Our guide”Tara” was informative, knowledgeable and friendly. She was enjoyable with her silly jokes and interaction with us. We brought our own props of flowered head bands, round framed colored glasses and our peace sign necklace. It made the experience a lot of fun. We had so many compliments and interactions with the people on the streets. We laughed the whole 2 hours.

Pickup instructions were clear. Tara was right on time and very welcoming! She entertained and educated us and the Love Van went everywhere! We saw parts of the city we never would have gotten to. Music was fun and her little accomplice Rosie was the sugar on top. It really was one of the best parts of our trip!would definitely recommend. So worth it!

The perfect tour on a perfect San Francisco day!

Marce_G, May 2026
We had an amazing tour around San Francisco with a very knowledgeable tour guide named Kai (sp??). He was exceptional and his vast knowledge of the history and beauty around every corner made this tour worth every penny. I would happily take it again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city. There is so much more to it than Pier 39. ☺️

Love the Love Tour!

Valerie_C, May 2026
An absolute must do! The tour guide was AMAZING, so knowledgeable and very funny. We so enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely do it again!!!

What a great day out!

What a great day out! Really worth doing. The hippy bus takes you to so many places the bigger buses arent allowed. Highly recommend

Phenomenal Experience!

Paul_S, May 2026
Our tour operator “Kai” was fun, knowledgeable and kind. He made a 2hrs San Fran city tour seem like an 8 hr journey!!! We learned soooooo much about the city. And oh…… “Maggy” the VW was fun too !!!

best Value Fun Tour of SF

Absolutely brilliant way of seeing San Fran and driver Kai was a goldmine of information and great guy.

Sarah_N, May 2026
This was the highlight of my trip! Tara was personable, knowledgeable, fun, and everything quintessential San Francisco! Even with a disability this was a comfortable and accessible way to see and learn so much of the unique history of San Francisco. This is a must do, and we will be back!

As first times to San Francisco, this tour gave a great introduction to the city. Our guide, Ky, was fantastic, blending in history and tourist information. Highly recommend hanging in a hippie van for a few hours.

Brilliant experience

Great experience. Learn such a lot about different places drive through/around. Guide was very friendly.

High Expectations, Low Effort

Kaliva_M, May 2026
It was all in all a good time. My expectations were just high. Very friendly driver, and nice passengers. I just expected the music to be a bit louder at least so we could hear what was playing and passers by can also hear us coming and going. It was just a bit more dull than expected in that aspect. I also expected a larger van, but I did love the design of the van, very festive and historical. I don’t think it was worth the $87 per person, maybe $65 would be more realistic but hey we’re at war just like the 60s 😃✨

Loved the Love Hippie Bus Tour !

Thomas_W, May 2026
Tara our guide was an incredible person ! She was lovely , kind and funny ! She showed us all of San Francisco ! She was even kind enough to take many pictures of me and my wife at the Golden Gate Bridge! The best tour I’ve ever had in my life ! I enjoyed it immensely !

Best tour in town

Tina_C, May 2026
This was so much fun! As a hippie era fan, this was right up my alley. Our driver was on time, very knowledgeable, funny with wit & full of hippie-themed “dad jokes”, & seemed to really love her job.. The vintage van was exactly how it was described with the paint job and shag carpet, 60’s music when she wasn’t talking (which I love that she didn’t try to talk over the music!), & the roof windows were outlined with silk flowers. At first I thought, “I paid THAT much to ride in a small, old, metal van?” Then immediately after I thought it, my inner self realized, “it’s part of the authenticity and charm. You dressed the part, so step back in time & enjoy it, dummy.” And THAT, I did & loved every minute of it! We saw everything listed in the description, and the driver was happy to take photos of my daughter and me at the Golden Gate Bridge with the van. She was courteous by opening & closing the van doors at every in & out stop. The only thing that could’ve made it any better is if she had dressed the part as well. Not complaining at all though. It would’ve just been the icing on the cake. It was far more intimate than the crowded big bus tours and we could go places a big bus can’t, like Lombard street, where she said the by standers loves when the Love Bus comes through. And sure enough, they absolutely did…snapping photos & videos, waving, smiling. The driver had her window down & interacting with them with ✌🏻 out the window, and being 100% in the moment myself, I had my ✌🏻 at the window as well with a smile. My daughter is not as much of a hippie era fan as I am, and even SHE said she could ride in that van all day! It was the best part of our day!

A fun way to tour San Francisco. Our tour guide Ky was great. Lots of information and good sense of humor.

Great way to be introduced to San Francisco

Ben_P, May 2026
My wife and I loved this tour! Would highly recommend this to anyone. It was a great way to get introduced to the city of San Francisco! Our tour guide, the cousin we didn’t know we had, Cyrus was amazing. Can’t say enough good things about him. We loved that he was born and raised in the area. He had a whole lifetime of stories and experiences that really helped bring some of the areas we saw to life. Driving around giving peace signs as we rode in the 1970 VW Bus was fun! Totally worth every penny!!

Exceeded expectations

Becky_C, May 2026
Tour guide was knowledgeable, considerate and intentional in ensuring each individual was engaged in this experience. A packed full tour of sights and history was shared. San Francisco is an amazing city!

Saturdays can be alittle crazy if you are on a time crunch. Kai was very accommodating and took us directly to our cruise ship. He was an entertaining driver and made it an enjoyable experience. I totally recommend.

Cyrus, our new San Fran cousin and tour guide extraordinaire

Kathleen_C, May 2026
Cyrus was a great. We loved all the knowledge about San Francisco that our new “cousin” shared with us. You just can’t see a city and all its hidden gems without an excursion like this one. Actual tour ran closer to 2 and a half hours but we didn’t mind.

Tera was the perfect guide for our afternoon Love Bus Tour! She has great energy and is very knowledgeable.

A fun experience

Megan_G, May 2026
A fun way to see the city. Dave our driver was knowledgeable and a great guide. This tour helped us get orientated to the city and gave ideas for places to visit in more detail.

Lousy communication

Tony_M, May 2026
We didn’t get to experience it because the directions where the location started were misconstrued he said fisherman‘s war and then he said a different corner and nobody said fisherman‘s were for a couple of miles long and then they arranged to have it the next day at a lower time once they explained it at 11 and we were about half hour away from getting there 1030 and somebody had sold our position away so we ended up spending 170 for nothing

Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair!

Randy_S, May 2026
Loved our hippie bus tour! Tara was so funny and so knowledgeable ! We feel like we got to see every bit of San Francisco !! Thank you

This tour was terrific. Took me all the SF neighborhoods and sites in a timely manner. I was really concerned about not having enough time to see everything but they knocked a lot of things off my list in an efficient and timely manner.
