Tour of Puerta Plata
It was a go at your own pace, our diver/guide, Alan Lantigua was fantastic. Couldn't be any nicer or knowledgeable. Since it was a private tour Alan had laid out the itinerary and my wife and I were abe to add or subtract places to visit. Highly recommend Alan and to definetly go private

Awesome Adventure
Visitor team was amazing and everything ran as scheduled. Thr hike to the falls took about 30 minutes and was up many flights of stairs. We got out workout in for the day. Do not wear Jewerly or take phones and watches!! So many people lost them in the falls. The water is strong and moving fast .

Zip line and waterfall tour
We had amazing tour guides, both Danielle and William we amazing there and back. For the zip line and waterfall tour ask for Carlos and Brayan. Both were hilarious and made the kids feel totally confident the whole time. I was traveling with a 11 and 8 year old and they got them to jump off the waterfall! Highly suggest this excursion over the cruise option. We had AC van, food and multiple cultural stops. The cruise option had an open top safari style truck without AC and no food option for more money… Go this route if you have the option.

If you are in Amber Cove, This Is The Tour!!!
Before I say anything else, I must start by saying this felt like a private guided tour by the best tour guide and driver we have ever had!!! Jonathon was kind, knowledgeable and made us feel like he was taking care of his family, not to mention that he was our own personal photographer. Tami was just as kind and helpful and drove her beautifully clean Honda Civic with amazing skill and safety. We always felt safe and cared for. ***And now to the waterfall. It was a good hike to get there, but soooo worth it. We have been to many waterfalls in many countries but we have never experienced any thing like this. We felt like we were in Jurassic Park. Beautiful plants, fun slides, crystal clear water and options to do 3 meter jumps. It was an overall perfect tour.

As the Dominican Republic’s oldest city, you might think Puerto Plata excursions all revolve around history—but that couldn’t be further from the truth. While plenty of options delve into the past at the 16th-century fortress, many showcase the lush natural landscapes of the island. Tackle rugged terrain on an ATV adventure, go horseback riding on trails leading to waterfalls, feel your adrenaline levels soar during ziplines, and then cool off during snorkeling trips and sunset catamaran cruises.
