Do it! Do it! Do it! Pickup was easy the second you walk out of the port they held signs and communicated who our driver was. Shana was amazing and really gave us the roatan experience pointing out local spots and little things like how Pepsi pays to paint your corner store if you use their product. After pickup we headed to the animal sanctuary and saw sloths, monkeys and macaws that were so cute it was a blast even though the monkey was feeling up my girlfriend 😂. Shana waited for us and when we finished we headed to the west bay beach while she pointed out scenic points and local malls shops all the while answering our questions about the island. At the beach you can sit under the awnings at the beach resort with any purchase (beer 2.50 or soda 2.00 counts) which was like a restaurant with good food and drink. You can also buy a beach chair for 15 per person but in my opinion it's not worth it the vendors are only out on the beach so you avoid that when you sit under the shaded part. We tried some Honduran beers and banana soda with some apps everything was great and cheap! The beach itself was beautiful and had lots of stuff to do if you want to buy it. Jet skis, parasailing, snorkeling and banana boats. We ended up buying a parasailing trip for the first time and had a blast. Shana recommended a vendor that she trusts to have us back in time so another way not to worry about time. We would recommend this excursion to everyone that comes and would 100% do it again.

I can’t say enough great things about this tour. First, our tour guide Mishelle was awesome! One of those genuinely nice people. She explained all the details of our tour and answered any questions or concerns. Super informative about the island.
The monkey and sloth sanctuary was fun. After that we headed to the beach. Mishelle helped us get some beach chairs and we were able to enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. I could have stayed in that water all day long. My husband and son rode jet skis, they had a blast. Mishelle waited for us at the beach so once we were ready to leave she brought the car right away. 10/10 I would recommend this tour if your in Roatan.

Although it was a little confusing at first to find our agent or guide, since there are so many vendors trying to offer tours when you go down to the port, once we found him, we were assigned to Mario Santos. From the moment we got into his van, he greeted us with a refreshing bottle of water and provided excellent service. He was always very kind and an excellent host. His company was also very attentive to the schedule so that we wouldn't miss the boat.

Excursion was great. Ricky was our guide and took care of us all day, we first went and saw the sloths and monkeys. Then spent the rest of the day at the beach. If we needed anything, Ricky was there to get it for us, It was a perfect day!!

This was an amazing experience! The directions provided to get to the meeting point from the cruise ship were very detailed and easy to follow. We unexpectedly ended up having a private driver and tour for the day. Darnelle was AMAZING! Very personable and sweet. Gave us cool information about the island while driving to our destinations. The monkeys and sloths were AWESOME. Being able to be that up close to a sloth was such a neat experience. Afterwards we headed to West Bay Beach to relax for a little before heading back to the cruise ship. The water there is absolutely gorgeous! There is also a nice restaurant there where you can order drinks and some lunch. It was a nice little spot for a beach day. We loved our day in Honduras! Thank you so much again Darnelle!

We really enjoyed the Mayan Jungle. It was a lot of fun with the monkeys and the birds! West Bay beach was nice. The food at Paradise Beach Club was good but unfortunately flies were all around our table none stop so we couldn´t enjoyed it. By the time we noticed other tables were not having the same issue there were people in all of them. On spite of our efforts we noticed flies were swimming in my wife and son´s smoothies and asked the server to replace them. He basically told us flies were not his problem and he will talk to the manager and see what they can do. At the end he came with only one drink that had to be shared by my wife and son after leaving the table in a rush. When we finished we decided to go back to our beach chairs to get a nap but couldn´t do it since they do not have umbrellas and the sun was too strong for us. We decided to end the tour early and go back to the ship. Our bilingual guide/driver (Shona) was very nice and being local she was able to give us all kind of information about the islands. It is a nice tour but if you go to the beach just try to go to a different beach club.

This tour was 10 out of 10 we were 15 people from toddler to seniors and everything was so accommodating. Our guide TJ was great went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Great time. Sloth and monkey experience was amazing. Beach was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Kyler was our driver and guide. He was great and helped make sure we had a great time, while getting back to the ship in plenty of time. The sloths, monkeys and macaw's were adorable!

The sloth/monkey sanctuary was a great experience for all of us, including the kids. We were given the opportunity to see some cool animals up close and personal and even got tot interact with some of the animals. These interactions were the highlight of the tour for us. The beach break was also very nice and our guides were friendly, helpful and informative.

Darnell was a great tour guide. We were not a fan of the public beach at west bay. So many vendors we couldn't even see the water. They park their boats right on the beach. MJ tours was excellent and we will use them again, but to a private beach next time.

Kyler, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing! The hospitality was outstanding and made the entire experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back just to see Kyler again. The price was well worth it for everything you get to do. Highly recommend this tour!

