This tour operator is pathetic. We put down $1,175 to take this tour at 7:30 AM. Our cruise ship changed the arrival time to the port to 4 PM. We notified the tour operator 2 weeks in advance to reschedule or cancel. He would not hear any of it and said he would do nothing about it. When we arrived in port the tour operator (Herm) was out soliciting customers. So he had, in fact, put in an additional tour but, when I personally tried to speak to him he just walked away. We are not used to being treated this way by a Viator endorsed tour operator. Please don’t put yourself through this experience. We are out $1,175 dollars and our son and grandchildren are extremely disappointed.

This is Herm. I don't operate like that and either does viator. I don't have name to see booking details. I also see your review on shared whale watching, sounds like we had other people waiting. If you booked and ship changed schedule, I would have moved you. The only reason I wouldn't is if a party booked the time slot before you booked( we give people who booked say in January priority over party that booked in March). Viator would be notified and then they would issue refund. We also use FareHarbor as third party as another safety net for both buyer and seller. If you didn't get a refund, both viator and FareHarbor concluded you didn't warrant receiving one according to their client policies. We pick up on Icy Strait Point property, they would revoke our personnel from being on property if we hawked our ware. There is no solicitation allowed. We have multiple boats, so yes we had other tours going. You are reviewing on shared excursion, so we also had other people going on your boat. The people at pick up point are already booked with other vendors. According to you, I would be soliciting people from companies I know and have worked with. If I had date and your booking name, I could get their summary on our interaction from the other party booked on your same trip. Hear from third party how our communication went. Send your information to Viator and FareHarbor, have them re evaluate the circumstances. You have other options than to name call me and put undeserved review.
