Breakaway Tours were fabulious
MAMA Rosa was our driver and she made sure we were well taken care of. The Sloths and Monkeys were very interesting. The snorkeling was great. Only 8 of us on the boat. It wasn't an overcrowded catamaran. I would highly reccomend using Breakaway tours!!!

Great island tour
Our tour guide, Jameli was wonderful. She told us so much about the culture and people of the island. When we arrived at the animal sanctuary, the man running it said our admission wasn't included. Jameli contacted her manager and got everything straightened out immediately. I would do this tour again!

Roatan Adventure
My kids and I had a great time visiting the sloths, monkeys and macaws! The chocolate tasting was also good. I would have liked to see a little discount when buying the chocolate, but overall we enjoyed!
Something to note is while viator provides a personal tour guide through Roatan, there is a separate guide who accompanies you through the wildlife park. We did not care for our guide at the park, but our guide through Viator was amazing! 10/10 recommend!

3 Snorkel Stops + Beach
Overall, a very good experience - despite the weather (it was rainy half the day), the guides did a great job of transporting us from the port, to the marina, and then to 3 snorkel stops plus a beach stop. All the stops were within 5 - 10 minutes of each other around French Cay. The guides in the water were excellent at explaining what we would see, identifying all the various sea life. A big shout-out to Philippe, who was not only a phenomenal guide but also gave an impromptu transport back to the port. Would highly recommend.

Our favorite excursion!
This was such a fun excursion. We loved the animal sanctuary. The interaction with monkeys and parrots was a joy. The sloths are so cute. The San Simon resort at West Bay beach was really nice. I loved the sandy beach as you walk into the water. It wasn’t rocky. The best part was our guide for the day, Darnell. She was so nice and informative about Honduras. We felt very comfortable with her and happy with the experience. Highly recommend!

Amazing!!!
This excursion was awesome! The animal sanctuary was the highlight of our trip since we were able to interact with monkeys and parrots are on heads. We loved having our personal driver Samantha. She was willing to answer any questions we had, and even offered to stop several times to take photos. I would highly recommend this excursion!

THE Tour to Take in Roatan
Hands down your best tour option in Roatan - we visited this port for the third time on a cruise… the first time, we did a snorkeling excursion through the cruise that was very mid, the second time we didn’t leave the port, so this time we really wanted to see the island and get a true overview of the island - this tour was EXACTLY what we wanted. Our guide and driver, Orie, is absolutely phenomenal - he’s fun, funny and knows every nook and cranny of the island. Orie drove us all around the island, took us to amazing overlooks, hooked us up with a sloth, macaw and monkey experience, then also made stops at the chocolate and rum factories. Although we skipped a beach break, that was an option Orie offered. End of the day, we do everything we wanted on the island for a fraction of what we’d pay the cruise line to do one or maybe two things. We are traveling with my elderly mother and Orie made sure she could see and do everything. We could not have been happier with our decision to take this tour and we could not recommend it more highly!!!

My Friend and I had a great time at the Monkey and Sloth Sanctuary and Beach Break. When visiting the Sloths, the law is you can no longer hold or touch them. We were lucky that one was hanging out at our level for the perfect picture moment.
There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to use free of charge. The water was very calm and clean. However, it is Very Rocky In The Water So You Should Bring Water Shoes to make it more enjoyable.
The company that Viator used is very well organized and our driver Jared was very accommodating in letting us do a little shopping after our excursion before heading back to the ship.

Great tour
Our experience went above and beyond due to the personality and knowledge of our driver, Sabrina. She is certainly an asset to your tour. Do wish there were more animals at the one stop. The rum and chocolate stops were great. Capping off the day at the beach, pool was also very nice.

Zipline can be a little strenuous. I would not recommend elderly or small children. It is rather primitive but that's what made it exciting. Our zip guides were so much fun! But we especially loved our driver/ guide for the day. His name is Christian and his knowledge and sense of humor was top notch! Thank you Christian for an AMAZING DAY!

A Magical Day... Time Well Spent!
This was the best experience we had on our 8-Day cruise. If there was one negative to the day, it was the beginning. When we exited our cruise ship, we were a bit overwhelmed with the Port of Roatan. It is VERY hectic as you walk through the shops and restaurants and make your way out of the gate to the main road. There are tourists, taxis, vendors, excursion sales people and drivers. We found our Viator rep, and he introduced us to David our driver. He was patient and kind and made us feel safe while walking to his van. As he drove, he told us much about the island, then took us to the sloth and monkey sanctuary (which was first rate). We held monkeys, saw the sloths who were waking up and eating, then we held parrots & makaws and it was a very special experience. Then we headed for the ocean and David dropped us off at the dock area, where we were fitted with swim fins and loaded onto a pontoon-type boat. Our family of nine was joined by a young couple, and as we headed to the reef, our guide Norman explained many things about the specific area we were going to. Once we got our face masks adjusted and our fins on, we slipped off the end of the boat onto the reef. The dive site was absolutely beautiful, and there were so many incredible fish and coral to see! Norman was in the water with us, and the boat stayed close to us in case anyone got tired or wanted to get out of the water. Norman knew the perfect spot and he knew the name of every fish that we saw. He was patient, extremely knowledgeable, and made us feel like family! As we tired, we climbed back onto the waiting boat and it took us back to the dock area and David was there waiting for us again. He was communicative the whole time we were riding with him. As he drove, David shared some personal facts about the island and his story growing up in Honduras. He then returned us to the gate area an hour before we had to board the ship, so we had time to walk around the port and visit shops. I highly recommend doing business with this company and ask for David to drive you.

Monkeys and parrots and sloths—oh my! If a wildlife-viewing adventure appears on your wish list, you can’t go wrong with Roatan excursions that get you up close and personal with the animals that call this island off the coast of Honduras home. Active adventures abound at this popular cruise port, from ATV rides to jungle ziplines to snorkel cruises on the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea. In fact, Roatan sits near the Mesoamerican Reef, the second-largest barrier reef system in the world, so it’s teeming with colorful marine life, including starfish and turtles.
