What are people saying about Roatan

Roatan
Our driver met us at the appointed spot and was informative and attentive. He directed us where to go at each stop, assisted when needed, and provided water. He was waiting for our return from each excursion and was a delight! The monkeys were so fun, as were the sloths, though we couldn't hold them. The snorkeling portion was nice but the location could have been a little better since we hardly saw any fish but maybe it was 'just the day'. The captain/crew were great. Brady's Key was awesome with no crowds and off 'the beaten path'. It was relaxing, water was warm/clear, and the nachos were great.

Fausto is the best 👌
Our tour guide, Fausto, was absolutely fantastic! 🌟 He made our trip so memorable with his incredible knowledge and passion for the island. We learned so much about the history and culture, and he always knew the best spots to find authentic food. Fausto's energy was infectious, and he kept us entertained the entire time. I felt like I was exploring with a friend, not just on a tour. Highly recommend Fausto for an unforgettable experience! #TourGuide #Travel #AmazingExperienceRoatan #MustDo 2k Adventures

Great Tour
Had a great tour of Roatan. Our tour guide was very informative about the sites. Really enjoyed the animal sanctuary and had a great time at West Bay beach. Loved having a private tour just for our family and it was a special treat having his two daughters with us. I would strongly recommend Roatan Tour Co.

Fun & For All Ages
This was the perfect tour for all ages. 2 grandparents, 2 adult children, and 2 kids 6 & 8. Something for everyone! We were able to personalize for our own day. Alfredo was the PERFECT tour guide. Kind, warm, and knowledgeable sharing information about the local culture. This ended up being the best tour of our trip.

Highly recommend - just know who you’re booking with! (ROA!)
Getting off the boat/out of the port was the most stressful part of the day! Once we found the crew from ROA there was no stress. Our driver was a font of knowledge and so friendly. Our weather wasn’t great for the snorkel so Hector told us we were going to have to do a shallow snorkel, when I mentioned that we were strong swimmers and would prefer deep if possible, he agreed to try as long as it was safe. We ended up getting a private snorkel at their 2nd favorite spot (not shallow) which was awesome.
The beach time was at big key and it was fine, although very touristy. We preferred the rest of the trip, but did chill in the hammocks for awhile.
The sloth and monkey farm was so fun. We went early - so the animals were very frisky.
My teens wanted to check out a Honduran grocery store, so Ann brought us to where she usually shopped. My youngest wanted to collect currency where we travelled, and she gave him a few bills!
All in all I couldn’t recommend this tour/experience enough. Just make sure you save/pull up your actual receipt so you know where you’re going getting off the ship. Everyone is very helpful but it was chaos. Know that you’re booking with ROA so people can point you in the right direction.

Exceptional!
Exceptional excursion! We had a blast. The crew who took care of us were all great. I highly recommend without any hesitation. We just completed a 7 day Norwegian Cruise and booked 2 cruise sponsored excursions and 2 independent. This was the best excursion of our trip.

Incredible day around Roatan!
This was our first time booking outside of the cruise excursions and we were so impressed! Our driver for the day was JJ we couldn't have asked for a better fit for our sassy group! JJ took us to a newer animal sanctuary, and this was one of our favorite spots. Fed the monkeys, saw their rescued animals, almost store a baby deer and the SLOTHS!!! The baby sloth was active and so freaking precious! We went to a couple look out spots, got some beautiful views of the island. JJ recommended a spot for lunch that was over the incredibly blue water. Food was goooooood. Incredible views, with the gentle breeze from the ocean. We also went to the coffee and chocolate shop, and the chocolate there was out of this world!!! Seriously, can not wait to go back. We made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. If I could request JJ again when we come back I'll try to make it happen! He was so fun.

Great family tour
At first I was hesitant booking a third party tour . But I am so glad I did . The value for the price couldn’t be beat . Being just our family and having David as our guide was great . . David , was excellent . He stayed with us through this whole experience and was very friendly and informative. Would recommend this tour 100% .

Bernie is the best!
Bernie was our tour guide, very friendly, personable, explained everything, learned so many things about the people and culture of Roatan! The Zip Line was breathtaking and so fun! We were able to get up close to the animals and even held a parrot! We enjoyed the chocolate tasting, and the rum tasting was so good!! Our whole experience was really twice as good because of Bernie our tour guide! We were friends by the end! Definitely would do again! Thank you so much Bernie!

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! Thank you Jeff!!
This excursion was great! Not only do you do everything that is listed, our driver Jeff, which by the way is the greatest tour guide ever, we stopped at a local place for lunch and then to a souvenir shop! We packed so much into one day and we got back to the ship in plenty of time. Do yourself a favor and ask for Jeff when you book this. He was great! The cool thing about this excursion is that you get to see so much of the way the town is. Local culture, local food, local attitudes! Every stop on here I highly recommend! Don’t hesitate, book this now! You will not regret it!!! Thanks so much to “Let’s See Roatan”! And DJ Jeff!

Parrots, and monkeys, and sloths. Oh, my!
You have to walk a little ways, but the tour guide drove us to the animal shelter. You could go in the cages with the parrots and spider monkeys. The shelter employee tells you what to expect prior to going in cages with you. The parrots will land on your arm or head! The monkeys will chase each other and bounce off your head! You cannot touch the sloths due to a change in the law, but you can see them up close and take pictures! So cute. We did not want to go to the beach since it was rainy, but our tour guide Felipe took us to a local flea market to souvenir shop. He then delivered us right back to where we needed to meet our ship.

Monkeys and parrots and sloths—oh my! If a wildlife-viewing adventure appears on your wish list, you can’t go wrong with Roatan excursions that get you up close and personal with the animals that call this island off the coast of Honduras home. Active adventures abound at this popular cruise port, from ATV rides to jungle ziplines to snorkel cruises on the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea. In fact, Roatan sits near the Mesoamerican Reef, the second-largest barrier reef system in the world, so it’s teeming with colorful marine life, including starfish and turtles.
