Very detailed tour. Liked the self paced and could pause if you wanted to take pictures, get out if the car etc
. Took about 2.5 hours. We saw so many battlefields. We would've missed so much if we did not choose this tour. Great value for the money and informative. Definitely recommend.

Took a few minutes to get everything figured out and downloaded. Once we got everything going it was great. The app took knew exactly where to go and the directions it gave was very good. It was very informative and detailed at every stop!. Highly recommend. The bus tour was going to be $43 a person and we have a family of 6. This was only $16.99 for everyone!!

Excellent cost effective way to tour the battlefield. Turn by turn direction with indepth descriptions of the area and monuments, even for walking tours at multiple stops. I would suggest buying early and getting familiar with navigationg the app to get proficient with all its functions but we were able to bumble through it and it was still great!!

The GPS-guided narration was easy to follow, perfectly timed, and packed with fascinating historical details that really brought the battlefield to life. We loved being able to explore at our own pace, stopping whenever we wanted to take in the monuments and scenery.

The guide on the audio guide was outstanding. He brought the story of the battle to life and led us on a comprehensive tour of the area. We loved that we could go at our own pace.

The car tour was informative, but you definitely need to start at the beginning even though it tells you that it is okay to start anywhere because it follows the battles by Day 1 to Day 3
Woke and pc.
Jeffrey_C, Aug 2026
The GPS location was spotty during the first third of the tour, leading to some wrong turns. The route and tour was enjoyable and informative but with only a bit of research you could certainly tour the battlefield without its guidance. Most grating was its intrusive, politically correct preaching, lauding the Union cause and damning the Confederates for their "immorality". Pretty out-of-place for a historical site which has, for a very long time, been noted for its even-handedness, spirit of reconciliation and honor towards the bravery of the one-time enemy. This George Floyd era wokeness is offensive and, I would venture, not the kind of history or politics most visitors to Gettysburg would share.
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Jeffrey, I don’t usually hear that my tour isn’t any better than just Google. I take a very, very complex battle played out over 3 days and paint a picture of each moment of that experience — I would argue that most people feel they understood the battle so well BECAUSE of the effort I’ve put into making my tour so understandable. I can’t comment on why you felt it was woke (and why others feel I’m too “easy” on the Confederacy), so I’ll just add that my script has been reviewed and approved by multiple organizations, including the NPS, Heritage Center, and more.

Family friendly self guided tour!
Mallory_F, Aug 2026
I really liked all the facts and that we could travel at our own pace. Especially with kids. I really enjoyed my experience! As did my kids!
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Mallory, thanks for taking my Gettysburg Battlefield GPS audio tour by car. I’m glad you and your kids enjoyed it, learned from the facts, and explored at your pace. Perfect option for those who are car-bound, or during inclement weather!
Kimber_T, Aug 2026
It’s a little difficult to get the tour started, had to request 5 passwords via email before one would actually start the tour in the app. Once you do get it going, it’s easy peasy and well worth that extra 5 minutes. I’ve used this 6 times now as we host family in Gettysburg and they have all loved the ease and ability to go at their own pace.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Kimber, thanks for using my Gettysburg GPS audio tour with your family. I’m glad it worked well for car trips, rainy days, and self-paced exploration. Sorry the initial password setup was hard, but it got easier afterward. If you're ready to explore more, check out my Historic Battlefields Self-Guided Driving Tour Bundle, covering Yorktown, Shiloh, Antietam, Fredericksburg, and Vicksburg. Happy exploring!
Hard to follow the route.
Rita_S, Aug 2026
The route is hard to follow, I am handicapped and couldn't walk, and the route was hard if you didn't get out when the tour told you.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Rita, I’m sorry the route was hard to follow. This is a driving tour, and any walking portions are optional—you can still listen to those stories from your car without getting out. If you need any help, my team and I are available daily from 9 AM to 6 PM EST by phone or chat. Please reach out directly. I’ll be happy to help you get started or assist with a replacement or refund if needed.
Great option once you get hang of it
Stephen_F, Aug 2026
Glad we opted to do this driving self-tour i stead of the open-top bus or a walking tour as it rained half the time. Took a few minutes to get the gyst of how it worked because you are told to drive to an intersection to start, only to be given no facts, just told to drive here and there; we wondered if we were ever going to get tour info and not just directions. It would have been better to have start point at the first info point. But loved the ability to stop and re-start. Lots of info provided in a comfortable way. Would definitely do this again.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Stephen, I’m thrilled you enjoyed my Gettysburg tour and all the stories I told. You should hear stories right from the starting point (Heritage Center, NOT Visitor Center) all the way to Auto Stop 1 (a lot of important background info leading up to the start of the battle). Did you hear those stories?
Would do Again!
Rachelle_H, Aug 2026
When my husband and I went, we did the driving audio tour. I recommend it for anyone that doesn’t like crowds and wants more of a personal experience. There’s so much to see and the program gives you options for more in depth details., not to mention going at your own pace! We were able to see reenactments and take a Ton of pictures. Be sure to leave yourself about 4 hours because you’ll need to stop and use the restroom and eat. We’d Definitely do it again this way!
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Rachelle, thanks for taking my Gettysburg Battlefield GPS Driving Audio Tour. I’m so glad you and your husband enjoyed the personal, self-paced experience and had time to explore, take pictures, and even see reenactments along the way. If you're ready to continue your historical journey, don’t miss my Historic Battlefields Self-Guided Driving Tour Bundle. It offers immersive self-guided tours of Yorktown, Shiloh, Antietam, Fredericksburg, and Vicksburg. Happy exploring!
Very hard to follow.
Julien_A, Aug 2026
Very hard to follow. Not worth it. Very difficult to follow the path. It would be better to download an app dedicated to this or do a bus tou
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Julien, this app is dedicated to the tour. It follows the Auto Tour signs on the battlefield. Can you clarify where it was hard to follow? I never get feedback like this, so I’d like to understand. Please reach out between 9 AM–6 PM EST—I’m happy to arrange a refund or replacement.
Is it just me???
Kathleen_P, Aug 2026
Sounded like it might be good, but we made a wrong turn, I tried to pause it, and couldn’t get it back. Even the same order number did not work any more. That’s on the iPhone; iPad didn’t know where we were (no WiFi), so, nothing. Maybe a map with numbered stops ed work better.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Kathleen, the tour will pick right back up once you're back on the path (no need to hit pause/start/etc.- it’s all hands-free at that point). That may have been the issue. iPads without a GPS chip don’t work because this is a GPS-based tour. I’m available daily from 9 AM–6 PM EST and would be happy to help with a refund or replacement.

