessert! It took an hour to get to the Valley of Fire from the office. Our guide was Marquis. He made sure we were all safe and stayed on the trail the entire time. We spent at least 3 hours at the desert. We got in more than enough time on the buggy's! The first part of the terrain was rough and rocky, the second part was sandy. The sights along the way were always changing and beautiful!! I didn't expect that! Even though it was a hot day, there was a nice breeze, while riding in the buggy. Wear sun protection or UV protection clothing. You will get dusty. They provided subs and drinks. There was also bathrooms in the park to use. Overall, it was a great experience.

We looked at several tour companies before deciding on this one based on reviews. Martin picked us up at the resort on time. We traveled to the office for a safety briefing and to pick up helmets. Martin then drove us to meet Austin who was on site with the buggy. Austin reviewed safety again and then we were off to cruise dunes, rocky creek beds, climb rocks, and then have lunch next to petroglyphs! We've been to Vegas a lot but this was the best trip ever because of Sunbuggy and our awesome guides Austin and Martin. Highly recommend you ask for them!

If I could add a star or 3 I would!! What an amazing trip. Firstly, I have to apologise to the service provider...I decided tonight it is a good time to say thanks to all the Viator service providers who made our trips so much fun. I am nearly 2 years late....but I have to mention that visiting Las Vegas was not my idea of how I want to spend a family vacation....shows and 'the strip'....but I will never think of Las Vegas as those things again. We met the most amazing people on this 'driving buggies in the desert', a hike, kayaking ... we were picked up at our hotel...not knowing what to expect, being in the middle of so much neon signs as we have not seen in our lives!... so we got all the safety gear, were briefed and off we went...the two of us and our 6 children...we were 4 people to a buggy and each got a chance to drive. We stopped at points to change drivers and had so much fun climbing boulders, checking out rock paintings, just being in this amazing space with clear, clear blue sky. One of my favourite pictures of our children on a big boulder, each doing his/her own thing, with the bluest of skies behind them! I must say the only negative part of this trip was that it had to actually end! ....but ...the trip did not end there - we had a wonderful lunch of sandwiches with everything you would like on a sandwich at a little diner along the way back! ...maybe 'just another day' for these guys, but to us it was a family bonding experience which we all enjoyed and will remember forever - thanks you guys! It was awesome. If you like nature, fun and a 'new landscape, do this trip, there is nothing hard or even remotely dangerous about the trip - just a lot of fun and 'little moments' we thoroughly enjoyed it! and will definitely recommend i to anybody who wants to experience the real Las Vegas out there'!

Absolutely fantastic!!!!
VERY bumpy, VERY disty but 100 worth it!! Amazing day out, would definitely recommend this tour. We went in November so the temperature was just right. We had two tour guides who were great.
We even had a subway lunch thrown in too!

This was without a doubt the best tour my son and I have ever taken. The guys and gals leading this trip were by far the best group ever to make sure you have a safe fun day but really made it a lot more than that. From Carmen to Robbins and Stephanie, They did a great job making sure we had the best day ever. My son enjoyed this day and has not finished talking about since. Carmen and Robbins really went out of their way to make sure we had the most fun possible. I highly recommend this trip.

Valley of Fire. We had a great time! Robbins was our guide. He was fantastic! He took great care of us - plenty of water and Gatorade, ensured we had opportunity to get snacks prior to starting. We found a broken glass bottle at one of our stops and he picked up all the pieces to be properly disposed of. We got stuck on top of a sand dune a couple of times and he was right there to help us. I would request Robbins for any future trips to Vegas dune Buggy trips

Didn't do the Valley of Fire as I booked the wrong tour but we were able to amend our trip to what we wanted and 2 hours of fun in the desert was an amazing day thank you all at Sunbuggy!

