Overview
Sicily is famous for its food scene, but it can be hard to find authentic Sicilian food outside the island—that is, unless you know how to make it yourself. On this half-day cooking workshop in Giardini Naxos, learn how to prepare three traditional Silicon dishes from scratch that you can recreate once your vacation ends. After your lesson, sit down to indulge in a freshly prepared lunch.

Caponata Siciliana
Typical product of Sicilian cuisine with eggplants seasoned with tomato sauce, celery, onion, olives and capers, in sweet and sour sauce;

Fresh pasta made with your hands
Preparation of six different types of fresh pasta handmade by customers, under the supervision of the Chef, and seasoned with fresh tomato sauce;
Main
Fish alla "ghiotta", or fish rolls alla Messinese
Second course of fresh fish, cooked in the sauce of tomatoes, capers and olives, to absorb all the scents and flavors;
Dessert
Small Sicilian Cannoli and Limoncello

This is a hands on experience that is really enjoyable. It is a family owned business and they treat you like Family! They educated you on the Techniques in making the sauces and pasta and gave us the recipes too!! We had time to relax and enjoy some wine and cheese and bread in between the lessons. This is a must when visiting Taormina or Catania! Loved it!

This was such a great cooking class. Family run and authentic Sicily pasta making and stuffed fish! It was good value for money. Chef Mimo was great, informative and added some fun to it! Would highly reccomend. Plenty of wine to enjoy too.

The staff here is absolutely amazing! We learned so much in such a short time. Even though I arrived late (parking can be a little tricky), they were so patient and kind with me. They made sure I still got to learn the things I was most interested in, even the parts I had missed. The chef, “Momma,” made me feel like I was cooking with my own family—so warm, welcoming, and fun. Truly an unforgettable experience, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Go in hungry. It starts with a great intro and educational experience. You are involved from making the pasta to putting the ingredients in the sauce to cutting the veggies. They teach you how to roll the pasta and all the various ingredient. You only start to eat round 12:30/1 but it is broken up into multiple courses with cooking/preparing and then back to eating.

Absolutely amazing. 10/10 recommend. The food was so good and we made so many different dishes. They provided water, wine, and snacks and all the chefs were fun and helpful! Especially Mamma!! Beautiful view. If you have the chance to do this class while you’re here I would book it.

This is a really fun experience and can be enjoyed by everyone, whatever their level (or lack!) of expertise. The course is a perfect blend of demonstration and opportunity to practise, with great tips and recipes to take away. Both Chef Mimmo and Chef Mamma are engaging presenters and offer good humoured help and support.
Participants are rewarded with a delicious lunch and plenty of good wine and Limoncello at the end of the class, which we really appreciated. We also enjoyed being part of a group and both chefs encouraged participants to support and encourage one another. By the end of the day, we were all sad to say goodbye to one another but agreed we had enjoyed the best day.
Whatever your previous cookery experience, you will love this well organised and fun filled day - and will return home with a certificate of appreciation to frame! Thank you, Chefs!

Family of 4 (kids 7 and 10). Very fun, hands-on, and engaging for all! Food was amazing (and they share the recipes)! Not rushed but also remained mindful of timing as many of us were from a cruise ship. They even helped arrange us return transportation when the train lines went down unexpectedly due to weather. 5 stars for sure for Chef Mimmo and his entire team!

So much fun, the food we made was absolutely amazing. The hosts are so kind, considerate and helpful. We got to try a beautiful white wine alongside lunch and homemade bread, tomatoes, mozzarella & rocket. The view from the restaurant of the water is incredible, could not fault this class and highly recommend!!!!

Mimmo and mamma Francesca make a great team together. Also the rest of the staff is helpful and gives you a hang when needed.
We made lovely pasta and stuffed fish. If you have allergies, just let them know.

I can fully recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn how to make authentic Sicilian dishes at home. Chef Mimmo is a fantastic teacher, the recipes are easy to learn and you get instant gratification by being able to enjoy your pasta, caponata and involtini that you have made in the course of your cooking class.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and am looking forward to trying the recipes at home.

This was by far one of my very favorite excursions I have ever done! We learned how to make 6 pasta shapes, 2 sauces, a vegetable ratatouille, and a swordfish dish. Wow-wow-wow! It was fun, engaging, entertaining, and incredibly well-executed! We did every part. Chef Mimmo taught us and allowed us to do the work. Top it off w/ a tour of nearby Taormino and the day, despite pouring rain, was one of my all-time favorites!