If you’re visiting Roatán, do yourself a favor and ask for Susan with MJ Tours! She truly made our day unforgettable. She took our family to the Mayan Jungle and West Bay Beach, and from start to finish, she went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience.
Susan was incredibly accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining. She made us feel like family rather than just another group of tourists. Whether it was adjusting the schedule to fit our needs, sharing local knowledge, or making sure everyone—including the kids—was comfortable and having fun, she exceeded every expectation.
It’s rare to meet someone who genuinely loves what they do, and it shows in everything Susan does. She is an absolute asset to MJ Tours and represents the very best of Honduran hospitality. She deserves a raise for the exceptional service she provides!

We had a private experience for our 14 family members (ages ranging from 2-82) and we all had an amazing experience! At the animal sanctuary: the sloths were surprisingly very active, we enjoyed the monkeys jumping from person to person on our heads/shoulders, and we fed the macaws. At the beach: we had good service from the restaurant we ordered lunch from (add’l expense but not required) and enjoyed having easy access to swim in the water and play in the sand. Would do again!

We enjoyed our driver and waiter at the beach, warm and friendly . Monkey and sloth sanctuary not what we expected. Monkeys are in the cages. Pictures taken in the cage where monkey jumps on your shoulder for a minute. But, it was very exciting to see a sloth from that close! Overall , it was ok.

Very fun experience. Kayla was our driver. She was so wonderful. She took us to the Sanctuary. It was very cool to see the animals. We went throught the place in about 30 mins. Then we stopped at the chocolate factory and then the beach. The beach vendors are strong at first, but then they will leave you alone. The food was good and the service was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this tour. This company truly cares that you have a wonderful experience.

MJ Tours is an incredible family-owned company. Our private guide, Kayla, was awesome. Our entire day was perfect! We really enjoyed the monkeys and sloth sanctuary, got a Honduran iced latte at the gift shop, and then went to the West Bay Beach Club. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Kayla was with us all day and we always felt safe and had the best time. Our ship did not let us stay or we would have done so much more! We got way more for the price we paid for our two activities and are planning to come back to Honduras in the future so we can stay longer. We got some incredible pictures and just appreciate so much MJ Tours, Kayla, and our overall experience!!

It says to meet at gate one! It’s just an exit gate from the port. You’ll have to look for them. It was tough and hard to find them but someone eventually guided us to them across the street. Have the company’s name ready and make sure whoever greets you has your name on their list for the booking. Great for small kids who can hardly do any excursion bc of age limits and the driver was our private tour guide throughout the day and waited near by for us! We enjoyed the monkey and sloth sanctuary and the west bay beach was beautiful! Wish we could’ve stayed a bit longer! They drop us back to the port and got us back 2 hours early!

The first adventure was finding our tour guide. We arrived at the island on a cruise ship which I assume most participants do and it was a challenge to find our guide. After leaving the ship you walk through a busy port village and have to exit the port to find your guide. It was a bit confusing but we finally found our guide, Eddie. Eddie was an outstanding guide. As we drove through the island to our first stop, the monkey and sloth reserve, he kept us informed about the island, the inhabitants, and answered my many questions. At the reserve he escorted into the building got us our wrist bands and the waited while we toured. While the tour of the reserve was only about an hour it was amazing. Have you ever had a mo key sit on your shoulder or a macaw on your head? You will here. Have you ever seen a sloth up close and personal? Again, you will hear. The kids 12 & 14 were thrilled and amazed which made me happy but even without the kids I would have enjoyed it. Great visit.
Eddie was waiting and had the tour vans air conditioning running when we got back in which we all appreciated. Roatan is hot and humid.
Next stop was West Bay beach. Beautiful white sand, aqua warm water and paced full of people. You need to be in the water or in the shade. The sun is brutal. We needed to rent beach chairs and an umbrella from one of the baby resorts lining the beach. I paid $46 US for two lounges in the shade and it was well worth it. Before leaving the beach we had a cocktail at a restaurant bar overlooking the beach. There are lots of recreational activities to do at this beach to include diving, jet skiing, riding a banana and much more.
Overall it was a great but very hot and humid day so be prepared for that . Eddie took our tired bodies back to the boat reboard the ship on time. Again. Eddie our tour guide made the trip educational and enjoyable.

We were scheduled to port earlier and we found out we wouldn’t be docking until 1pm. I texted Michelle, I believe that was her name, and she already knew about the delay and time change and eased my mind on them still being there to wait on us. Due to the delay, we decided (us as a family) to just do the sloth and monkey stop and not the beach and they were very accommodating with us. I will say they did give directions on finding our meeting spot when we got off the boat and you have to walk through many people try to sell their tours but the moment I asked for directions or said what tour we booked EVERYONE was so friendly and showed us the way to go one gentleman even helped is cross the busy street. You have to go out of the port area to meet but there was a man with a sign for MJ tours so we knew who to go with. The only part I didn’t love was we had to walk about 5 minutes to get to his parked van. The walk was hot and in a not great area. But again nothing they could help just parking availability. We were the only one in the van with Roger and he told us about Roatan and said we could ask any questions. It was about 15-20 minutes to the sanctuary and our guide was very nice and we LOVED the sloths! Once done, Roger was waiting for us took us right back to the port and stopped to take a picture at the Roatan sign. It was a great experience.
