The guide was hard to understand, he gave no commentary on the trip down and was not dynamic nor well organised when we arrived at Mt Vernon
The driver/tour guide went above and beyond with the special needs of one of our group. He made the day seamless and easy so we could enjoy the day even more. He was so knowledgeable about the history as well.
Our guide was very informative and had his own very enjoyable style. He is a very nice young man. We enjoyed the tour a lot

Great tour to learn about George Washington as a person and Mt Vernon. Also, the tour guide Jared was very friendly and knowledgable. Being a small group of 12 makes a big difference too.

Really enjoyed the tour. Jared, our tour guide, was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. He even went out of his way to drop me off at my hotel at the end of the tour.

We LOVED our tour to Mt. Vernon with Jared. He did a beautiful job fleshing out the experience with historical details and would highly recommend him and the tour to anyone! We went with our 8 and 11 year old kids, and it was paced well for them.

Our group of four was picked up in a van by our driver Galen in front of Air and Space Museum. We drove to Mount Vernon and we were offered chips and water on the drive. Galen gave us a history of Mt Vernon along the drive. He was kind, polite and informative. Once we arrived at Mt Vernon, Galen stayed close to our group throughout the day. I highly recommend this trip as we learned so many interesting facts about George Washington.

Our tour guide, Galen, was more of a chauffeur than a guide. He gave us a bunch of information in the car on the way there, which he did in an oddly repetitive manner, but at Mt. Vernon he really just walked with us and read the signs for things aloud (“Store House,” “Smokehouse,” etc.). He was perfectly nice and friendly, but I’m not sure we got more out of the trip than we would have if we just did a self-guided tour of the Washington estate.

Diego was an excellent tour guide! Mount Vernon is beautiful although the staff that work at the house rush you through it a bit. Diego answered any questions I was unable to ask the staff. He was even kind enough to take me on the tour in the rain, even though I was the only person that signed up.

Galen was our guide and I rate him as outstanding. He knows everything there is to know about American history. Galen was supposed to drop us off by the National Mall, but because there was a sudden heavy rainstorm, he brought us to our hotel. This was above and beyond what we expected. Great afternoon for a great tour.

Touring Mt. Vernon was great but the tour guide and transport was terrible. I would not recommend to anyone. You would be better off getting to Mt. Vernon yourself. Due to all the activities going on in downtown DC, the tour guide had to change the pickup location, which was fine. However with the extreme heat, I called him about 20 mins before the pickup asking what kind of transport to expect so we could be on the lookout for when he arrived so we could remain in the shaded areas. I was told "Don't worry about it". "If I don't see you, I'll call you." Really? The sprinter van was clean but smelled of recent smoke that made me want to barf. The 25 min drive to Mt Vernon was painful listening to useless commentary to fill dead air space. Then when we arrived, we were treated to warm water bottles to enjoy in 90 degree heat. The tour around the property was interesting and cool, and we avoided eyesight with the tour guide so we wouldnt be subject to more useless chatter. Really enjoyed the Mt. Vernon site, but again, would have preferred handling it independently, rather than paying $100 pp for terrible tour company. I was really surprised that a reputable company like this provided something so shameful. Thankfully we had a friend pick us up at Mt. Vernon rather than have to take the return trip. AVOID AT ALL COST!
