What an experience!

Love that we were able to be picked up at our local location. Driver was extremely great, if you ever get a chance ask for Austin. very knowledgeable about Bar Harbor and about the excursion that we were doing through Acadia national park. had great points of interest for us and was able to answer all the questions that we. had great personality, great people and Van only held a maximum of 10 people so it was nice to do it with a smaller group. highly recommend doing it this way, I think you get more for your money doing it this way.

Enjoyable Acadia Tour!!

I booked online for a 2.5 hour tour guide of Acadia National Park showcasing all of the sights I otherwise may have intentionally or unintentionally overlooked.. We mostly wanted an historical viewpoint. The tour guide, Rick, was very punctual and friendly. He left no stone unturned. Tons of factual information. Everything from the wealthy family's who funded, supported, were detail oriented in order for the success of the Park to enable many many years into the future for generations to enjoy!. Also geologically he shared a bevy of information about the Park, that mostly captivated my husband😊 We enjoyed the natural elements discussed. Hearing about the animals and their habitats. The first stop was Cadillac Mountain. The weather was so gorgeous anyway, it only enhanced the already incredible views. Truly magnificent! We were there for 20 minutes. Plenty of bathrooms at every stop I should point out. Next stop were the wild gardens of Acadia. So calming and beautiful! Along the way there were other photo opportunities he stopped briefly. Lastly we went to Thunder Hole. Walked down steps. Just take your time. There are guardrails. If the stone was wet it would probably be a bit slippery. But today, dry as can be. View once again so beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice. The thunder was a bit of a loud groan. Mostly because waters were basically calm. It takes some turbulence to create that sound. But it was a great experience anyway. Toward he end of the tour he leaned more into the indian history and Abbe Museum, which we will see next time. Lots of friendliness and light hearted moments. Very enjoyable afternoon. Well worth it!

Woody is the best tour guide that I have experienced. He's very knowledgeable about Bar Harbor and it's surroundings. Even has a Youtube channel (AcadiaWoody). Check it out!!! Give great advice on where to eat, lodging, and other activities to do in the area that are not on the tour. Highly recommend Woody!!!

Spectacular day at Acadia

I would categorize the hiking as a moderate exertion level. Uphill, rocky with alot of tree roots to walk through. The reward was great though with spectacular views at the top or beautiful coves. Hannah was a great guide. Very knowledgeable, informative and enthusiastic about the park. We got to see so much more than doing it on our own. Only criticism was in the description of what was included was, “ a selection of beverages.” The only thing available was a jug of water. Other than that, it was a great and memorable day.

A Truly Personalized Acadia Experience

We had a wonderful experience with Ralph as our private tour guide in Acadia. From the very beginning, he was personable, engaging, and genuinely interested in getting to know us and what we wanted from our day. One of the things that made the tour especially memorable was how Ralph connected different parts of his own life and experiences in Maine to the places we visited. Those personal stories added so much depth and made the tour feel like we were experiencing Acadia with someone who truly loves and knows the area. Ralph never made us feel like we were simply following a set itinerary. He gave us options, asked questions, listened to our interests, and adjusted the day accordingly. It felt truly personalized to our family rather than like a standard tour. Most importantly, Ralph was incredibly considerate of my dad’s mobility issues. We never felt rushed or pressured to keep up. He was patient, accommodating, and made sure everyone could enjoy the experience comfortably. We would highly recommend Ralph to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely thoughtful guide. He helped make our time in Acadia special and gave us an experience we’ll remember for a long time.

Great option for travelers with mobility restrictions!

Great option for travelers with mobility restrictions! Due to health issues, we were unable to hike any of the trails. This tour was a really fun way to experience the park and know what was worth getting out of the car for and where exactly to do it. We were able to see the highlights in a very manageable way on our own schedule. We truly enjoyed the narration and learned a lot about the history of the park in the process. Once the tour was downloaded it was very easy to use and, because it shows you exactly where you are in relation to the narration markers, we could be certain that it was working and we weren’t missing anything. 10/10!

Beautiful Acadia

This Acadia Park experience was perfect for us! Our guide, Chris, was incredibly friendly, informative, attentive, and funny. He shared lots of history about Bar Harbor and how it connects to the park. The tour took us to several key spots in the park, including Cadillac Mountain, the Sieur de Monts Nature Center, Thunder Hole, and Jordan Pond. At Cadillac Mountain, we were immediately captivated by the scenery, and Chris shared all sorts of fascinating facts about each tour stop. We had plenty of time to explore each spot and appreciate the beauty of Acadia. The Sieur de Monts Nature Center we enjoyed chatting with the Park Ranger inside the center. My husband and I definitely would recommend this tour, especially because of the small group size and the air conditioning was a plus along with the bottled water.

Pete checked every box possible on this tour! His knowledge of Acadia and the surrounding region were complete, thorough and deeply thought through. Great day learning about Acadia Mational Park, Bar Harbor and surrounding areas. Our tour guide Bill, sounds like “Belle” with his accent, was funny, informative and flexible with what we wanted to do and see! He took us to eat lunch at Beal’s Restaurant where we had the best lobster and lobster roll! Highly recommend this tour and hopefully you will get Bill as your tour guide!
