This tour was incredible! The customer service and care the guides showed was what really made it outstanding. They provided transportation to the dock as well as drinks, local snacks and watermelon on the boat. Guides were energetic and clearly love what they do. They happily educated us on local wildlife as well. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Our driver, Daniel, is the BEST! He was so professional, timely, friendly and informative of the country! I can’t recommend him enough!! He made himself available to us as we needed! The excursion itself was amazing! The guides were informative and took us to places that truly were underwater experiences. This is a fun activity that I would recommend. Not overly exertive and so beautiful!

This excursion was one of...

Grace_H, Apr 2026
This excursion was one of the best ones we have gone on! Bruno was a great guide and the snorkeling was by far the best our family has ever seen. This is a must try excursion if you go to Roatan!

Great tour and even better tour guide

David_L, Apr 2026
Neal was an amazing guide that gave a lot of info on Roatan. Kind, courteous, and went out of his way to provide us the island experience. The snorkel tour was a lot of fun and beautiful. Crew was fun and made sure everyone had a good time.

Great day in Roatan

Angela_C, Apr 2026
This was a wonderful personalized excursion. From our driver Louis who transported us to and from the excursion and also gave a history of the city, as well as taking us to a great market to shop and local restaurant to have lunch. Our boat captain Bruno and his crew were extremely helpful and engaged with us while snorkeling. They brought snacks like watermelon and homemade local bread to share as well. The snorkeling sights were great and our group greatly enjoyed the entire experience.

Kelsey is the best!

ANGELA_S, Apr 2026
Kelsey was an amazing guide! All of the boat guys were wonderful as well but Kelsey went above and beyond for us when we had an issue (not his fault, 100% ours). He didn’t have to do what he did, speaks to his character! Would definitely recommend!

Stunning waters of Roatan

Lisa_G, Apr 2026
Very nice experience, beautiful waters, the corals and the reef are a wonder! I also saw the animals, very cute and human friendly. My tour guide name was Mercy. Very nice person, she was great company

Fun & Fish

Jessica_D, Mar 2026
There was a Super friendly crew! We had a Great time snorkeling! The 3 snorkeling locations were beautiful!

Great stops

Amanda_W, Feb 2026
The three stops were all very different: the first for starfish, the second for the blue channel which was really special (to see the coral reef and then just a vast expanse of blue where it drops off a cliff), and the shipwreck. More expensive than some other snorkeling tour on the island but seemed worth it to me.

Very touristy and hectic

Maren_N, Feb 2026
The organisation was fine but we were just put on a boat with a bunch of other tourists and every stop we made was very rushed. We could not really take our time to take our photos or explore a bit. For that price you'd get more out of a tour locally booked on a stand.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback and for visiting Roatán. We’re sorry to hear that the experience felt rushed for you. In many cases, tours organized through cruise lines or larger group operators follow fixed schedules and shared transportation in order to accommodate ship departure times and larger numbers of guests, which can sometimes limit the amount of time spent at each stop. At Roatan Five Stars Tours, we specialize in smaller, more personalized experiences designed to allow guests to move at a relaxed pace, enjoy photo opportunities, and explore each location more comfortably. Our independently booked tours are intentionally structured differently from high-volume cruise excursions for this reason. We truly appreciate your visit to our island and hope you had enjoyable moments along the way. If you return to Roatan in the future, we would love the opportunity to provide you with a more customized and relaxed experience. Warm regards, Roatan Five Stars Tours Team ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

VIP treatment snorkeling

Anonymous, Feb 2026
VIP treatment all the way ! Daniel our driver was very happy and greeted us and took us directly to our spot. We waited only a few minutes before going out for our snorkeling trip. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He was a great diver and helped me put my gear on correct. He also helped a girl from another tour who hurt herself on the ship wreck. We were guided to swim here and he was very careful about it. Our guide made our trip!!! We had a truly vip experience due to the other people who cannot make it. I loved every single minute of it. Thank you! We will definitely book again.

