It is a very comfortable ride. Big stuffed chairs and couches
There are snacks available.
The recording plays along as you travel. But, not necessarily talking about where you are in the train. It doesn't sync.
It was a pleasant ride, but got to be a bit boring on the return trip. We enjoyed the apple slushy that we purchased during the the ride.
The train was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The narration of the history of Gettysburg was very informative…a great way to spend part of your time in Gettysburg.
We enjoyed the train ride, it was hard to hear the narrator with everyone talking, but still an enjoyable ride.
The instructions about parking boarding etc. Was recieved today. Our train trip was yesterday. This email would have been helpful to see before the train trip. Otherwise a nice trip
Our tour guide was Jim and he did a fantastic job giving us both the Gettysburg battle information experience and the local scenic and railroad history.
Very informative about history and the train hosts were very friendly and well spoken. The ride was fun, very comfortable and enjoyed the gentle rocking motion.
Well-organized, on-time, and informative. But if you are not interested in the history of the area, dont spoil it for others by talking over the speakers. Some folks on our tour were more interested in themselves snd the snack bar gran in the tour guides presentation.
I felt there wasn’t as many things to see and historically it was very minimal. Also, you could not hear the information coming from the speaker because people were speaking so loudly on the train itself. I would not do it again, but it’s nice. They have it.
It was a very nice afternoon for a train ride. The seating was comfortable and it didn't matter where you sat, the view was awesome! The train ride was on time and leaving and returning. There was food available for purchase which we didn't partake we just had brunch before arriving. The narrator we had was excellent in presenting what we were looking at and also what was to come going forward. Definitely very relaxing atmosphere.
Its really a basic train ride. The chairs are really comfortable though, but there's no sustance to it.
Parking is a concern. Be prepared to walk from overflow lot to station.
The ride: seats are very comfortable. The start and stop of the movement is very smooth.
The train car host was most interesting in her stories of the battle and its impact on Gettysburg.
If you are expecting to see battlefields out of the window on the ride you will not.
Unfortunately there’s not much to see but a lot of trees and some beautiful houses. The seats on the train are very comfortable and the staff is very nice but if you’re looking to see anything about the battlefield, it’s the wrong excursion. It is a bit boring.
The train ride was just that a ride. No historic or sufficient information regarding the battle of Gettysburg.
Not what I was expecting . I will say the trees filled most of the scenery, the houses we passed were beautiful. But I wasn’t impressed .
You don’t go around a loop it’s just forward and then backwards and you really see nothing but the college / fields / trailer park
Short ride. Up and back on same track. Great view of weeds and a huge trailer park. We wouldn't do it again. Staff was very nice, though

Ride does not include views and travel near park. Only included views of farm land and wooded areas. Sears were comfortable and popcorn was very good.
We thought we would be able to see things from the train, but you don't. Just a lot of trees and the back of people's houses. The train was clean and the staff friendly. There was a slight continuous waft of poop smell and we were far away from the bathroom so not sure what happened there.
Ensure you have plenty of time to park and make your way to the train. Snacks are available for purchase during the train ride , they only take cash. Get ready to learn amazing history that was not taught growing up
Relaxing ride with refreshments but does not cover much of the battlefield. The railway staff were very friendly.

Beautiful restored Service Cars were above my expectations. Customer service was also exceptional. The train ride through the northern suburbs of Gettysburg was amazing and informative from the announcer. Highly recommended looking forward to our next trip when I bring my family up. Thank you.
The points of interest on the prerecorded commentary were difficult to pick out. Some points were just “ in the area” or didn’t exist anymore. I did not realize we would only see the back side of the Eternal Peace Light, and then only a small portion of the top of it. The train car itself was nicely restored and comfortable.
Very comfortable relaxing ride. Steve out guide was very personable. We went on a rainy day and it was very cozy. Perfect !
It was a scenic ride with some history playing over the speaker...but really this is about the experience of riding a train and seeing scenery. It is a back and forth trip, meaning you go so far, they stop the train and then go back the same way.
It’s a great break in a busy day at Gettysburg. You are told about the local area, and facts about the war.
