We had the most amazing time on this excursion! Sonny was our guide, and is now our new bestie! He was an absolute blast, and got us safely to each destination! The animals were such a treat, and the horseback riding was something special! I would definitely recommend bug spray. Every person we met, we adored, and Honduras is now a new favorite of ours!

Amazing experience from start to finish. You are assigned a personal driver who will be with you the entire tour. Ours took excellent care of us for the entire duration and even showed Us a few things extra. The sloths & horseback rides were a favorite for the kids, we also enjoyed the snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. I highly recommend giving this excursion a try.

Great Experience

LaRonna_H, Mar 2026
Borro and our diver took really good care of us! They were there waiting for us when we arrived. He gave us a lot of information about Roatan. We were able to ride horses, spend our own individual time with the animals, and take a private snorkel tour. Borro often checked on us and made sure we were having a good experience! They didn’t waste any time. It was one of our best excursions ever! We had bathrooms to change for snorkeling. We were also able to leave a bag in the van during horseback riding and during the animal adventure.

Not our first Roatan trip

We had an amazing day today on our excursion. The guide (Adeliera? Forgot how to spell her name..but she drive a grey Kia car) was there to meet us at Gate 1. She made sure we chose a route that would get us fast tracked in the lines at the different stops. She worked with the different companies when we arrived to make sure we were taken care of. She suggested a restaurant when we told her we wanted more local cuisine. She even called ahead and they had our food ready when we arrived. Definitely recommend!

The overall excursion was good and fun. The horseback ride could have been better. It was not very scenic and it was kind of dirty. Snorkling was great.

Great excursion despite the weather.

Pam_H, Dec 2025
We booked the tour with Webster’s tour. Included was Horseback riding, sloths, and we were supposed to have a beach break but instead went to chocolate factory. It was raining and it was enjoyable despite the weather. John and Larry communicated good before the trip and our guide was personable.

The horseback ride is pretty short. The sloths and monkey park was amazing...we got to interact with all of the animals and the people were very friendly. Snorkeling was good - make sure you change to swimsuits after the horses because there's no place to change at the beach! Our driver was so friendly!

CLIFFORD_G, Dec 2025
Excellent guide. The issue was the traffic going to Horseback riding which took time and there were several large groups already waiting their turn to ride. Ship had to Tender into port. So, between traffic, tender and waiting for riding turn, these issues reduced time of touring.

Scam! Very disappointing…don’t buy!!!

James_I, Nov 2025
This excursion was a scam. We did not meet up with people like it said to at Hotel. Even the hotel employees said this post is a scam. I better get my money back for this entire excursion as we didn’t get to do anything on the island it waste our time trying to find this trip. Very disappointed…

Disappointed

Giselle_B, Aug 2025
I booked this tour with a high expectation for the horseback riding adventure since my husband and son really wanted to do it specially the riding in the water part. Overall the experience did not even lasted 40 minutes. After the horseback riding we went to the sloth park. It was our first time seeing them and they only had one available and was sleeping. In addition to that we did not even get our beach break. The tour guide, Borry, and the workers at the horse park specially David, were really nice.

Marcos with the horseback riding was awesome very knowledgeable and humble about beginnings of the village and lifestyle. Snorkeling was amazing and great experience!!!

Nice Experience

Karen_R, Jul 2025
We booked the experience because my daughter really wanted to do the horse back riding on the beach. It was a little disappointing because we barely went of the water. The only good thing was the workers were phenomenal one of them his name was Bingo and the other young man I forgot his name. They made our experience a very good one. Then at the sanctuary the kids love the experience with the monkeys, sloths and guinea pigs. The only thing that I didnt like and I find it misleading was that it said with beach time and when we asked the driver he said that was not included and if we wanted that we needed to paid extra $20 per person. They girls really wanted to do it so we paid the entrance of which end up being an extra $80 for all 4 of us. The beach was beautiful and clean just that the food and drinks we super expensive and we wrapped out a bill of $183 for 3 fried fishes, 1 shrimp Alfredo and 2 mango juices. The driver was very nice and helpful every time we asked him about stuff. Honduras is a beautiful place to visit I will just be careful when you reading the excursions and what you getting.