Was a great way to see...
Joseph_T, Jul 2026

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Technical issues
Bernie_M, Jul 2026
I had technical issues signing onto the app after booking this through viator. I booked it directly in compliment the company on giving me my credit.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Bernie, I’ve tried to make setup as simple as possible—buy the tour, download the app, and access the tour using the same email—but I’d like to understand what technical issue you had while signing in. Please reach out and let me know, and if you weren’t able to take the tour, I’d be happy to help or offer a replacement tour for your next destination.
Great app but be patient and leave it alone.
Karen_R, Jul 2026
Be patient. We wanted to control the audio, but once we figured out that it was all GPS driven, things went more smoothly. Lots of information, good app, but just let it do its thing.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Karen, I’m glad you found my Gettysburg self-guided audio tour informative and easy once the GPS took over! After downloading beforehand, it works offline and plays automatically, while still letting you pause, play, fast-forward, or rewind anytime. Your tour is valid for life, so I hope you’ll revisit it or try another tour or bundle—happy exploring!

Richard_L, Jul 2026
The app worked well. One time the map suggested we turn but we were supposed to go straight. Using CarPlay the audio portion was displayed on the vehicle screen, but we had to look at the phone to see the interactive map. It would be nice if the map also displayed on the vehicle screen
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Richard, thank you for taking my Gettysburg Battlefield GPS driving audio tour. I’m glad the app worked well overall, and I’ll pass your note about the map suggesting one turn incorrectly to my team for review. I understand it would be helpful to see the interactive map on your vehicle screen. At the moment, the full map and turn-by-turn navigation do not appear on Apple CarPlay, but the tour audio can still play through your car speakers via Apple CarPlay or Bluetooth. Full CarPlay map/navigation integration has already been requested from Apple and is currently awaiting approval. I recommend my Ultimate Gettysburg Battlefield Audio Tours, including Ghosts of the Battlefield, Devil’s Den, Seminary Ridge, and the main tour. Happy exploring!

Tatiana_R, Jul 2026
The audio tour was informative. You could spend as much time as you want at each stop. There were extra narratives you could listen to but we did not select these due to time constraints. Our only problem was downloading the tour since we were not on the internet.

Once downloaded, it works offline during the tour. I recommend my Ultimate Gettysburg Battlefield Audio Tours, including Ghosts of the Battlefield, Devil’s Den, Seminary Ridge, and the main tour. Return to Gettysburg after 70 years.
Larry_B, Jul 2026
Tour application work as advertise. Kept us on track for the tour with lots of information about each stopping point. Also has options for additional details. Should you desire them. Allows you to take as much for his little time as you want for each tour stop. At 16 or $17 I would highly recommend it as an effective and interesting way to tour the battle. I would highly recommend it as a effective and interesting way to tour the battlefield field

Don’t waste your money no value.
Garrett_S, Jul 2026
Hard to connect, easy to pay , only worked at the best 10% of the time. No GPS the app says. Car GPS worked fine. Had us shown at incorrect locations.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Garrett, I’m sorry my Gettysburg Battlefield audio tour did not work as expected. It appears the tour may not have been downloaded beforehand, which is essential because cell service can be limited and my app is designed to work offline once downloaded. You can connect your phone to the car using AUX or Bluetooth for clearer audio, and I’m always just a call, email, or chat away if you need help. Please reach out to me between 9 AM and 6 PM EST, and I’ll be happy to provide a refund.
Worthwhile
Michael_M, Jul 2026
Loved the way it was laid out and it operated flawlessly. My only real problem with it is that the narrator really should have left the affected accents in his bag
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Michael, thank you for taking my Gettysburg Battlefield GPS driving audio tour. I’m glad you found it worthwhile, well organized, and easy to use. I appreciate your feedback about the narrator’s accents and will share it with my team. For more Gettysburg stories, I also recommend my Ultimate Gettysburg Battlefield Audio Tours bundle. Not worth the money
Michelle_s, Jul 2026
This app was so difficult trying to find the starting point it kept telling me I missed a turn and there were no turns, once I got it started it kept repeating the same thing I had to fast forward, then it didn’t show me accurate directions and messed up again. I gave up and stopped the tour
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Michelle, I’m sorry you weren’t able to experience my Gettysburg Battlefield audio tour. At booking, I send an instruction email listing the starting point (Gettysburg Heritage Center) and starting instructions (go to start & launch app for the tour). This is not a GPS, so it can’t automatically recalculate or provide directions directly from individual hotels. Please reach out to me (separate from Viator) between 9 AM and 6 PM EST so I can understand what wasn’t clear.
