We didn't have and ID number on our tickets printed from on line purchase when loading. So the guides had to improvise.

Don’t use Viator. They never sent my tickets and it was a hassle proving I paid for the trip.
Train ride was slow, scenic, informative but a little boring.

The train was clean and comfortable and very roomy. The staff was friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable. If you just want to ride on a train it was pleasant. I thought it was a little boring. I expected to see a lot of history and memorials or whatever. It was mainly forest, farm fields and nice homes. The college it passed was the highlight for me. Beautiful older campus. They did narrate and talk about a lot of historical events and people. I personally would have rather driven to the memorial cemetery where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg address. We drove by but didn’t have time to walk through it. It looked really interesting.

The seats were very comfortable. Interesting information about the history of Gettysburg was provided. My grandson loved the concessions.

The ride was very scenic, comfortable seats, air condition, snacks and drink. Each car had a trained person to tell you .what certain areas were connected to the civil war history

If you are expecting to see much of the battlefield, you'll be disappointed. The train only goes through a small corner of the battlefield; the rest of the scenery is mostly woods, farmland and beautiful modern houses. But the train itself is lovely, it's a nice 90-minute or so break to just sit and watch the pretty scenery go by, and in summer I imagine it'll be a great way to get out of the afternoon heat for a bit.

I enjoyed the ride and the beautiful scenery. The train was clean, comfortable and on time. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would have liked the ride to be longer. The history narration was nice but the volume was low and hard to hear. Overall, it was a good experience but I left feeling like I needed more.

Very slow boring train ride. All that you see are farm fields and woods. It is a ride straight forward and straight back. You see the same scenery on the return.
