Swimming with the Manatees with PetesPier
Swimming with the manatees was an awesome experience. The owner from PetesPier was great from the very first phone call. The Captain and his first mate were very knowledgeable about the manatees and the area. They taught us how to interact with the chubby mermaids. They are so gentle and even a little playful. We didn’t reach out to touch them but that doesn’t mean they won’t give you a playful nudge. They did everything to ensure we had a good experience. Putting on a wet suit for the first time was an experience in itself. It’s a memory I will never forget. I had more fun swimming and learning about these gentle sea cows than I did going to Disney. The pictures they took were amazing. Thank you to all the gang at PetesPier, including the very lovely lady at the gift shop. Go Local when booking your time with the manatees.

Great Day!
We had a great trip. The kayak experience was something that we don't normally do and did not know what to expect. Everything was explained to us before we left the dock, and I felt safe and was excited to begin. We saw a total of 15 manatee and a couple of tiny babies. Scott was our guide and educated us about the manatees and wild birds that we seen along the way to three Sista Springs. It was an extraordinary day for us. I highly recommend Lena and Scott for your clear kayak trip to see the manatees. They are very knowledgeable.

Kayak with RJ
First off let me say I am 62 with recent knee replacement and 5’8” 165 pounds so was worried about getting in and out of kayak from dock. RJ and I think Ryan were very helpful and kind and removed that stress factor. The paddle r/t was not challenging or strenuous and very serene and gorgeous. We met tater tot baby manatee and mom and we’re so amazing. Got to love manatees. 3 sister springs was so beautiful just loved this trip.

Great tour with Justin – An unforgettable family experience! We had an absolutely fantastic kayak tour with Get Up And Go Kayaking in Crystal River as a family yesterday! Our tour guide Justin was simply great – very attentive, friendly, and absolutely competent. Thanks to him, we were able to observe beautiful manatees from up close. An absolute highlight was the opportunity to go swimming in the crystal-clear springs. The water was dreamlike and the entire atmosphere was unique. This tour is an absolute recommendation for families. A huge thank you to Justin for this unforgettable day – we would book the tour again anytime!
