Amazing experience
Where do I start. Omar our guide was FANTASTIC!!!! He was very personable had great knowledge of the island, he also answered every question I asked about his culture. The monkeys were probably the best of our tour. They climb all over you as the instructor is putting peanuts on you head.
Highly recommend this tour of the island you will not be disappointed.
ALSO DONT FORGET TO ASK FOR OMAR

Carlos was polite and accommodating. We went to all of the advertised sites and he had no problem making a few extra requested stops along the way if we want to check something out. He also suggested a new site for a picture with a view ( that didn't cost extra). He didn't try to up-sell us, and was always giving facts about whatever part of the island we were currently at.

Great option for self-paced tour
We book this tour for our day in Roatan while on Carnival ship stop; Our tour guide was Jordan (JJ), We had nothing planned and just asked him to take us to his favorite most see and Im glad we let him take the wheel, our day was amazing, he was funny and so knowledgeable of the island and it's history; prices were absolutely reasonable and very affordable, easy instructions to find them right atthe exit of the port area. We definitely recommended them and would use them again when we return to Roatan.

Wonderful!
We had a wonderful time on this tour and would recommend it to anyone! Allan was so kind and helpful and really went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our time on Roatan. The sloth and monkey preserve was amazing—one of the highlights of our trip—the beach was beautiful, and the snorkeling was great. Having a private tour guide made traveling with young kids easier than going on a large tour because we could go at our own pace!

Bernie is the best!
Bernie was our tour guide, very friendly, personable, explained everything, learned so many things about the people and culture of Roatan! The Zip Line was breathtaking and so fun! We were able to get up close to the animals and even held a parrot! We enjoyed the chocolate tasting, and the rum tasting was so good!! Our whole experience was really twice as good because of Bernie our tour guide! We were friends by the end! Definitely would do again! Thank you so much Bernie!

A Must-Do in Roatan – Isaiah Made It Exceptional
We had an absolutely incredible experience on the Roatan Wildlife Monkey, Sloth, Chocolate & Rum Tasting City Tour booked through Viator on March 25, 2026!
From start to finish, everything was seamless and well-organized. Our guide, Isaiah, truly made the day unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, personable, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt comfortable, engaged, and taken care of. His passion for Roatan and its culture really shined through, and he shared so many interesting insights along the way.
The tour itself was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation—getting up close with the monkeys and sloths was such a unique and heartwarming experience, and the chocolate and rum tastings were both fun and delicious! Every stop felt thoughtfully planned and never rushed.
If you're considering a tour in Roatan, I cannot recommend this one enough—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Isaiah as your guide. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip!
Thank you, Viator, for such a memorable experience!

Great cruise ship excursion with family of four!
My family of four, two adults and two kids ages seven and five had a great time on this excursion! Our host/personal driver, Trevor, was amazing! The company had him meet us exactly where the instructions told us he would in the email. (Admittedly getting through the gauntlet of sales people right at the port was a bit crazy, so just remember the tour company’s name you are looking for & print out/screen shot your info ahead of time for easy reference— they tell you to bypass all the sales people and exit across the street.) Once we met up with the company, the linked us up with our guide, Trevor. He then took us in a private car directly to AJ‘s animal sanctuary, where we were able to beat the crowds, and see the sloths and monkeys at our own pace without feeling, rushed at all. After our time with the animals, Trevor took us again by car to a nearby dock where we were able to change at the facilities and board a boat that was ready to take a small group out on the snorkeling part of our excursion. They provided all the snorkeling gear & fins. We had about an hour to snorkel, which was plenty of time since the water was chilly - and the sky was overcast. The boat then dropped us off across the bay at Brady’s Cay. There was a restaurant to order drinks & food (not included) and beach chairs/umbrellas (although the weather did not cooperate with us here, so we did not end up trying to reserve one.) The beach was nice, but busy.
Trevor let us know a meeting point for us- so when we were ready to head back across the bay, he was waiting for us to hop back on the included ferry boat to guide us back to his car.
We would have had a bit of time to take a few photos as well at a few stops, but our kiddos fell asleep on the ride back, and there was unusual traffic due to the rain, so to make sure we arrived back to our ship with plenty of time, we opted to head straight back to the port.
Trevor was an amazing guide and we would absolutely book this tour again or recommend it to travelers visiting Roáton on a cruise. For reference, we were on Royal Carrbean’s Star of the seas, 3/15-22/2026 and visited 3/19.

3 Snorkel Stops + Beach
Overall, a very good experience - despite the weather (it was rainy half the day), the guides did a great job of transporting us from the port, to the marina, and then to 3 snorkel stops plus a beach stop. All the stops were within 5 - 10 minutes of each other around French Cay. The guides in the water were excellent at explaining what we would see, identifying all the various sea life. A big shout-out to Philippe, who was not only a phenomenal guide but also gave an impromptu transport back to the port. Would highly recommend.

Great Roatan tour!
Our tour to the sloth and monkey sanctuary and the beach was fantastic. Our driver (MJ Tours- Armando ) was very accommodating to our delayed ship tendering. It rained while at the beach and the resort was also very accommodating to our crew. I highly recommend this tour.

My Friend and I had a great time at the Monkey and Sloth Sanctuary and Beach Break. When visiting the Sloths, the law is you can no longer hold or touch them. We were lucky that one was hanging out at our level for the perfect picture moment.
There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to use free of charge. The water was very calm and clean. However, it is Very Rocky In The Water So You Should Bring Water Shoes to make it more enjoyable.
The company that Viator used is very well organized and our driver Jared was very accommodating in letting us do a little shopping after our excursion before heading back to the ship.

Had a wonderful time. Oto was a great guide and whisked us safely to each stop. The nature center (monkeys, birds, sloth) was so mum and interactive. Got to hold the birds and the monkeys were climbing all over us. Picked up some great local coffee, chocolate ice cream treats, rum, and rum cake to enjoy later. The beach resort was relaxing and the food was great. Highly recommend this excursion - great value, too!

Great Excursion
This is an excursion you don't want to miss. From Mahogany Bay Cruise Port, you walk a steep hill ( taxi available). We were brought to a van, there was only one other couple, then takem to the monkey/sloth sanctuary. It was great, we had monkeys on our heads, laps, they were so friendly. You're right next to quite a few sloths, great photo opportunities. Then it is off to snorkel. Again, only 4 people for excursion. Small boat, crewmen provided assistance for my wife to board the boat. Not only that, they helpef her into and out off the water. The guide that lead the snorkrling tour had her hold onto a ring and towed her through the entire time. The water was crystal clear, so many different types amd colors of fish, the reef was beautiful. We were in the water for at least 45 minutes, probably an hour. A great snorkel tour. This was the highlight of our cruise. Absolutely the best. You will have a blast, do this one!

Monkeys and parrots and sloths—oh my! If a wildlife-viewing adventure appears on your wish list, you can’t go wrong with Roatan excursions that get you up close and personal with the animals that call this island off the coast of Honduras home. Active adventures abound at this popular cruise port, from ATV rides to jungle ziplines to snorkel cruises on the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea. In fact, Roatan sits near the Mesoamerican Reef, the second-largest barrier reef system in the world, so it’s teeming with colorful marine life, including starfish and turtles.
