Fun trip
my tour of Monterrey, Carmel, and the iconic 17-Mile Drive was absolutely incredible, largely thanks to our amazing guide, Eric. From the moment the tour started, Eric brought fantastic energy, local knowledge, and a great sense of humor that kept everyone engaged.
He knew all the best spots to stop for photos—from the dramatic coastlines to the Lone Cypress—and shared fascinating history and stories about the area that we never would have discovered on our own. Eric truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

Perfect day
This is a perfectly balanced experience. Visiting two different wineries to taste and buy but to also get two hours in Sonoma as a “choose your own adventure”
Our driver Jeffrey was knowledgeable and friendly…going above and beyond to make this a great experience.

Can’t go wrong with this tour!
Enjoyed the tour and met a few new friends in the process. Our tour guide was Marc and he was fantastic. Very outgoing and knowledgeable and gave us interesting information along the way. If you are in town for a short stay, this tour also checked the box by riding on the Golden Gate Bridge and pulling over for some pictures. This tour didn’t make us feel like we were on a timer and was very relaxed. Recommend and can’t go wrong with this tour.

Grooving with the Painted Ladies
Traveling the streets of San Francisco in a VW Van you get a fun and personalized tour (our tour guide connected things we saw to what he learned about us). We got history, a better understanding of the layout of the city, and time to stop for photos. I thoroughly enjoyed the music and info from our tour guide.

Book this!!!
This is an absolutely life changing experience, Viktor will not be your tour guide but your friend. He will show you the best spots and get your best angles. If i could book this trip at least once a week i probably would. The sights you will see on this trip will take your breath away. Half moon, el cap, the waterfalls, the sequoias, and so much more. You stop early to get some snacks at a grocery store and fill up your water and such then you make your way to one of the best experiences in your life. Like i said earlier book this trip. You will not be upset you did so, and while your at it see if you can request a tour guide, Viktor is the best person for this trip (no offense to the other guides lol).

So much fun!
Our tour guide, German guy, forgot his name was amazing. Charming and funny and so knowledgeable about SF history. Very easy going pace and we were able to cover Sausalito, red woods, pics by golden gate, and a drop off at Alcatraz pier. My 10 yr old son loved it.

Spectacular day!
Can highly recommend this excursion to Yosemite from San Francisco. A long day and early start but absolutely worth it. Yosemite is so spectacular, a real bucket list moment. Sharon, our tour guide was fabulous and made sure that the group had everything they needed and experienced as much as possible throughout the day. So glad we were part of the group on that day, really special. Well done Extranomical!

Mixed age groups
It was an amazing way to see the city and the entire Bay Area! We went at the end of May and the sky cleared up just in time for our 11:45 ride. We had 3 elder guest who only spoke Spanish and they had a great time listening to all the history through headphones. The sitting options everywhere were also key. One elder had a cane and got to go to the front to board. She was given extra time before the rest rushed behind her. All in all highly recommend this for mixed age groups.

Fantastic Tour
Ron our tour guide was a fantastic. He took the time to give some history of the vinyards visited and we were also able to stop and get some good pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Sanfrancisco and Oakland Bay bridge. Well worth the money. Highly rexommended.

Magical
Muir Woods is absolutely beautiful. Walking among the redwoods early in the morning was magical. I highly recommend taking one of the early morning tours to Muir Woods. If you want to experience the woods in relative quiet and really take in the atmosphere without constant chatter, going early makes a big difference.
The tour itself was very well organized. Our guide made a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge and kept the group engaged throughout the drive with stories and commentary. He had a good sense for the group dynamic and managed to keep everyone entertained. Since we had extra time, he also added an additional stop at the Palace of Fine Arts, which was a nice bonus.
On the way back, we stopped in Sausalito and had the option to either return with the tour or take the ferry back ourselves, which I’d also recommend if the weather is nice.
Overall, it was a great experience and a very enjoyable way to see Muir Woods and the surrounding area.

Great Day!
Absolutely incredible trip to Yosemite. Long day of traveling to and from, but comfortable transportation. Made midway stop for break to and from Yosemite, could pick up food, drinks in grocery store or several fast food restaurants. Dropped us off at our hotel. Really nice guide. Highly recommend!

Not seeing something you are looking for?
A small peninsula in the middle of the California coast, San Francisco makes a strategic base camp for exploring Northern California and the Central Coast. See some of the Golden State's most iconic attractions by embarking on guided day trips from San Francisco, traveling to such destinations as California's wine country, redwood forests, national parks, and the coastal cities of Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea. Not only do these tours take care of all the planning and driving, but they can include packages with wine tastings, lunch, and dinners. Some even combine trips to two, three, or more attractions in one day.
