I really enjoyed the Etna...

I really enjoyed the Etna tour today. It was a very pleasant and easy-going experience from start to finish. Pickup and drop-off were smooth and well organized. Our guide, Alessandro, was friendly, knowledgeable and handled the very mixed group (different ages, nationalities and fitness levels) really well. We officially started with a tasting before walking around the Etna craters and later explored a lava cave while learning about volcanic rock flows. But honestly, the tour already started in the car ride up to Etna. Alessandro shared lots of interesting information about the villages, the landscape, local food, and the volcano itself throughout the drive. Overall, a very enjoyable and informative tour that I would definitely recommend.

Alex had a great deal of...

Alex had a great deal of knowledge on volcanoes and Sicily he shared. It was have been great to dive more into the wider history of the islands and diversify the information. Gambino winery was excellent and they were generous with food and wine, but ren minutes to have an espresso outside after a meal and enjoy the grounds would have been appreciated. Lastly, please include the inclusions on the trip in the booking like F&B as we all packed snacks and share an itinerary with timings once we are all on board

Great food tour!! The food was great and it was nice that the walking wasn't too bad. Our tour guide Giulia was very knowledgeable and we ate to our hearts content! We came by cruise on the Viva and the tour ended in a very timely fashion and we were able to take a shuttle back to the ship. Definitely worth trying for the money!

Fabulous Day

Was a nice small group tour with Alessandro as our guide. From the time we left Catania, Alessandro started the tour by sharing his passion about Mt Etna’s volcanic history, information about volcanic eruptions,… once we arrived at Mt Etna we stopped and went into a small natural volcanic cave. Alessandro gave us more insight into the making of the volcanic cave and different points of interest with the formation of the cave. Before arriving in Taormina, Alessandro gave suggestions as to where to try Granite. It was yummy! We also did a tasting of local wine and liquors with small sampling of local condiments. Was a fabulous day!

A hike up Mt Etna a volcano in Catania Italy to remember!!

Hubby and I did the My Etna and wine tasting tour, and added going up further up the volcano. What an experience! I work in Disney World and I know a great guide and without a doubt Alessandro was off the charts. He was so knowledgeable about everything, hospitable beyond belief and navigated our group of 8 with finesse.I quickly made friendships that I hope will last a lifetime; I mean we were on a volcano together can’t say that about just anyone.The walk up was a bit of a struggle but this is when I really saw the unity, we helped each other through it, I was asked by a few are you ok? I saw women with their arms around others to help them stay the course and our guide Alessandro kept an eye on us all while offering support and encouragement, to help us meet our goals. Afterwards we had our wine tasting paired with a few appetizers and we as a group collectively got to know each other on a more intimate level, relaxed and with that monumental task behind us, we laughed and shared our thoughts. What a wonderful experience, I can’t say enough. I hope to come back again and maybe meet up with my new found friends❣️ Many thanks to my newest friend Alessandro.

A perfect day on Mamma Etna

What a great day we had; Mt Etna and Alcantara gorge were amazing!! Alfio our driver, Sal and Julia our guides, and their whole team, were great. The tour was not exactly...

The tour was not exactly what we were expecting but turned out to be just what we needed. Our driver, Michael, was great. Personable, funny and knew his stuff. We first went to catania which was breathtaking. We had time to walk around and explore and it was like stepping back in time on a Sicilian fairy tale. We next went to Taormina and had a couple of hours to shop, have lunch and explore. There was no real history to take in and hear about, but we immersed in it.

Luca was great!! He was very knowledgeable about Mt Etna and made sure to answer any and all questions. We went when it was still snowy and it was still very fun. They provided boots for those of us that forgot to pack them, which was appreciated. The winery was fantastic and offered so much food. The pairings were excellent.

Great Day in October

Wow what an amazing day. Small groups are the best and our driver Martino made it even better. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. His knowledge of the region was very informative. If you like to get a taste of different towns in a day this excursion is for you. The architecture of the region is beautiful. We visited a number of churches in the towns that gives you a nice snapshot of the area history. The time is not rushed and we feel we had time to see what we wanted. Views are amazing and this time of year the crowds are very manageable. Again a shout out to Martino who made it an amazing day. We highly recommend this tour.
