The best Tour- Tucan Tours
My My cousin and I took a private tour to the Monkey & Sloth Adventure, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. Our first stop was the monkey and sloth reserve—such a fun and memorable experience! I even let a monkey and a macaw sit on my shoulders. What made the day even more special was our tour guide, Diana from Tucan Tours. She was bright, positive, and incredibly engaging. She took us around much of the island and introduced us to a fantastic souvenir shop—New Souvenirs Roatán—where we found great items at very reasonable prices, plus free engraving. By the end of the tour, we had made Diana an honorary cousin! She was knowledgeable, personable, and truly made our day unforgettable. I highly recommend asking for her if you book with Tucan Tours.

Great private tour experience!
If you’re booking this, be aware that it is a private tour. When you first leave the port gates you’ll see a massive amount of tour guides and taxi drivers. Our tour guide came looking for us and was wearing a blue “Let’s See Roatan” shirt. I won’t lie it seemed a bit sketchy at first but it is private and I think it’s better that way because you have better control over your time spent at each place. When you get to the beach club you don’t have to pay for the day pass ($25/pp) but do have to buy at least 1 drink. You’ll still get access to the beach but just dint have a beach chair. All in all a great experience getting to visit the animal sanctuary, chocolate factory, rum tasting, and a beach!

Even those pressed for time will be impressed with Anchorage’s half-day tours. The city makes a fabulous home base for adventure in any direction: To the north, visitors can explore rivers and waterfalls; to the east, mountains and Alaska’s most well-known state park; to the south, wildlife sanctuaries and famous scenic overlooks; to the west, islands, whale-watching, and more. Half-day tours from Anchorage—be it by bus, car, boat, or kayak—are just enough time to sample the city’s greatest wonders, and they are indeed great.
