Loved it

A very nice young man came to walk us about 5 minutes to the location. He then showed us where the bathrooms were at and he then took us to free lockers. Then he took us to a truck that takes you up the mountain which is an adventure within its self. Then there are 4 guides that will talk to you about safety before the fun begins. All of them were amazing. From there you go to the zoo where again you will meet more amazing people , monkeys, sloth and birds. We truly enjoyed it all.

Perfect First-Time Roatan Excursion for Cruisers!

Highly recommend booking this tour if you want to see the highlights of the island! It's the perfect excursion if you're on a cruise and it's your first time in Roatan. Alanis, our tour guide, was so welcoming and friendly, and our driver did a great job getting the group around the island safely. The meeting instructions were easy to follow. You'll meet your guide just outside the port gate. You may have to make your way past a few excursion promoters, but they're happy to point you to the right tour. Our first stop was Manawakie Park, where we saw a sloth, macaws, and white-faced monkeys, and even got to interact with them. Afterwards, we stopped at Mayak Chocolate to try some samples. It can get crowded and a bit touristy, but the chocolate makes a great souvenir to bring back for friends. Next was the rum factory, where we sampled their rums and rum cakes. It has a beautiful overlook of the sea, so definitely take a moment to enjoy the view! Then we got to choose between a private beach and a public beach, both in the same area. The private beach requires a day pass fee, so our group opted for the public beach, which was still great. You can rent chairs or grab a bite at the restaurant there. After the beach, we stopped at the colorful Roatan sign, where we took group photos. It was a fun way to wrap up the day and get a great keepsake from the trip! We made it back to the port with plenty of time to spare before the ship's departure, which is exactly what you want on a cruise excursion. Overall, this tour was a fantastic mix of wildlife, local treats, great views, beach time, and photo ops, all without the stress of planning it yourself. If you only have one day in Roatan, this is a great way to spend it. Thanks again to Alanis and our driver for a memorable day!

Carlos our driver with MJ Tours was amazing! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was a very safe driver and stopped at tourist locations where we could take a family photo. The animal sanctuary is a perfect place to stop with the family and West Bay Beach was extremely nice and not crowded. MJ Tours also gave us each an ice cold water to stay cool.

A great experience!

Having a personal driver was a great experience. Kisha was friendly and personable. She was informative about Roatan on our drive to the beach. At the beach she made sure we were comfortably situated and was nearby for any questions or needs that we had. After we had enough time at the beach resort we wanted lunch and she took us to a great restaurant. We made stops for shopping and a chocolate factory. We were back to the ship in the time we requested. All in all a really nice experience.

Our tour guide was amazing! She was so knowledgeable about the area and answered all of our questions! She got us everywhere safely and managed our time well and made sure we were back to port in plenty of time. The excursions themselves were wonderful! We had a lot of time with all of the animals and learned so much about the native species. The private island was so beautiful! The beach was clean with crystal blue water, lots of marine life to see while snorkeling, and the drinks were 💯! We can’t wait to come back!

A must do experience to see all of the amazing reefs!

This experience was amazing! It felt like a private tour of the Reefs. It was our families first time snorkeling in the ocean and while it was quite intense, it was also absolutely beautiful and our guide was so great! He pointed out different things along our time and helped us along the way! The quality of the gear was also great. They offer life vests or pool noodles to help you and i recommend the life vest for the first stop, as it's quite deep and intimidating if you haven't snorkeled in areas like this before! My favorite was the last stop, We saw schools of fish, a king crab, sea urchins, a ship wreck and so much more! We ended at Brady's Cay, which while beautiful, wasn't our favorite place but was a nice reprieve for the end of the trip. Roatan is such a beautiful place with such kind people and is definitely on our list to return to!

Excellent time for all ages

I traveled with my dad, my fiancée, our four kids ages 2, 5, 13, 15 and my adult niece and her boyfriend. Even with all the different age ranges, we all agreed that this was the most incredible experience. We had Isaiah, he was absolutely amazing and fun! He gave us to much information about the island, he was so patient and kind with my kids, and we felt safe with him the entire time. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. The monkeys were fun, we had Pancho and he was jumping around on each of us. We couldn’t touch the sloths but were able to get really close to them. One was pregnant! We stopped at Mayak Chocolate, which was delicious! We then stopped at the rum store and got to sample some flavors. There was a bar in the back, the drinks were really good. This company went above and beyond for us. This was our third cruise but first time in Honduras, it ended up being our absolute favorite! We can’t wait to return.

Absolute blast!!!

We had so much fun on this excursion and would very much recommend it. My best friend and I are in our 50s and had our teenage boys with us and we ALL had a blast!!!! We were definitely tired at the end of the day but it was so worth it. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end.

Best Tour Ever!

This tour was the absolute highlight of our trip! From the moment we met Cynthia until she dropped us off, we had an amazing time. She was incredibly friendly, organized, and made sure we got the most out of our day. When you get to where all the tour guides are, be sure to say that you are with Roatan Tucan Adventures. Our first stop was the sloth sanctuary, where we got up close with macaws, sloths, and capuchin monkeys. The guides were knowledgeable, and the experiences were unforgettable. We especially loved being with the sloths and learning about them and having the monkeys climb on us. Don’t worry, having the monkeys climb on you is voluntary. Next, we visited a beach resort where chairs were set up for us upon arrival. Be sure to bring towels as the resort does not provide them. The water was beautiful, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch from the onsite restaurant. We then stopped at a rum and rum cake shop, where we sampled a variety of products and took a beautiful family photo overlooking the world's second-largest coral reef. Our final stop was a local chocolate factory, where we learned about the chocolate-making process and enjoyed some tasty samples. This was hands down the best excursion we've ever been on. Cynthia made the day truly special, and we highly recommend this tour. If you have the chance, ask for Cynthia. She is the absolute best! We already miss her and can’t wait to go back!

Dauphas was great!

Dauphas was the best. He we waiting for us when we got off the ship at Isla Tropical. He took us to see sloths and capuchins at AJ's, he took us to go on a tour of the mangrove tunnels, and took us to a local spot for lunch. Dauphus was explaining everything about the island to us between locations and even stopped to get us some cassava bread.