Fun island vibe

April_T, Feb 2026
Our snorkel was wonderful! The water was so clear and we got to see sea stars, sand dollars, coral, and lots of varieties of fish. The staff did a great job! George was an engaging tour guide and driver; it was fun to have him point out “that’s my grandma’s house”, “there’s my brother in that car” - we loved the small island vibe for the day!

Unfortunate weather

Alaina_B, Jan 2026
The guides were great and super helpful! Unfortunately the weather was not the best so it was very choppy and hard to see much and snorkel around without getting pulled by the waves. It also started pouring rain so I think the tour was cut a bit short. We didn’t see a whole lot of fish but did see a few cool starfish! The shipwreck was impossible to get close to with the current.

Trip was awesome....

Greg_B, Jan 2026
Trip was awesome. Particularly the snorkeling stop along the reef. Have been snorkeling. In many places, snorkeling around the reef near Roatan was one of the most beautiful snorkeling trips I’ve been on.

West side snorkeling to...

adam_f, Jan 2026
West side snorkeling to sites with limited reef and a low number of fish. The best thing about the event was their service. Picked up at terminal and drove us to the departure point. Great.

Great day

Deborah_B, Jan 2026
Was great, very casual and fun. They will help with anything. Was windy and they moved the boat to pick up snorklers so they didn’t have to fight current.

Would not recommend

Alexandre_L, Jan 2026
We did this excursion on November 18, 2025. When the ship docked we waited for the ship to be ready for the guest to get out as per recommended by the excursion company and then we got out and headed towards the point of contact we were given. My esim didn't work for some reason. When we arrived the driver told us he was about to leave. He had texted me but I never received his messages since my esim didn't work but since I had texted them the previous day confirming we'd be there I didn't think not having an esim was an issue. Anyway, so basically it seems like it was urgent that we arrived at their place. When we arrived, no one told us anything. All drivers were just laying on the curb and talking to each other. We waited for more than an hour before a boat would arrive and then we would be told to go... That's when we learned that's what's we were waiting for. There was another boat already docked so didn't know we were waiting for this new one. We then headed to our first spot. Basically a spot with no corrals, just sand and lots of sea stars. The guides would take them with their hands off the water and ask guests if they wanted to touch them ... What...the...! I'm an advanced diver and it's like one of the first rule: "Do not touch anything in the sea!". After like 15 minutes of looking at sand, we headed to our second spot which had some corrals but honestly, it's not great. Lots of dead corrals. That might be because they don't tell guests to only use mineral reef safe sunscreen... No idea why they don't tell clients. That really annoyed me. As a frequent diver in Roatan, my regular place would tell all clients to only use reef safe sunscreens. The last spot was a shipwreck. That snorkeling spot was nice...at least comparing to the other ones. I feel like we paid way too much and don't recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your experience with us. We truly appreciate hearing from our guests, especially those who are experienced divers, as it helps us improve. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and delays upon arrival. We understand how frustrating that must have been, especially with the connectivity issues you experienced. While we do our best to coordinate pickup times around ship schedules, is not our responsibility if you have issues with your esim. We are also very concerned to hear your comments regarding marine interaction. Protecting our reefs and marine life is extremely important to us. We do not encourage touching marine life, and your feedback has been shared internally to reinforce proper environmental practices with our team to ensure this does not happen again. Regarding reef conditions, we understand your disappointment. Reef health can vary by location and environmental factors, but we agree that educating guests about reef-safe sunscreen and responsible snorkeling behavior is essential, and this is an area we are actively strengthening, and we have the label in our website. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the shipwreck site, and we’re sorry that the overall experience did not meet your expectations or reflect the level of quality we strive to provide. Your feedback is taken seriously and will be used to improve both our operations and guest communication. Thank you again for sharing your perspective, and we wish you many great dives and snorkeling experiences in the future.

Nice

Jerriann_T, Dec 2025
Great experience! Got to see so many beautiful fish. Driver was wonderful and boat staff treated us very well. Such a fantastic excursion!

