This experience was great. It was our first time as a family going and it was a wonderful experience at the zoo.

Was the Safari Park really a safari?
Overall, it was a nice experience. Be warned that the bus through the savanna only lasts 25 minutes and does not give you any opportunity to really see the animals. The tour guide also skipped over some of the animals completely and the wait to get on the bus was about 45 minutes long. The new elephant valley exhibit, on the other hand, is fantastic! Note that this was my 4th visit to the park over the past 20 years.

Worth paying for the extra tours. Wish we had known that the Platypus was still living on Australian time. Don't think visitors will ever see them.

San Diego Exotic Animal Park.
Wonderful park. A lot of walking because the habitats are large and things are spaced out. Bring water too. But a beautiful and well planned layout.
