The crew went above and beyond what I expected. Lots of whales and on the way back to the dock, a bear and four cubs!
Very knowledgeable about wildlife and made a great book recommendation about the heritage of Icy Strait Point!

This was the best excursion, our captain and hand showed us all the things! Whales, bears, sea otters, sea lions, bald eagles… we were so impressed and will tell everyone we know- this tour should not be missed!

Absolutely amazing tour! Leslie (naturalist) and Alana (captain) were exceptional! They had us on orca very quickly and then many humpback, including the local favorite named Wedgie! We even got a bonus and stopped on the way back to see a couple coastal brown bears on shore! Don’t hesitate to book this excursion! Great staff, small boat, overall excellent experience in beautiful Hoonah, AK!

Nice little boat ride to where the wildlife is. The guys know where to find bears, orcas, whales otters and sea lions. We got to see them all (and eagles, too!).

The Ship was a perfect size, small group so we all had plenty of room to see everything! Our Captain, Alana, made sure we could all see everything we wanted! Especially the Humpback Whales! Which didn’t disappoint! Many Breechings!! Would go again and again!

Our captain Alana was from the village of Hoonah and grew up with her family doing crab fishing. With that she became familiar the waters in this Bay and quickly got us to a feeding area for the whales. On the way, we also stopped to observe some large bear cubs walking and eating along the beach. When we first saw the humpback whales, she explained the behavior to watch for and we were lucky enough to see movement and many flukes, even 3 whale flukes at once. The most spectacular was a breach of a nearby whale and the then 5 other breaches in the distance. We were thrilled at this experience!

Great experience! Easy process to get from our cruise ship to the staging area and then to the boat for the tour. Captain and Naturalist were friendly and helpful! Both were realistic about expectations- but were really excited when we were able to see orcas near the humpbacks as well as a Mama bear with her 3 baby cubs on the shore. It was an amazing experience!

It was obviously that our crew loved their jobs. Their excitement matched that of their customers which was so refreshing to see!

We had an amazing tour. Patrick was a great boat captain and Paul was an awesome, knowledgeable nature guide! We saw Orcas, humpbacks and even bears on our tour. We definitely recommend using Viator for your excursions!

It was an amazing tour worth every penny. Our family of 10 had a great time watching a bunch of Orcas, sea otters, and hump back whales. Our tour guides were very informative and went above and beyond to ensure we got a great experience finding and watching these whales.

We hit the trifecta - lots of whales, a pod of orca coming towards us/diving under our boat, a family of brown bears finishing up their salmon. Great crew, they were as excited as we were! We heard “Wedgie” (one of the whales) sing. A great experience

Be careful and use GPS to find location.
Tour left without us. Still had to pay. $297. Hopefully they will refund. I call and left voicemail messages which said they would call back within 24hours. To their credit they called back 15 minutes before departure.

Paul and Patrick were amazing! We saw so many sea lions, eagles and whales it was hard to count. The whales came right up to our boat and I saw 3 eagles in one tree. By far our best excursion of the trip.

We absolutely loved it!!! They were able to find many whales and were so informative. We saw so many sealions and eagles as well. At the very end of our time a pod of about 6 humpbacks came close to the boat, rolling and playing. It was fantastic!

Amazing whale experience- saw 7 humpback whales including Wedgie who was singing! We saw bald eagles, sea lions, sea otters and even a bear.

Great experience. The captain found the whales. The only problem was with Viator which stated the wrong time for the tour on the tickets. We only made the tour because we arrived early.

Great experience the highlight of our trip. We saw Orcas, Humpbacks, Dall porpoise, sea lions, otters, and eagles. The team accommodated a mistake I made and was able schedule us for an earlier trip so we wouldn’t miss our cruise. And the crew of our boat were professional and personable.

Excellent!!! Got to see lots of whales, also bears, eagles, sea otters. Several viewings of bubble netting feeding with groups of whales and a rare double breach. Very exciting. Nice, enclosed boat with opening windows for nice viewing, not a crowded party boat. Good crew.

It was a perfect day to view humpback whales. In Juneau we were told there are more killer whales, but Icy Strait was the place to see humpbacks. We say them several times as well as a brown bear.

Tour was only 2 .5 hours which included 1.5 hours of getting to the desination.. never got close enough to the wheels but other ships went right to them. Total waste of our $400 price tag

Our tour guide and vote captain were very knowledgeable. We got to see eight humpback whales bubble feeding, which was the coolest thing ever! Also tons of sea lions, and some otters also. very cool experience!

Great experience Captain put us on whales almost immediately. Working with other boats via radio, he took us to other whales, a brown bear, bald eagles, sea lions and otters. Very happy with this excursion.
