The different names of this company is very confusing! After walking a great distance from the berth Norwegian escape was in, we had to contend with all the other private companies and their passengers with only a sidewalk between us and all the traffic. Many of the companies had similar names

My husband and i traveled with another couple. This excursion is completely customizable. We felt safe the entire time. Garfield was our guide and he was the best. We wanted to see more of the island than what we had seen on cruise company excursions. Highly recommend and will repeat when we come back

What a great time! Orie was amazing and very knowledgeable about the island. The personalization of the tour was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. We were able to dictate what we did and for how long. There was no concern about being able to get a taxi or share a bus with a large group. I would highly recommend this tour!

Our Best of Roatan was……..the Best!
Dauphas Stanley, our guide and host, was a wealth of knowledge! Nice, courteous and kind, he took is throughout the island, east, west, north and south!
Really enjoyed the wildlife encounters and Chocolate factory. Visited some beautiful 5 Starr resorts also.
Highly recommend and will certainly request our new friend Dauphas when we return!!!

This tour was an excellent way to see a large part of the island and get to experience some of the key highlights. We had a great driver/guide and he took us to some really nice attractions. We enjoyed the visit to AJs sloth and monkey zoo, the boat ride through the mangroves, the stop at the Mayak chocolate factory as well as the Roaton Rum Company.

Our personalized tour of Roatan was so much more than we expected! We opted to bypass all of the "traditional" tourist spots. We simply wanted to get a feel of the true Roatan island culture and our tour guide, Michael, did NOT disappoint! We ventured our way throughout the island, from the ritzy resorts to the small streets and villages where the everyday Hondurans lived. It was magnificent! Michael did an absolutely exceptional job of sharing how every day Hondurans lived. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Roatan is a very safe and community minded island. Michael made sure to take us to the top photo op spots on the island and gave us excellent suggestions regarding best places to get seafood! Absorbing the Honduran culture with Michael was, by far, a much more memorable experience than we could have if we had opted for the traditional zip lining, snorkeling, etc. This is the PERFECT excursion for anyone who wants to tailor their time their way!

Our tour guide was Mr. Dolphus Stanley. He was patient and professional. He took us to a great souvenir shop and didn’t rush us, plus we had the opportunity to hear the history of Roatan, see many popular spots and many hidden treasures. Thank you Mr. Stanley.

My wife and I had a wonderful time. Our driver, his name wasJordan,was terrific. He grew up on the island and was very down to earth, courteous and knowledgeable. He took us to the iguana park, the butterfly garden and a botanical garden. This tour company is terrific. We got a very personal tour of the island. It was worth every penny. Thanks Jordan.

We packed in so much! We booked this private tour instead of going through the cruise ship and it was an amazing experience. We did a mangrove tour and stopped to swim with tarpon and turtles. We also were able to see the sloths and monkeys, do a chocolate tour and made a beach stop. Orie was our tour guide and he was the best! He knows everyone in the island to the point where you feel like a VIP. If you want to really experience Roatan and learn about the culture and hit all the best stuff on your own time, book this tour!

We had an amazing day in Roatan with our Viator excursion—hands down our favorite stop on our Western Caribbean cruise!
Finding our guide through the busy port was a bit overwhelming at first, but once we met Jordan, everything was perfect. He was friendly, funny, professional, and made us feel completely safe and taken care of all day.
He took us to a scenic viewpoint for photos, then on a customized adventure we had requested—a boat ride through the mangroves and a visit to a monkey and sloth park. The drive was about 45 minutes, but absolutely worth it. The mangrove tour was peaceful and unique, and our boat guide, Edward, was fantastic.
We also stopped for a delicious lunch at a charming waterfront restaurant. The highlight was AJ’s Sloth and Monkey Park—despite being closed, they opened just for us, giving us a private, unforgettable experience with sloths, monkeys, parrots, and more!
This was truly a memorable day. Highly recommend this excursion—and especially Jordan as your guide!

The four of us enjoyed our driver, Dolphus, for about five hours. He was waiting for us outside the gates earlier than expected, so we got to enjoy more time seeing the island. Dolphus was very friendly and informative as we passed various sites. We stopped to see the monkeys and sloths, although the admission price was not worth it. We also visited the chocolate factory and bought some yummy 70% sugar free bars, one with almonds. Another stop was at the rum store, where we sampled a few varieties. Bottles of rum and rum cakes were overpriced, but still a nice stop to see the view and enjoy a cold drink. We also liked another hilltop view where some local merchants eagerly peddled their wares. Overall, the day was pleasant, especially with a private driver and without the hassle of traveling with a group. The weather was perfect, too!

This DIY customizable tour is great for those who want to have full discretion on how they want to spend their time in Roatan. Our guide gave us information as we drove around and provided a nice experience. We mentioned what we wanted to do and our guide took us to all the spots as requested. The car provided had working AC.

