What are people saying about San Francisco

Lunch and learn
We had a great time, touring Chinatown and eating some delicious food as a small group of friends. Without our guide, we would have missed most of what we learned since many of the things she pointed out were not at all obvious to us. We did the tour over lunch, which was really great since we didn’t have to plan a separate meal. We loved it!

I did Alcatraz first and...
I did Alcatraz first and then Muir Woods. It was literally the perfect day. Our tour guide, Dustin, was so kind and knew a lot about the city. The van was really comfortable and we had adequate time at each stop. I would definitely recommend the tour I did to anyone who isn’t visiting San Francisco for a super long time and wants to see a few things in one day!

Marcus is awesome!
The trip started a little rocky with our guide calling after 10 ( trip started at 10) to say they would be at the shop in 20 minutes. Marcus showed up for his 11:00 city tour trip and saved the day. I was able to go on his tour instead- and I'm so glad the first trip didn't pan out!! Marcus knew a lot of San Francisco history, and had a great book on the ride to share even more! If I were to do it all again I wouldn't hesitate to book the city tour with Marcus- worth the 4 hours if you want to bike through all parts of the city. I had plenty of time to bike to Crissy park, onto the Golden Gate bridge, into Sausalito with a quick bite to eat and back to the shop before time to turn in the bike. Thank you Marcus for showing me around the amazing San Francisco!

Ask for Keith
Guide: Keith is a san francisco native and strong storyteller. He bought the energy and read the crowds engagement. Good driver as well..
The time to walk the trails was a highlight.took several hundred pics. Also say climbers on El Capitan.
Advice: stay overnight. For such a long drive, we wanted to take in more (stars+).
Logistics: easy to follow with many followup.
Con: could not get the audio download option to work and gave up on that - which was ok, nature had its own soundtrack.

The best way to see San Fran!
What an amazing day! Dara made this day magical, giving interesting details, but not too much information. She struck a great balance! Her expertise with juggling the timing of multiple types of transport was exemplary. The things we saw were fabulous… a wonderful overview of all that San Francisco offers and many insights that would not have been learned without the benefit of the tour. It was fun, calm, and simply lovely to just ‘follow the leader’, removing all stress from exploring the city, along with the bonus of being able to relax while we explored. There was a wonderful variety in the city areas visited, from food, multi cultural areas, architecture, transport, music, hippie era, equality, and historical connections. This was a super day out, offering a fantastic overview of everything San Francisco!

North Beach walking tour
It was a great walking tour of North Beach. We had canollis, espresso, fettuccine alfredo, a slice of pizza, and some delicious gelato to finish it all off. Everything was very good and our guide was very knowledgeable about the area. I highly recommend this tour.

Loved the whole...
Loved the whole experience. Mark our guide was very knowledgeable and walked us through the history of Mission street and introduced us to the delicacies! My 18 and ten year old kids enjoyed it as much as us adults. Will recommend it to anyone wanting to know more about the food and history of SF

San Francisco City Tour
Comprehensive tour that gave a great overview of San Francisco, Muir Woods and a visit to Alcatraz. The tour guide Per, was very engaging and had excellent knowledge of the area, also liked the way that he blended his playlist to match the tour with artists that had either recorded tracks in the area or had recorded songs that had San Francisco in the title. GREAT Job, I would highly recommend Dylans Tours.

Knowledgeable and friendly tour guide
Great afternoon walking around Chinatown and North Beach. Several stops for food that were all delicious. Entertaining stop to sample and learn about tea. The guide knew so much about the buildings, people and history we couldn’t have learned on our own.
Be prepared to walk a lot on hilly terrain. The guide was great about frequent stops to tell a story or point something out so I wasn’t to exhausted during the day but am feeling it today!

Worth it!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Ideal weather, and our guide Jonathan provided plenty of insights and history about the city and Muir Woods. Would highly recommend to others! One note that others have said: It’s not an exaggeration that the last few miles of the ride into the park is rough if you’re prone to car sickness. LOTS of twists and turns. Everything else was A+.

Wonderful for everyone
We had a wonderful time and I want others to know, if they have a hard time with steep hikes, they need to be prepared for that. Otherwise, the stories were wonderful. Our family included a party of eight including people who were 12, 16, 21, 26, and 53. All genders and ages enjoyed this.

Dont think about it - just do it!
Absolutely loved this - so, so, so much fun!!!!! What a genius way to see more of the city without guides and rushing etc.
We couldn't recommend this enough - so you get a little bike/car thing and a sat nav to guide you on your way. The sat nav almost has a personality and makes it so much better - it gives interesting facts along the way and you get to take it at your own pace and skip bits if you dont fancy it. It was brilliant and should be in more cities.

Move over cable cars—San Francisco is a town best explored on foot. The compact city is 7 square miles (18 square kilometers) of dense neighborhoods, historic alleyways, hilltop viewpoints, and urban green spaces. While San Francisco walking tours are great for experiencing the unique character of city neighborhoods—and even a certain world-renowned bridge—they can venture beyond the beaten trails that bus tours rarely tread. They're also often organized around themes such as architecture, hiking, street art, cuisine, history, and even ghosts.