Larry Jr waw a great guide. The pet farm was really fun, got real close to the animals. Horse back ride was easy and the guide was great. Wish it was a little bit longer. The beach area was great, didn't know it was located right next to the horse ride area or else we would've stayed longer.

Would book over and over again

Sarah_E, Mar 2025
Larry with Webster Tours was fantastic! I will def seek out HIS company specifically when we come back. I didn’t realize he was a guide for just us and that was so awesome. He picked us up in a comfy van with air conditioning and drove us to our destinations. He answered all our questions and told us about his home. He took us to the sloth park. They have monkeys and macaws too. They offered pictures for us 2 for just 20$! I got over 150 amazing high quality pictures that were amazing! He then took us to a beach club where we did the horseback riding and snorkeling. The horses were healthy and well taken care of. People have to remember their horses aren’t as thick as American horses because it’s hot and they do a lot of exercising but ribs weren’t showing and their coats were shiny. The saddles were a little uncomfy as they were just basic and they couldn’t adjust the stirups (I’m tall so it was kinda uncomfortable) but it was a nice leisurely slow stroll. The snorkeling was the best I’ve ever done and that includes Belize which is suppose to be the prettiest. I saw at least 30 different fish and such beautiful coral. Diving at the shipwreck was really cool. The snorkel/club tour people were great in the water. They let us go at our own pace, investigate what we wanted with so much time to look. We used carnival ships in Belize and were very rushed. I would love to come back to this spot just for this snorkel experience!!! The club was nice, I wouldn’t get in the water at the shore as the seaweed and rocks don’t seem like it would be great. I loved they gave you a locker that you could stop by at anytime and they kept up with your key. I would give LARRY with WEBSTER 5 plus stars! I would give the horses a 4.75 just bc of the saddles and the snorkeling a 5plus! The sloths were a 10! (Come on their just so adorable! ) can’t wait to come back

Nice ride

domingo_s, Mar 2025
Horse were malnourished. Although a scenic my wife was heartbroken when visually looking at the animal.

Fun day

Rosemary_D, Feb 2025
During the snorkeling we saw many starfish along with some beautiful fish. The horseback riding was calm but still enjoyable.

Horses, Monkeys, Sloths Oh My!

Tiffany_L, Nov 2024
The weather was horrible, but the guides made it a wonderful experience nonetheless. We had many questions and they answered all of them. The animals all seemed happy and healthy. Everything was as described online which doesn’t always happen. We had a great time and will use this tour group (Webster) again.

Sloths and monkeys are worth seeing!

Missy_M, Jul 2024
We had some very memorable moments! The petting zoo was amazing. Everyone had a great experience. There was also some handmade souvenirs. The horseback rides were very entertaining too. The guides here did the best they could with what they had. The beach was just ok.

Snorkeling made it worth it

Sierra_D, May 2024
The horses didn’t seem well kept, making them kind a little aggressive. But nothing to be alarmed over. The snorkeling was the highlight of the trip. My teens to my 32 year old sister still haven’t stopped talking about their experience. They have said multiple times they wish it lasted longer. They were on the boat by 1:30pm when they didn’t need to be back until 3:00pm.

Family rated this as our best excursion!

