A brief tour of the town and for $10, good if you have limited time.

James_H, Apr 2024
For $10, an interesting tour especially if you have limited time. It is a one-way walking tour, so be prepared for the walk back. It ends at the train station which had an interesting VR presentation. Walking back, I found that the tour did have at least one significant miss - the Sweney or Farnsworth house with many bullet holes on the outside wall. I thought it would have been good to include.

Response from Host, Apr 2024

Thank you James! Since my tour checks out the bullet holes at the Jennie Wade House in Stop 6, I took Farnsworth out but I’ll consider adding it back in! If you liked your walk around Gettysburg’s downtown, you might enjoy my Ultimate Gettysburg Self-Guided Bundle Tour too, which offers multiple tours around the town and battlefield. Hope to see you again soon!

Bad

Sue_G, Oct 2023
Difficulty navigating between the map and the audio. The tour did not correlate with our location. We gave up on using the audio tour

informative and relaxing

jaclynn_m, Oct 2022
Was very informative- liked the self paced aspect. Could take time and stop To shop/eat along the way.

Response from Host, Oct 2022

Thanks so much for your feedback, Jaclynn! I'm thrilled that my tour of Downtown Gettysburg added to your learning and that you enjoyed it. I also have 100 other self-guided tours for other national parks, scenic drives, cities, and historic sites in the US. Hopefully, you’ll get the chance to try them next time! Also, just to remind you, the tour you bought is yours for a lifetime. So, you can listen to it at home or on your next visit.

Confusing. We would have been better off paying extra to get a live tour.

Mary_L, Oct 2022
The self tour was pretty confusing and it was difficult to tell where we were on the map. Plus there were two of us and, due to the noise on the street, we could not hear the narration. We could read the information. The other thing I was not happy about is that most of the places on the tour route were souvenir/gift shops and it was extremely difficult to see what was being pointed out, historically, on the tour

Response from Host, Nov 2022

Thank you for your feedback, Mary! I recommend that every tourist buy one per person unless they are ready to share the headphones. I specified in the description, "Stick to our recommended route for the best experience," yet you guys are not following the app's plan. I also have 100 more self-guided tours for various parks, scenic drives, cities, and historical places in the United States – perhaps you'll have a chance to experience them the next time you visit! Also, as a reminder, the tour you purchased is valid for a lifetime. As a result, you may listen to it at home or at your next visit.
