What are people saying about San Francisco

Must do food tour!
Scott was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide with a real passion for teaching visitors about the history of San Francisco. We enjoyed an incredible variety of food—BBQ pork buns, Peking duck, noodles, pot stickers, sesame balls, fudge, salt water taffy, margherita pizza, and cannoli. Along the way, we saw memorable sights like the Bruce Lee mural, City Lights Bookstore, Café Trieste (where Coppola wrote part of the Godfather), the Banksy mural, and the Jazz mural. The tea tasting at Vital Tea Leaf was a highlight, and the four hours flew by. If you’re on the fence about a Viator food tour, don’t hesitate. Book now and ask for Scott for your guide!

Grooving with the Painted Ladies
Traveling the streets of San Francisco in a VW Van you get a fun and personalized tour (our tour guide connected things we saw to what he learned about us). We got history, a better understanding of the layout of the city, and time to stop for photos. I thoroughly enjoyed the music and info from our tour guide.

Must do!
The Best!!!! What I thought was going to be a bike ride across the bridge turned out to be so much more. The guide was very knowledgeable and took us to some unique spots. We were first time e-bike users and had a great experience. Would definitely recommend.

Highly recommend this tour!
Ryan was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and such an overall down-to-earth guy that loves San Francisco. He taught us a lot of things about the nature of the city, the history of the Chinese people that immigrated here, and took us to some of his favorite spots.
I especially enjoyed the tea tasting - Mei was excellent at explaining each type of tea, how to brew it, and what flavor profile and health benefits each tea had.
We got to try so many different and delicious foods! Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Ryan for making my partner’s first time in San Francisco a memorable one.

Perfect mix of delicious food and local history
We loved our North Beach/Little Italy Food Tour! Isabella is very knowledgeable about the area and its history. She has built relationships with the restaurant owners and takes good care of her customers. If I ever go back to San Francisco, I would absolutely do a different tour with her.

Spectacular day!
Can highly recommend this excursion to Yosemite from San Francisco. A long day and early start but absolutely worth it. Yosemite is so spectacular, a real bucket list moment. Sharon, our tour guide was fabulous and made sure that the group had everything they needed and experienced as much as possible throughout the day. So glad we were part of the group on that day, really special. Well done Extranomical!

Thom Is the Bomb
My wife and I go on many ghost tours—not necessarily due to a belief in the paranormal but because it’s usually a great pairing with a more traditional city tour at learning a city’s more complete history. Thom demonstrated a masterclass performance and due diligence at inculcating us all with his dark tales of San Francisco alongside the spirit of renewal and resurgence the city itself lives as a credo. Brilliant orator with a fine set of approaches to all of these stories—this is THE guy to share this local history!

Don’t miss this!
Wow! What a great way to experience the Mission District. Mark was an amazing guide, full of information and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed this itinerary, the history and of course the food. Don’t hesitate to book this if you are looking for a great overview of history, culture and delicious food tastings!

Best Tour Guide Ever
Alcatraz was surreal, educational, and incredibly interesting. The audio tour, narrated by former guards and inmates, really brought the prison’s history to life. Learning about the Indian occupation was powerful, and the views and gardens were beautiful.
Muir Woods was peaceful and breathtaking, with majestic redwoods and calming trails, while Sausalito was a charming seaside town. Our tour guide was informative, friendly, funny, and made the entire experience unforgettable. 10/10!

Loved the Cruise, but have cocktails prior
Great experience for family visiting from Memphis TN. Purchased 2 cocktails while aboard. Tequila Sunrise 10$ , Vodka N Tonic w/splash of OJ ??? Total for both 34$,. I found this absurd, server could/would not explain charges and didn't give receipt when asked. I spoke with Fleet main office and concern to be forwarded to private vendor, operating on cruise

Breathtakingly
This was a wonderful tour with a peaceful walk in Muir Woods. For seniors there is the option to decline the entry fee and use your National Park Pass. Several on our tour didn’t realize this. The stop in Sausalito was nice for the ice cream and views, our guide took us on a drive through the headlands stopping for the most magnificent views of San Francisco. Highly recommend this small group tour!

Great experience!
Be prepared for a 2-3 mile hike at the early end of the trip. Have good shoes and water. The valley is just wonderful. We stayed in the Valley View Lodge which is abut 45 minutes outside of the park. The Valley Lodge is more convenient to the Yosemite Village where the museum, Ansel Adams gallery, shops, theatre, and food are located. I suggest the film about Yosemite at the theater too. The views up at the granite formations from the valley floor are incredible. It's a very peaceful and yet thrilling experience!

Move over cable cars—San Francisco is a town best explored on foot. The compact city is 7 square miles (18 square kilometers) of dense neighborhoods, historic alleyways, hilltop viewpoints, and urban green spaces. While San Francisco walking tours are great for experiencing the unique character of city neighborhoods—and even a certain world-renowned bridge—they can venture beyond the beaten trails that bus tours rarely tread. They're also often organized around themes such as architecture, hiking, street art, cuisine, history, and even ghosts.
