Make others aware that you are passing on their left. Being silent causes an element of surprise when passing and possibly cause an accident.

The bikes are fantastic and in perfect condition. The on-site training teaches you all you need to know. They give you a map with suggested routes and things not to miss.
Most importantly, the trails are beautiful!

We loved this self guided e bike tour!! The guide was SO helpful and kind! He gave us a rundown of all the route options we could take before we left, taught us the ins and outs of how to use the e bike, and gave us great tips for the ride! Super informative and caring, and it made for a memorable experience! We took our time and ate dinner at Jordan’s Pond house, made may scenic stops for photos, and still made it back in PLENTY of time. No rush at all!

Bikes are awesome. Definitely needed the e-bike to make it easier up the hills. Definitely recommend.
Dianne_D, Jul 2026
The equipment was brand new nice clean helmets. They were very thorough in their explanation of going over the bike the maps you could not have asked for a better company.
MARK_Y, Jul 2026
Very good instruction and maps with numbered corners were easy to follow. The trail system was amazing and the views were better than I could have hoped for. The quality of the E-bike was top notch, comfortable and relatively effortless to ride and we rode for 6 hours. My wife and I will be coming back with family to do it again!

It is a lot of fun, highly recommended for a day out, we chose the perfect day the temperature was perfect. If it was to warm it would have been uncomfortable.
Lisa_M, Jul 2026
It was great to get the e-bike at the visitor center, so we didn’t have to ride on the roads. First time on an e-bike and it was awesome! Overview of how to use e-bike was helpful.
Pete_C, Jul 2026
Great ride. Bikes were very capable. Got to see the entire park. Easy riding. The people were very nice.
Bryon_M, Jul 2026
Well, we went to the wrong location, our fault. But, John stayed back to give us our orientation. He was friendly and knowledgeable. The bikes were comfortable and easy to learn and trail was very scenic. I would definitely recommend it! 😀
KJ_G, Jul 2026
Great bikes and recommendations from staff! For me - this was the best way to see Acadia. Less crowds and beautiful views.
Scott_Y, Jul 2026
This was an excellent way to see Acadia. The Cannondale bikes were awesome and you got a great workout without being exhausted on unable to make the uphill climbs. None of the ascents were too horrific and none of the descents too scary. Great fun!

Wife and I are 70 and first time E Bikers. Felt safe and in control the whole time. Great orientation. Loved the scenery! Highly recommend!
Jim_M, Jun 2026
Our host did a great job teaching us how to operate the e-bikes and navigate the park! A beautiful day of exercise and scenery, split up by a lunch at the Jordan Pond House, made this a highlight of our vacation. Believe the hype, this experience was awesome!
Megan_P, Jun 2026
The brief instruction after check in gave us the perfect amount of information. We had the best time exploring and riding e-bikes for the first time!
AnnaMarie_B, Jun 2026
Easy meetup point. Very helpful instructions and overview before getting started. Provided bottle of water and basket was large to carry anything needed.
Phillip_D, Jun 2026
Be sure you listen to all the instructions, especially on Bike operation. It made all the difference in the world of knowing how to use the bike properly. Instructions were very well given an articulated excellent job.
Bill_M, Jun 2026
If you have never ridden an e bike this is the way to go on hilly rides. Great instruction made riding an e bike for first time easy experience.
David_K, Jun 2026
Kathy and Merrill were wonderful! The bikes were awesome and we had 6 hours of exploring one of the most beautiful parks in the country! Do it - you won't regret it!
Mark_O, May 2026
After test drive around parking lot, my wife was not comfortable and we decided to not rent. The gentlemen helping said we could expect refund. But a voicemail said we would only get 25 percent back. I consider this unfair. Many bikes go unrented each day. We should have gotten a full refund.
Response from Host, May 2026
Hi Mark,
TLDR; Our guests come first and we fully refund dissatisfied guests. Period. We will fully refund your purchase and a quick return call would have resulted in a full refund.
Context:
We can't control whether equipment customers bring will fit our e-bikes. In your case, my understanding is that you were fearful your dog may not stay in the dog carrier you brought along. Not always, but often, in a case where a customer grants we did nothing wrong, a full-refund is not requested. You were promised a full-refund in the field, but that was not communicated to our customer relations team. When we contacted you with the 25% refund we thought we were working out of kindness and good faith. We own that mistake, but think it unfortunate that you didn't just return our call to explain a full-refund was promised. We would have just processed it no-questions-asked.
Anyway, we are sorry both that the dog carrier did not work out and that we failed to issue the 100% refund immediately. We will do so now.
All the best,
Wilton

Absolutely one of the best experiences of our life. This is a quality outfit that does things the right way. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Karen_R, May 2026
A great way to explore the carriage roads of Acadia. My 23 y/o daughter and I had the best time. We stopped to enjoyed beautiful walking trails, waterfalls and bridges along the way. We covered close to 25+ miles within 6 hours. The carriage roads are a must see. Can’t imagine the architectural planning to create all these beautiful trails ❤️
Ashley_M, May 2026
From the customer service over the phone, to the owner giving us a great overview of the bikes before we headed out, to helpful recommendations on which trails to take, our experience was definitely 5 stars. We cannot say enough good things about our e-bike tour at Acadia, do yourself a favor and book now, you won’t regret it!
Tina_P, May 2026
It was a fabulous way to see Acadia. The views were incredible and the bikes were easy to navigate !
David_K, Apr 2026
25 mile loop all on car roads. Early season meant no carriage roads. It also meant none of the park amenities were open. We were planing on buying food during our ride but again everything closed. But this was the days we could get family together and the lack of crowds made up for our inconveniences. Bikes were easy and fun. Much better than seeing the park out of a car window.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
**Note to future guests: This review is only relevant to to tours/rentals conducted during Acadia National Park's Carriage Roads closure for the wet season, usually April to early May. We contacted this guest in-advance with an option for a full-refund or free upgrade to the guided tour of the park loop road. They chose the latter.**
We're so happy that you enjoyed our fallback tour on the Park Loop Road. We open up in mid-April to start getting in the guiding groove and introduce early-season visitors to the park. As you said, sometimes family schedules demand an early season visit. Thank you so much for the kind review -- we're so happy you enjoyed the ride and hope to see you again soon!

This was the most fun thing when we visited Acacia. Definitely don’t try to do this with regular bikes! Hahaha we were blowing past everyone who was struggling without e-bikes. It was worth every single penny!!! LOVED THIS EXPERIENCE!

We had an excellent experience with our self-guided e-Bike tour of Acadia. We met the staff from Island Time Ebike Rentals at the Hulls Cove Vistor's Center. We were given an orientation on the park and use of the bikes. Safety was a priority. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of our questions. The guide map they provided was great. This was our first time at Acadia and we definitely appreciated having the 'full day' bike rental as it allowed us to see a lot of the park's interior via the carriage roads. The carriage roads are wide and hard packed gravel, with only bikes or pedestrians (and the occasional carriage) allowed. We rode 29.5 miles and had a great time, with frequent stops to take in the scenery. At the end of our ride, staff met us and collected our bikes and helmets. The bikes were 2025 Cannondale ebikes and were in almost new condition. We'd highly recommend this tour and tour operator.

Pairing the self guided tour with the recreational equipment of the e-bike and the scenic beauty of Acadia and the carriage roads yielded a fantastic tourist experience for us. We’d already driven and hiked the park but 20+ miles on the carriage road allowed us access to most of the park that we had not yet seen.
The service was great and incredibly convenient. Safety was emphasized. We highly recommend this excursion.
