Captain Billy has a great knowledge of the fishing in his area. He is also a very nice guy! I felt like I’ve known him for a long time! There were 6 of us on his boat, and we all caught fish. I would highly recommend him for a great fishing experience.

The Viator description of this fishing trip was completely wrong. It said 5 hours and we were only on the water for 3 and fished for barely over an hour. In fact my line only went to the bottom twice in the whole trip and that's because we moved once. We also specifically picked this tour and day because it wasn't catch and release trip as we wanted to ship fish home and after getting on the boat the captain told us it was catch and release. We caught a total of 4 fish and the captain was knowledgeable but no way other the nearly $2,000 we paid for 4 people.

Captain Billy and his daughter were extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and the wildlife. They made us feel quite comfortable which made for a great trip and we caught plenty of fish.

It was a nice boat, and the guide was super nice and informative. The fishing was sub par, which isn’t always the guides fault, but the charter only lasted 3 hours. I felt like it was an expensive trip for only 3 hours and the price to send fish home from Hoonah is double the price than most places in SE Alaska.

I'm Sorry you fell that way but I have been told that I am one of the cheapest charters in the area and the place that takes care of you fish to send it home is it's own business and I don't control the price, that's why I make sure you see their prices before you decide to send any fish home

Great Halibut fishing with captain Bill. Full of knowledge and put us on the fish. We saw orca’s, bear and sea lions. Just wish it was a longer excursion than 3 hrs. Only fished for 1 hr.