Michelle_C, Apr 2024
We had an AMAZING time on this excursion with our children ages 5-14. Our private driver Skinszor and each of the people we met along the way were fantastic. Despite some initial hesitation on the treatment of the animals, we saw nothing concerning and the animals appeared to be well cared for. The monkey/sloth/birds were super fun to engage with and we didn’t feel crowded since we were by ourselves. The horseback ride was fun and just long enough - yes, there is trash along the shoreline but we could see that there was some effort to clean as there were many trash bags gathered along the road (water bottles galore!). As others mentioned, it was a short ride on a small stretch of beach, the road is mainly what appears to be private for some homes and a church. The horses knew exactly what to do and for our inexperienced riders, was a fun time - I would probably not recommend for experienced riders since it’s a very slow pace. These are a much smaller breed of horse than what we are used to seeing in the U.S. Afterwards, we were taken to Foster’s West Bay resort where we enjoyed the beautiful water before going on a quick snorkeling trip with many fish and coral before enjoying the rest of the time on the beach. Highly recommend the Pineapple Drinks sold by the lady who makes them in the water on a kayak, so delicious and very well priced so we bought many! We didn’t want to leave, we were having such a wonderful time. My children all enjoyed immensely! Highly recommend, it was especially nice to be able to do things at our own pace. We were definitely the envy of our friends and the excursions they chose. Something to note, bring small bills as they won’t exchange larger ones and the local people like crisp bills without any ‘rips’ (even tiny ones where bills have been folded - not something we consider at home), and the ocean water is VERY salty here.

Had a private car take us around.

Jason_F, Mar 2024
Larry took us around. Had a private car. Our family had a private horseback ride. Larry then took us to the sloth park. Would highly recommend.

Best day of our trip!

Lauren_L, Mar 2024
We loved Roatan! Our guide Yariela was so helpful. The animals at the sloth sanctuary were lovely. The head of the horse operation was good at working with riders with little or no experience, and took us for a charming view through the area, ending up with a short ride on the beach. He even stopped for pictures by the water. We then went snorkeling through crystal clear water, seeing the coral reef, fish, and so much more. The boat captain Tomas even had snorkels, masks, and fins for those who did not have them. Our day ended up with Yariela guiding us to a beachfront restaurant with lobsters for everyone! This was the best day of our trip!

Best day of the trip!

Candi_B, Mar 2024
This excursion was the highlight of our cruise! We were a group of five and had a private car and driver for the day. This was so much better than being herded with a hundred other people from the ship and rushed from place to place. We were able to take our time and really enjoy Roatan! We will definitely book with this company when we return! Special thanks to our driver, Borry, who was great to hang out with and up for anything!

Starved horses, expensive souvenir shops, no snorkel instruction.......