We were very happy with our guide Armando he was really nice and helpful we will definitely be back again thanks to him
Constance W, Jun 2013
Dune buggy ride was a lot of fun and our guides were terrific. We got to see so much of the Valley of Fire. We took plenty of water breaks. The only negative was the bus ride to and from the Valley of Fire. The a/c didn't work and it was miserable on the bus. Connie from Tennessee

Great way to see the Valley of Fire. The guides take you through unknown spots and you can enjoy the scenery all the way to the stops you make. Lots of fun and very exciting, totally worth it!
Lovenwar, May 2013
I had an amazing time on this tour. The petroglyphs were awesome
World Traveler, Apr 2013
This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. I had been wanting to visit the Valley of Fire for sometime now and this was definitely the way to see it! Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable not only about the buggies but the park as well. He brought us to the best view points possible and to the sand dunes so we could ride around on our own. Don't forget to wear sunscreen and keep hydrated!

Weather was horrible, too hot!!! Nice view of the desert and friendly fantastic staff
Robert R, Mar 2011
Much to our surprise, the company switched our trip from the Valley of Fire to the sand buggy ride through the Nellis sand dunes without contacting us. We were picked up at the hotel and it was only when the customer service offered us a 90 minute ride on the dunes for a additional $100 did we realize we were on the wrong trip. The customer service rep made it right though by giving us the 90-minute ride using two single seat dune buggies and added in free tee shirts. The ride through the dunes was a blast and my son and I had a great time even though the trip wasn’t what we signed up for.

So much fun and memories to take home. Good experience all around, and the guides were great.

The only problem with this tour is that it flies by much too quickly, but time flies when you're having fun. The self driven Rhino's are perfect for fun and perfect for the tour, and the tour guide was extremely tourist friendly and obviously loves his job. If you're going to Las Vegas for more than just the gambling, do this tour, its worth the money.
NATALIE F, Oct 2008
We managed to get the full 3 hours only because there was no other group behind us. If another group had been behind us, we would have had only 1 and half hours, not good at all.
Deirdre O, Aug 2008
Absolutely fantastic day out. The tour guide on the day was brilliant. Highly recommended and would have loved to do it again!
Kristene C, Jul 2008
A great experience! Everyone at the tour operator was friendly and helpful. Our guide was patient & knowledgeable. Tip: In summer, definitely take the earliest tour as it can get extremely uncomfortable in the heat.
Nadine C, Jun 2008
It was a fun and exciting change to a vacation adventure. All the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I couldn't believe how much time we were actually out in the desert to put the buggy to the test. To end it all, we all got a T-shirt. Need I say more?
Susan B, Jun 2008
The Valley of Fire is very hot, as you would expect. We were in Vegas early June during fairly mild weather, it was just eighty nine in Vegas. We were the only ones booked on this package, so we just had our leader in a Rhino buggy followed by the two of us in ours. There was not a lot to see, but whatever there was, we stopped and given information on the area, in particular the cave drawings. As this was our first time in a dune buggy, the course was mild and we did not do a lot off-road; we mainly followed paths. My husband, who did the driving, LOVED it and enjoyed it more than the ATV's we had done the previous day. I understand that they do have different levels that they refer to as fast and slow, so check before booking. They do not seem to be very busy, and we don't understand why. This is a great day out when you are staying in Vegas for a few days, especially after you have done all the other major sightseeing tours. It is a full day, though.
Mark G, May 2008
This trip was fantastic. The Valley of Fire is beautiful and is a must see. The staff were very friendly and tailored the trip to us. We love to take pictures and they let us choose when we wanted to stop for photos. You will get dirty, but it is a lot of fun.
Jurgen N, Apr 2008
What a blast!! This tour had it all. Beautiful scenery, fun spots to tear around in the dune buggy, and the tour guide was great and informative. He told us the names of the mountains and local plants, and we even got to climb some of the mountains! I highly recommend this tour. I did it in the spring, and the weather was perfect. Cool air and warm sun. I think it might be too hot in the summer unless you do the early morning tour. It's definitely worth it!
