We met Gisela at our meeting point as instructed. We couldn't have been more blessed with our guide. Never met a guide so gracious, articulate, knowledgeable, spontaneous, charismatic and full of life and love for what she does. She had us tried so many things and for each bite she provided a complete encyclopedia of information. She adjusted the walk as experiences opened up to new adventures. What a natural! We booked this tour independently from our MSC cruise as we were in port from 9am to 6pm and this cooking experience was 3 hours. We walked from the port (15 minutes), the cooking school was easy to find and there’s an outside market that is a foodie paradise nearby if you arrive a little early. Our chef was Salvo and this experience was not only educational, and delicious but so much fun! The pizza making was all hands on and the final ingredient was the best pizza we had in Italy and we each made it ourselves! The Gelato well that was simply paradise! Salvo was a fantastic chef who interacted with each person making sure everyone stayed confident and his sense of humor is infectious and it’s clear he lives what he does! How much did we enjoy this experience? Well Amazon has been delivering tools and proper flour for us for days to recreate the recipes we were provided such that we can recreate this at home tomorrow when we return. Salvo thank you for a truly unique and fantastic experience!

Massimo is a highly knowledgeable and wonderful chef. He walked our group to markets and educated us on all types of produce. His class was in beautiful Taromina overlooking the ocean. From our meeting point, we walked to a little market and sampled some of the fresh veggies we would be cooking with, then were driven in a van down to the Chef's place on the beach. This is a family run business and they were all so warm and welcoming! The cooking class was run seamlessly with excellent breaks and explanations throughout. We absolutely loved making the various pasta shapes! Also, the swordfish we made was one of the best things we had while in Sicily. Great group and just an exceptional experience!

Perfect introduction to Sicily!

Fabrizio was fantastic! He clearly loves his home town of Palermo and is very knowledgeable about history and traditions. Honestly we weren’t sure what to think of Palermo after arriving at night and not seeing much of the city before the tiur but after tasting wonderful food and hearing about its history we now have a place in our hearts for the people, sites and food of the city. Would highly recommend the tour and Fabrizio.

Do not hesitate, so worth it!

This was by far a highlight of my Mediterranean vacation. Giovanni and his wife were so welcoming and shared lovely memories, recipes, food and wine. I truly felt welcomed and I cherish the memories I created with them! The food was incredible! I have had many tours cancel on me as a solo traveler, but they did not. It was a beautiful way to gain insight into Palermo.
