This was an amazing fishing experience!! The weather was cold and rainy but Baranof Fishing provided all the gear we needed to stay dry. We caught a lot of fish but only kept what we needed for lunch. We were able to see eagles and porpoises in their natural environment while fishing. Our guide Tim was very knowledgeable, kind and funny. The lunch was outstanding! In our opinion it was the best meal on our trip. The camp area was awesome too! They had campfires for several groups. There was an outdoor kitchen to prepare the food. They had warm drinks and blankets to help warm you. I cannot recommend this experience enough. They have to process down and were very efficient and fun!

It was an amazing experience that everyone should do. Would go again in a heartbeat. Definitely a must do excursion!
It was so much fun!!! Tim took great care of us from the moment we arrived until the moment we left! He outfitted us with everything we needed…jackets, pants, boots, gloves!!! The weather cooperated and we had a lovely day fishing! Everyone in the boat caught a few fish. The camp was perfect! Had a great cup of campfire coffee and delicious rockfish cooked perfectly! I’d do this again and again!!! Thanks Tim and the crew!!!
The staff was efficient and friendly.Our guide provided for a wonderful experience and knew where the fish were.. Had a great time and the way the catch was prepared was amazing!
Our guide, Tim, was absolutely fantastic. He knows the waters and made sure everyone had an absolute blast. Thanks to his expertise, we caught a ton of fish!To top it all off, we enjoyed a delicious meal made with our fresh catch that was out of this world. If you are looking for lots of fish, lots of fun, and top-tier hospitality in Alaska, do yourself a favor and book with Tim.
We had such a wonderful time fishing. Patrick was our captain. He was very knowledgeable about the area and different kinds of fish. He was the best! We caught quite a few fish and had an amazing meal eating our fresh caught. I highly recommend this excursion!
We had the most amazing time fishing with Kinani. It was myself, husband and 8 and 10 year old boys as well as Helen who worked on our cruise. Great experiende for any level angler! Kinani was so kind and helpful and shared lots of local information with our family! The food after was wonderful. 10/10 recommend. We would definitely be back again if we end up in Ketchikan!
I booked this excursion on a recent cruise to Alaska and loved it! Our captain took us to a few different spots and we all caught some fish. The views were stunning, and watching a bald eagle fly by and scoop a fish out of water was the cherry on top! The beach where we had lunch was another beautiful spot, peaceful and full of picture perfect backdrops. They cooked up the fish we caught in this delicious sauce, I don’t even like fish but I ate everything on my plate! I can’t recommend this enough!!
What a great experience! Our captain Jonathan made sure we caught a lot of fish, a variety of fish, learned about the area and wildlife and had the most amazing meal. Everyone in our family had a wonderful time and we would recommend this excursion to anyone looking for a great day out on the water in Ketchikan.
James the guide was great for our 6 person tour. The boat was very nice and we caught a salmon and many rockfish. The food was amazing!! Best fish I have ever had.
This was a fantastic experience. Not only did we catch two fish, one being a 12 pound salmon, we saw a pod of whales playing and breaching beside our boat. Tim was an excellent guide/fishing coach! And, our cooked salmon at the campsite was excellent. The experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!
My family went on this fishing trip and had an absolute blast. Lindsey was an amazing captain. Easily the best chartered fishing experience we have ever had (probably been on 10 others all together). Food was very good and fishing was even better.
This was a fabulous way to experience Alaska fishing. Boatman was very nice and accommodating. Zero effort was required on my part.
Eating our catch on the island was EPIC
Great experience. Patrick made sure we caught fish..He was very patient . The only complaint I have is the bathroom on the island..I opted out of using it. ( use your imagination,only worse)
Patrick cleaned our caught fish and the outfitters cooked it. Sooo good. This was a really fun time.
Cannot say enough good things about this experience!!! We caught so many fish with Lindsey. Smooth process from the beginning of meeting at our cruise ship, to loading up with gear, to the fishing. We did not stay in one spot. If we were not catching, we kept moving until we got on the fish. However, the best part is the meal at the fish camp. Five stars. Felt like dining in a gourmet restaurant, but in a really authentic, cute atmosphere. One of the highlights of our trip.
I wasn't sure what to expect, and tbh it was a great way to do the tour. The captain put us on to good fishing, the tucker was bloody amazing. The only thing I could think that would better the experience, would be a shot of whisky. 10/10 in my opinion
Fishing was good shore lunch setting was amazing. Fish that you caught was cooked and served in a pristine shoreline setting. A crackling fire and fresh coffee warmed our bodies and souls
James was a great captain. I knew nothing about fishing but following his instructions I caught many fish! We really enjoyed our day and can’t raving enough about how good the food was! Absolutely amazing!

Don’t think about it and don’t shop around!! AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Caught a lot of fish, spent time watching a whale, shore lunch was UNBELIEVABLE, timing was perfect as we also had time for the obligatory post-fishing beers! Well done!!!!
What a great experience! David led a worderful exclusion. He set us up in the right spot to fish. We had 4 or 5 fish at the same time. Then fillet and had our catch cooked - to perfection! Highly recommend
Great experience! Good for kids of all ages. They take you to to areas where they know you’ll catch smaller rockfish for the meal. When we caught several of those our guide gave us the option to keep doing that or head out for bigger fish. We chose the latter and caught 4 halibut. The meal was fantastic
