Peaceful and Relaxing Paddle

Matthew_S, May 2025
This is a great and affordable way to experience some of the costal flora and fauna in Pelican Bay. Our guide, Jay, was friendly, helpful, and had insights into the ecosystem through which we paddled. We saw several birds including pelicans and the white cattle egret. There were mangrove mangals that we paddled around in search of manatee. Though we didn't see any, other groups were lucky and spotted some, so they were in the area. We highly recommend this tour as it is accessible, affordable, and entertaining.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We love hearing that Jay made your tour both informative and enjoyable. Pelican Bay is full of surprises—birds, mangroves, and sometimes the elusive manatees—so it’s great to know you got a front-row seat to the ecosystem. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another adventure—you never know who might pop up next! -Stefan

Local kayakers rescued brown pelican

David_M, Nov 2024
Sky did an incredible job on our tour! She was very knowledgeable of the local habitat and wildlife. We came across a brown pelican ensnared and hooked in fishing line and we were able to save it and take it back to the dock to get the help it needed! We will never forget our trip thank you!!

Response from Host, Dec 2024

Thank you so much David! Sky is great and we're glad she was able to rescue the Pelican and give it another chance, while still giving you a great experience as well. We hope you'll come see us again soon! -Stefan

Fantastic adventure!

Joshua_C, Apr 2024
Our tour guide, Mike, was great. He was extremely helpful, good natured and funny. The tour took us through mangrove covered canals then into open water where a manatee swam right by my kayak! A lovely way to spend about 3 hours…thank you!

Response from Host, May 2024

Thank you for your review Joshua! We're glad you had a great paddle with Mike, and got to be up close and personal with some Manatees! We look forward to your next visit! -Stefan

Tour guide was...

Clara_F, Dec 2023
Tour guide was knowledgeable and nice. She tried hard to get some stuff for us to see and make it enjoyable. It was ok but somewhat long for the kids. Think one hour is too short and closer to 3 is kind of long so need something in between. Saw the fin of dolphins and some bubbles or nose from manatee. But was not able to get close enough to get a real picture. Guess it’s due to being in natural environment not at zoo. Guide found some shell life and starfish to touch. Also a mangrove crab to view. Lots of exercise too steering for so long. Launch into water and getting back in was great.

Response from Host, Feb 2024

Thank you for your review Clara! It sounds like you had a great trip and saw a variety of wildlife. We do offer private tours that can be adjusted to the duration that works best for you if you prefer a 2 hour tour in the future. We hope you'll come see us again soon! -Stefan

The thunderstorms we paddled through. Now we have a story to tell our family. The guide was very helpful.

Response from Host, Aug 2023

Thank you for your review Ronald! We do get thunderstorms pretty regularly during the summer, especially in the afternoons and evenings. We suggest booking tours and rentals in the mornings during our summer rainy season to try to avoid these as much as possible. We're glad you enjoyed your guide, and hope to see you again soon! -Stefan

Quiet paddle tour in pure nature. If you're lucky, you can see manatees and dolphins. Don't forget sun protection!

-Stefan
