This was amazing! Would definitely do it again! The crew was awesome. They had a man singing and playing the guitar. Sunset was beautiful and even got to help lift the sails. A must do for sure!

Even on a nice day, it’s very cold.
Probably needed a heavy jacket, pants, and a hat.
It would be great if they served coffee or hot chocolate or something warm.

Loved it! I went early in the season, so it was cold, but the staff provided blankets! I was grateful for this! The crew was very friendly and navigated around the bay with ease. It was a fun way to see the islands and lighthouses in the area.

Beautiful sunset cruise. Captain was knowledgeable and shared information, was big on safety which I appreciated.
One disgruntled crew member who complained about her role to another coworker. Beyond that everyone was professional. Could have used another server for drinks.
Overall though, an amazing experience! Wonderful memories made.

This trip was very disappointing. We were packed in very tight and the crew was awful. I felt like I was at the TSA check in at the airport and the crew was rude and unapologetic. Please don't waste your money.

My experience was fun, but I didn’t realize that Viator took a 55% markup on the real cost of the tickets. I will think twice and compare costs next time.

Great way to experience Bar Harbour. Beautiful boat n very professional crew that involved tourists in sailing. Definitely would recommend.

We went on a beautiful day in June. The ship was beautiful and the crew was capable and confident. It was fun helping to raise the sales and the narrative was interesting, too. The wind was good enough that we were able to sail half the time which was very special. Would highly recommend this cruise!

Thought we would cruise around Bar Harbor more instead of floating on Frenchman Bay. A little boring and too many people.

The vendor called and had to cancel due to bad weather my I rescheduled it for Sunday morning. Not sure what else to say u til Sunday after taking the tour

Great way to experience Frenchman’s bay and Acadia from the water. Informative great crew. Beautiful sunset views.

Beautiful boat with an excellent crew, just don’t get your hopes up on seeing wildlife. We were recalling hoping to sees some seals or porpoises but all the creatures were hiding
Paula_B, Jun 2026
Beautiful, fun adventure. They were friendly and educational. Our family enjoyed it very much. I would recommend.

This was a beautiful 150 ft sailboat and the captain was very knowledgeable about the area and the crew was excellent. Make sure you have a coat because the wind was up which made it very chilly but it was beautiful out in the bay.

The young crew was great! The Captain offered great insight to all we saw. Saw some eagles. Heard of the challenges the lobster fishermen deal with. Great insight for this mountain man!! Helped raise a sail.

Beautiful experience would recommend it highly. Great views, the ship was smooth and it was very well organized.

The boat had way too many people on it. We were jam packed like sardines. For the cost of the ticket, it was unacceptable to put that many people on one boat. We suspect they combined two trips because they canceled the later one due to weather. In hindsight, For $100 more, we could’ve gone on a private charter and had a peaceful, unique experience. This was a waste of our time and money. On a positive note: the crew was nice.

This is an excellent way to get a view of the beauty of the surroundings from the water. A great experience.
Trish_A, Oct 2025
Very crowded, uncomfortable seating, poor sound system, could barely hear the captain so missed most of what he said. —not worth the money
Duncan_D, Oct 2025
Very nice sunset cruise around the harbor!
Comfortable seating with lots of room for everyone. Loved having a guitarist onboard!
Craig_A, Oct 2025
Enjoyed the ship, the crew and of course the path of travel. I felt that number of passengers decreased the sailing experience.
Candice_M, Oct 2025
Boarding was quick and finding seats easy. Watching them put up sails was fun. Scenery was beautiful. We even saw a bald eagle. Crew was friendly.
William_R, Oct 2025
Try to arrive alittle early ,because of parking, very busy and towards the fall bring a jacket, captain was informative
Jim_G, Oct 2025
If you’ve never been on a boat before you probably would have enjoyed more. Not enough wind for the sails. The crew was fantastic though. Slowly touring around the bay only seeing a few seal heads pop up
Duane_C, Oct 2025
Overall, a nice ride around the harbor. Could have had a little more narration to make it more interesting, but still quite enjoyable.
Kerry_F, Oct 2025
I thought he would go further out of the bay and seemed short because he lingered and the bathrooms were so bad I had to cover my nose. But it was a pleasant experience to be on the boat and staff was great
Kelly_H, Oct 2025
The event should have been canceled due to temperature, wind, and swells. It was a miserable expensive experience that was cut short by the elements. It was mentioned that the next days tours had already been canceled to expected weather conditions. I believe they took advantage of the our cruise being in port that day.
Rebecca_R, Oct 2025
The crew was polite, patient, and knowledgeable! I thought we’d sail around more, but the sites were so picturesque!!
Mike_E, Sep 2025
Weather was sunny and still. The captain elected to sit becalmed with (mostly) full sail rather than motor about. There was so much to see in the area, all we saw were distant island silhouettes and lobster pot floats. In addition, be aware that tickets were available at the pier for 40% less than Viator. For a group our size, we could have/should have chartered private.
Michele_F, Sep 2025
Since there was little wind and a storm coming we sailed in circles in the harbor. We also got back to the dock in a little over an hour well before the sunset. The trip was supposed to be 1.5 - 2 hrs which was supposed to be a sunset cruise.
The crew was very nice and the guitarist was good but it was not much of a sailing cruise.
Robyn_T, Sep 2025
Crew was great. The venture was quite lame. No one announced that they served beverages. It was the quietest boat ride I have ever been on.