This was our first time booking outside of the cruise excursions and we were so impressed! Our driver for the day was JJ we couldn't have asked for a better fit for our sassy group! JJ took us to a newer animal sanctuary, and this was one of our favorite spots. Fed the monkeys, saw their rescued animals, almost store a baby deer and the SLOTHS!!! The baby sloth was active and so freaking precious! We went to a couple look out spots, got some beautiful views of the island. JJ recommended a spot for lunch that was over the incredibly blue water. Food was goooooood. Incredible views, with the gentle breeze from the ocean. We also went to the coffee and chocolate shop, and the chocolate there was out of this world!!! Seriously, can not wait to go back. We made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. If I could request JJ again when we come back I'll try to make it happen! He was so fun.

We book this tour for our day in Roatan while on Carnival ship stop; Our tour guide was Jordan (JJ), We had nothing planned and just asked him to take us to his favorite most see and Im glad we let him take the wheel, our day was amazing, he was funny and so knowledgeable of the island and it's history; prices were absolutely reasonable and very affordable, easy instructions to find them right atthe exit of the port area. We definitely recommended them and would use them again when we return to Roatan.

A fantastic private tour at a very reasonable price, our guide Joel was fantastic. Very detailed instructions of how to find the guide once we arrived at the cruise terminal and very responsive company when we sent messages before our tour.
Joel was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the island and its history and funny too cracking jokes making us all laugh. We told him the type of things we would like to see and he made recommendations of the best places and how to maximise our time on the island. He was a safe driver and told us stories while we drove to each attraction. He knew which places would be busy so took us to the quieter places to avoid the big crowds and got us there before the big coach loads arrived.
I would highly recommend this private tour and ask for Joel you will not be disappointed.

Our experience with Roatan Adventure Tours was outstanding from start to finish.
Our driver and guide, Garfield, was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly knew the area inside and out. He gave great recommendations on what to do and helped us make the most of our time on the island.
Garfield was patient, never rushed us, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire day. He went above and beyond by staying with us at our destinations, helping take photos so we could actually enjoy the experience, and even acting as a translator when needed, which made everything smooth and stress-free.
Most importantly, we felt completely safe and at ease the entire time. Garfield is trustworthy, friendly, and genuinely cares about giving you a great experience.
He truly made our trip to Roatán better. Highly recommend requesting him if you book with this company.

Our short visit to Roatan allowed us to view most of the island. We chose to site see vs excursions because every stop required an expense which quickly adds up. The island fosters off tourism thus everyone is connected and supporting one another to meet a quota became evident right away. Nevertheless I met wonderful people and loved the island. I was more interested in seeing the afrocentric village but it was too far & I wasn't willing to risk not arriving back in time. Thus anyone getting off a cruise ship, leave as early as possible to ensure you have plenty of time. Our guide was okay. Although he answered my questions but he was not forthcoming with details about the island. Overall my experience was okay. I couldn't give 5 stars because the vehicle we were in did not have air conditioning. Towards the end the heat had me a bit lethargic. I plan on returning but will try different group.

Mairy was great. Our personal driver and tour guide. The transfer from port to Mairy started with a confused Viator agent outside the port gates. He had a list of Travellers but we weren't on it. He took a Pic of the internet copy I had brought and phoned it's phone number. Voila. Our tour was legitimate and he guided us to Mairy. From there it as off to chocolat and rum factories and the $70 Monkey Jungle where my usually less-than adventurous wife had her picture taken with a Macau (parrot), and a monkey on her head. A good Pic of us both up close and personal with a sloth. Interesting day.

Hands down your best tour option in Roatan - we visited this port for the third time on a cruise… the first time, we did a snorkeling excursion through the cruise that was very mid, the second time we didn’t leave the port, so this time we really wanted to see the island and get a true overview of the island - this tour was EXACTLY what we wanted. Our guide and driver, Orie, is absolutely phenomenal - he’s fun, funny and knows every nook and cranny of the island. Orie drove us all around the island, took us to amazing overlooks, hooked us up with a sloth, macaw and monkey experience, then also made stops at the chocolate and rum factories. Although we skipped a beach break, that was an option Orie offered. End of the day, we do everything we wanted on the island for a fraction of what we’d pay the cruise line to do one or maybe two things. We are traveling with my elderly mother and Orie made sure she could see and do everything. We could not have been happier with our decision to take this tour and we could not recommend it more highly!!!

We can’t say enough good things about Orie and Roatan Adventures Tour. They provided great instructions on how to find them at the port, so easy! He was so knowledgeable about the island and made us feel secure the whole day. He stopped by a fruit stand and bought us fresh mangos, which are delicious! We then went snorkeling at West Bay Beach for a couple hours. He then arranged for us to visit an animal sanctuary for a private tour. We can’t thank Orie enough and will definitely be booking with Roatan Adventure Tours again with Orie!
