This was a lot better than I expected, it’s great that you can go at a slow speed and look at everything you can pull over and look at the monuments, take pictures, and walk around, all at your own pace. I like the audio it was very informative. I recommend it.

This was the perfect tour for my husband and me. He is having some health issues that does not allow him to get out and walk around much and he was unable to tolerate the heat and humidity. We could stop and get out and walk around as much as we wanted to at our convenience. We completed our tour at the historical museum, and this shed light and the horrors of war. We were able to learn about the aftermath and the death and destruction from this war, and its effect upon the people, from all sides. The horrors that were bestowed upon this town and surrounding areas are unfathomable , the farms., Farmers, animals, the land, everything was destroyed.

This self-guided driving tour was an EXCELLENT way to learn about the history of the different battle stories and the unique statues/monuments dedicated to those who lost their lives during the battle of Gettysburg. We followed instructions and set up the app on our phones while we were still at home, which was easy to do. The app worked great and was extremely easy to follow during the auto tour of the battlefield. We were able to go at our own pace, as well as stop and get out of the car for photos, etc, whenever we wanted (much better than a bus tour where you just do a drive by of the sites), which was extremely helpful and nice. We loved this so much we did the driving tour several times during our stay in Gettysburg...especially since there's so much to see and learn about. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would HIGHLY recommend it...even if you've visited Gettysburg before!

This self guided tour was amazing. The weather was 90+ degrees so walking outside much was taxing, but driving the tour in an air conditioned car was so much easier to do. The narrator pointed out so many details on various monuments that we would not have known about otherwise and that made the trip really memorable for our daughter. Being able to start and stop along the route when we wanted to take a bathroom break or find a place for lunch was so convenient and the narration was excellent, especially when he would reference other recordings he has done. This was truly an excellent purchase that covered everything we wanted to see and learn about and much more.

This self guided tour was perfect for us! We didn’t have issues syncing to the car audio. When it says to drive 25 mph or slower do it. It will cut off information if you get to the next spot too quickly. You can always play that section again if you need it. It was great getting to pick and chose what we wanted to get a closer look at as we went along. The only thing I’d suggest they change (and quickly) is that Little Round Top is open again. It reopened the last week of June. The tour does talk about it but I’m sure there would be additional information available since you can actually get out and explore there again.

I liked how we could see the actual battlegrounds and visit the memorials while listening to the stories. We could tour as quickly as we wanted, stopping when it was convenient for our family to jump out of the car. It also helped to first view the film first at the Heritage Center, since the tour began behind that building.

It seems that the auto tour isn't compatible with Android Auto in my vehicle. The audio kept cutting out and going all over the place! I had no service on my phone in that area either.
I tried rebooting everything and then I had no audio whatsoever! So I gave up and just drove around aimlessly. Disappointed.

As a workaround, I suggest connecting your phone directly to your car's stereo via cable or Bluetooth for a smoother experience. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility are on our radar, but we await approval.

In our experience the app failed by not actually indicating the battlefield names on the map. Memorials yes-battlefields no. Sometimes the narrator was talking about things that did not appear to be about what we were looking at. It would’ve helped greatly if the map itself had indicated where cemetery ridge was and where culp Hill was, those kinds of things.

The narration was good and so were the stories but we missed like 7-8 stops because the tour wanted us to go down a closed road. I’d say with all the closures get a battlefield guide who can show you around the road closures. This is a good option for when everything is open

Highly recommend! Easy to navigate and quite the experience. Recommend starting the tour a few hours prior to sunset and finishing the tour at the cemetery. We got to experience seeing the cemetery illuminated with fireflies. Very surreal and quite emotional.

The narrative for the tour is excellent. Very interesting and informative. The mapping and GPS tracking needs work. Especially with the detour in the Gettysburg Battlefield tour. About half way through it got very confusing and frustrating. After several attempts to get back on track we gave up and literally started over and just didn’t make any stops until we knew we were back on track.

Tour Gettysburg in the comfort of your own vehicle, at your own pace. Stop and get out to explore OR not. The app worked perfectly. We followed the route and even if we got off the path it was easy to get back on. Our family loved it.