Not worth it

Kristin_S, Dec 2025
We were a group of 8. First they put us on the wrong bus. They fixed that and got us to the snorkel place, a sketchy looking house in the middle of nowhere. The boat looked a little run down too. After boarding the boat they made us wait almost an hour for the ‘last group’ to show up. Finally they took us out… about 400 yards off the shore to the ‘first stop’. FYI, ALL three snorkel sites are next to each other. Like a couple hundred yards apart. You could see the departure dock the whole time. The corals themselves were small, so were the fish. Saw a couple large starfish, some biscuit sand dollars, and one skate. The ‘shipwreck’ is a 40 foot long hunk of sea junk. Couldn’t tell it was a ship at all. The whole trip is basically a rip off. If you are Not experienced or don’t want to be in the water a long time you might think this trip is good. I know that Roatan has Way Better destinations to see. Go to the other end of the island. Maybe Coxen Hole?

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. While we do not have a record of your group under our bookings, we always want every visitor to Roatan to enjoy a safe and memorable experience. For that reason, we would like to clarify that our tours operate with designated vehicles, certified captains, and approved snorkel vessels, and none of our departures begin from the type of location described. Additionally, our itineraries follow fixed schedules, so extended delays or mixing groups is not standard for our operations. Regarding the snorkel sites, Roatan’s marine reserve offers several beautiful areas that differ in depth, coral formations, and marine life. Some sites are located close to shore—this is normal for the reef system here—but they are selected for visibility, safety, and wildlife diversity, which our guests consistently enjoy. We understand that not every tour is the right fit for every traveler, and we genuinely regret that the experience you had—whether with us or another operator—left you disappointed. If you believe this review was posted to our company in error, we kindly ask you to contact us directly so we can better understand what happened and ensure the correct operator is notified. Our team is always available at WhatsApp +504 9872-9652 or info@roatanfivestars.com should you wish to share more details. We are committed to providing transparent, safe, and high-quality tours for all our guests. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you wonderful travels ahead.

Perfect!

Stone_N, Dec 2025
Great communication. Pick up and drop off from the port was seamless. Boat captain and guides knew exactly where to go to see the best fish, reef, starfish, and shipwreck! Everything felt seamless. Driver took us to two different lookouts and told us all about the area. Answered any and all questions we had about Honduras and Roatan.

Bare bones and down to business

Mary_T, Nov 2025
This was a no nonsense type of excursion. Expect few safety measures but great snorkeling. Much emphasis on the most important safety measures for self and for environment and others. Freedom to swim in a vicinity of the guide. Good sites. We only went to 2 of the 3 because of weather conditions. Admittedly, I had a bit of safety concerns as the trip began, but none after it was over. I would bring warm coverings and an extra towel if I did it again. The water was warm, but the air on the boat trip was cold.

Best Reef experie

Communication excellent. Everyone was friendly and fun. Enjoyed all of our snorkeling stops. We even had a chance to hold a starfish!

Roatan snorkeling

Ron_S, Aug 2025
Was a really great experience. Would definitely do it again. Ken was wonderful and transporting us to the place where we went out snorkeling and then brought us back, treated us to iguana and fried fish and a very authentic stop and then cause back to the ship on time. On the snorkeling boat to take care of us actually swear on my wife around on a life frame and helped her with her gear so she would’ve felt comfortable with the experience. This is a terrific garden. You should definitely do it.

Very knowledgeable staff....

Madison_R, Aug 2025
Very knowledgeable staff. Great snorkeling spots! Saw reefs, the ship wreck, and many starfish. The transportation was a nice bonus too!

Fun Snorkel Trip

Multiple snorkel spots across a large bay, including a cool, historic shipwreck. Guides allow freedom to explore on your own.

Perfect for our family!

Kristin_M, Aug 2025
We enjoyed every part of this adventure from the private transport, the snorkel stops, the helpful service, to the quick stop for local cuisine on the way back! We only wish it could have lasted longer, but we’re thankful for the attention to our cruise ship timeline!
