Very boring and nothing interesting

Katie_L, Jul 2026
Very Boring and won’t recommend to anyone. I can learn about these on YouTube. The tramp closed so early and they said it’s raining but I don’t see no rain at all.

Enjoyed all the exhibits and especially The Moonwalkers IMAX movie experience! Rocket Park had a long queue for the tram over but the wait wasn't as long as expected and worth it (however, you can just walk over there--which we didn't know beforehand.)

Highly Recommended

Fun For The Entire Family

Shanna_C, Jun 2026
Fun and educational experience! Arrive early to secure tram tour tickets included with general admission. FoodLab offers gluten-free options, but they're pricey-a small pizza was about $30. Plan on spending another $50+ if you want the souvenir photo on your way out.

gotta see it !!

Hugh_P, Jun 2026
Sadly the tram tours were cancelled due to tropical storm Arthur. didn't get to see Mission Control or the Saturn V rocket !

Activities Missed

Romil_P, Jun 2026
Dear Viator Support Team, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding our visit to Space Center Houston today. Due to the weather, the majority of the events included in the NASA itinerary were cancelled, including all tram tours for the entire day. We traveled specifically from Dallas for this experience; however, it did not meet our expectations. When we spoke with the authorities on-site, we were repeatedly told to check back every 30 minutes, but no solutions were provided.

Great experience

We have been to NASA several times and every time it’s a fantastic experience. Just an fyi, you scan the QR code in the parking lot when you leave.

First time space center visit

Tom Hanks movie was great

Roy_M, May 2026
Tram rides were disappointing. Cars clanked between cars. Very young girl had a high pitched voice that was hard to hear. Suggest having a pre-recorded.

Center closed due to water line break

Mark_B, May 2026
We got to the Center and it was closed for the day due to a water line break. I'm from Calfornia and won't have a chance to go back. How can I get a refund? Thanks, Mark

Smaller

Suzannah_F, Apr 2026
This space center was so much smaller than Kennedy space Center. The large group in the middle all morning was distracting.

Fun time

SANJEEV_D, Apr 2026
Space center trip was amazing. Parking is easy and channelized. Tram ride was fun and covers entirely.

Fun educational and very interesting. Experience that will last a long time.

Come early and enjoy all the exhibits. the guides are very helpful and the Gift Shops are a great place to bring home memories.

Everything was amazing we loved show with tom hanks. The only negative is way over priced for bottle water

More time then you expect

Sean_M, Mar 2026
We visited Space Center Houston with our 5- and 6-year-old and had a great time overall, but I definitely recommend planning ahead. We arrived around 2 PM thinking a few hours would be enough, but it wasn’t. Many of the tram tours were already sold out, and we missed out on some experiences we were really interested in. If you go, get there early—you’ll need at least 4–5 hours to fully enjoy everything without feeling rushed. The kids loved the hands-on activity stations like making UV bracelets, coloring, and problem-solving games. Those were a big highlight. One thing to note: a lot of the “cool” experiences cost extra. General admission mostly covers walking through exhibits. Also, we’d skip the VR—it wasn’t worth the time or cost. Overall, highly recommend—just go in the morning and give yourself plenty of time.

You have to pay for parking, food is expensive (you could take a cooler and leave in your car). Great experience! Lots of interactive activities for kids of all ages to complete! Fun experience!

Fun at Space Center Houston

Ross_E, Mar 2026
There were amazing exhibits and activities for the entire family! It was a fun and educational experience!

NASA Museum worth +3 hrs visit!

William_G, Mar 2026
Very informative. Video re Appolo program moving, showed the heroism of the 12 Americans that landed on the Moon. Shuttle walk thru was great. Artimus display tells what is next.

Over Promised Under Preformed

Kenneth_B, Mar 2026
It was raining, so they canceled the tram tours for the afternoon. We left the venue after calling an Uber from inside. We didn't want to stand in the rain and call for an Uber. When we went outside, we found the rain had stopped. Since we had left and had the Uber coming, we couldn't go back and see if they had restarted the tram tours. They can go to space, but they can't run a tram in the rain. Very disappointing.

Joseph_B, Mar 2026
It was amazing. Easy to navigate and so much to see. We really enjoyed going on a space shuttle. We learned so much about space.

Fun Experience

kleinenken, Mar 2026
Best experience- didn’t realize the size of the rocket - will return in the future - lost sun glasses

Great day visit.. but not for little kids!

Lee_F, Mar 2026
Spent a day at Space Center Houston and mostly enjoyed the experience. Lots of people dragging young kids around and it really is not for little kids (under 6ish?). So many of the exhibits require reading to appreciate that the little ones were clearly bored. Having said that, if you love all things “space”, this is a great place to visit. Comprehensive displays of artifacts from every generation of spacecraft to date, including the new Artemis mission (read the book “Hail Mary” for a fun intro to the namesake!). The full size Saturn rocket display is awe inspiring and the movies are inspirational. It takes a solid 4 hours to see (more if you stop to read everything!).

Not as many kid-friendly...

Curt_J, Mar 2026
Not as many kid-friendly activities as I expected. But we all still had a great time at the Space Center!

Disappointed

Thomas_B, Feb 2026
The general admission fee only gets you to the visitor center, where they have a few mock exhibits. We weren't made aware that there were additional tierd charges for other exhibits and the ACTUAL space center. Disappointing.

Excellent view of all facets of the space program

Linda_D, Feb 2026
Easy walking.. very leisurely.. We were able to do 2 riding tours in one excursion Missed 2 tours because they were all booked by 12:30

Not a good time.

JORDAN_L, Feb 2026
Offered 1pm tickets after traveling 4 hours than all tours were booked and could do anything else. So crowded you could barely breath. Would not recommend.

Wilson_W, Jan 2026
Great exhibits and movies. Tram tickets can be hard to get - we missed out on astronaut training despite being in line before 11 am. Cafeteria is overpriced and busy but necessary to spend a full day there. Overall a great experience

It was a great...

Kristi_C, Jan 2026
It was a great experience. Highly recommend you watch the movie with Tom Hanks. The complex tour was a bit disappointing.

We spent all day there...

Ellen_N, Jan 2026
We spent all day there from opening until close. They had crafts for the kids and excellent educational movies. Recommend going to guest services to get tickets for their tour off campus to see the training facility and rocket ship park.

Thumbs up for the space center

Amanda_L, Jan 2026
Such a great place with lots of information, definitely give yourself at least a few hours (4+) to do the tours and look at all the exhibits. Really have to get there early to save a spot on the Mission Control tour, they sold out at like 10am when we were there. Viator was a bit cheaper too compared to directly online.