Wendy_T, Feb 2024
For starters, I had originally just booked my husband and I on this excursion which was horseback and snorkel. We added a 3rd person and at that time I chose the added option of sloth park and monkeys. Because of this, we did NOT wear swim suits under out clothes as we assumed we would not snorkel until the end. The guide informed me that I had only requested the horseback and snorkel and that's all I paid for. Well, I don't know what happened, but we were were not about to pay an additional amount which he said we could do......Well, this was one of the WORST horseback riding experiences I have ever ever been on. We had our own driver for the day.....that was nice. We got to where the horses were and it looked like a farm for abused horses. They were skinny, and tired looking and standing in the dirt....didn't see any food or water for them. My husband is HIGHLY experienced with horses, the other 2 of us not so much. He told me his horse was sick and not breathing right. He could tell it didn't want to move. (He mainly went on this ride for me, but it made him sick to see the shape that the horses were in.) I SHOULD have known when I had emailed prior to the cruise if there was a weight limit for people riding the horses. Our friend would not have met the limit had she been riding with us in Aruba a few years back....thus I asked. He said 300-400 lbs would be the limit. So, I assumed they must have a few large horses for heavier folks. NOPE! They took the SMALLEST and skinniest mare and put the heaviest of our party on her. You can see on the pics that the horse was severely malnourished and underweight. Her hip bones stuck out and her withers were sunken. Assuming we would be on the beach and in the water, I thought it won't be so bad on the horse. BUT we barely walked on the beach which was FULL of TRASH! it was disgusting. He took lots of pics and lined the horses all pretty....then walked in the water and took a few pics and then we left. It was NOT a great ride on the beach. After the horseback riding.....since there was confusion about the sloth and monkey park.....we indicated that we needed to change our clothes before going snorkeling. We were taken to a small (resort?) area where we had to pay to use the bathroom to go change. Then we got onto the boat to go snorkeling. We were handed a snorkel mask but were not given fins and had to ask for them. He said they don't usually give fins out to people. That was crazy to hear. We had our own snorkel vests but what they offered was just a simple life belt....not the best but okay. We were not shown how to snorkel, nor was there a guide in the water to point anything out or show anything. We didn't mind as we are avid snorklers, but felt that the others on the boat with us who had never snorkeled did not get advice which would have been handy. The reef was very beautiful and I wish we had had more time to snorkel and foregone the long winded lunch. After snorkeling we were taken to a restaurant where we could buy lunch. The food was authentic and amazing....but very expensive. $25 for lunch seemed quite high for the primitive outdoor restaurant. We found out that it was where the took the tourists....that the other places were too spicy! I wish we could have had a say and chose ourselves. Our driver was great.....took us all over and waited for us. We felt that our belongings were safe and secure.....I was pleased with that. On the way back to the ship we were taken to some shops on the way back. I wonder if they are in kahoots with the store owners.....we were TOLD the prices would be better there than near the cruise port....welll...NO! The small bottles of vanilla that we bought for $10 were only $3.50 right in the restricted cruise area! So beware......I think they know how to take advantage of tourists. Would I do this over again? No, the trash along the beach where they take you riding is a disgrace and ruins the entire experience. I know they can't teach their people to not pollute, but it really is horrible. The lack of care given to the horses was deplorable. In the US the horses would have been confiscated from abuse. I wish we had gone to see the sloths and monkeys, but the added fee he wanted us to pay was more than what the offer had said....and I wasn't 100% sure if I had already been charged for all 3 but he just had things mixed up. Either way, the $100 paid was not worth it. On our way back to the ship we saw some other horses in an area that looked like they were better cared for. They say you can save money by not doing a ship excursion, but I bet the horses would have been better cared for from one of them.

Animals were Good - Horses were NOT - be ready for Roatan afternoon traffic jam

Kelly_M, Feb 2024
We started with the animal park, which was a very fun morning activity. The sloths and monkeys were adorable. Next was the horseback riding which was not so great. Rode 2 elderly trail nags that did not want to move, and the rode through a trashy looking neighborhood to a short strip of beach where the horses had to be coaxed into the water and then back to the stable. Total riding time was under 30 minutes. The beach experience was less than memorable except for less than 20 minutes spent snorkeling. I was provided a mask and snorkel when the skipper tied up to a static line, and told to go. I snorkeled by myself with no helpful hints. The water itself is beautifully clear and there were a lot of tropical fish to watch, but the time allowed was insufficient. The driver for the day did not make us feel safe, and the traffic getting back to the cruise pier was horrendous. Waited 45 minutes in traffic before we chose to abandon the car and walk the last half mile. Did not feel like we got a good value for the dollars spent.

Fun day in Roatan

Kellie_P, Feb 2024
This was such a fun tour full of everything . We loved seeing the sloths they were so cuddly! Snorkeling was beautiful. It was so clear and Gavin our boat driver was fun. Riding horses was at first intimidating but the owner of the business made sure we were all safe and felt comfortable on the horses . We went to a beach but beware of the massage ladies. They will try to trick you into letting them do a sample of a massage and then 5 minutes later want you to pay $80.00 . But that is not the companies fault we just needed to be better at ignoring them. We loved our driver Jenni she was the best and talkative and funny . We had a great time !

Lots of fun but educational in Honduras!

Janet_F, Jan 2024
Kacey was our tour guide and he was fantastic. We had a private tour and he was not only funny but he made sure we didn’t miss a thing. It was one of our top two tours on the vacation.

Our guide, Casey, was great, but the experience was not quite as expected

Kevin_A, Dec 2023
I will start by saying the tour operator was very responsive, and the guide that we had, Casey, was great. The animal park was fun although I have to say we did feel sorry for the animals and how they were just shuffled around from person to person. It was quite crowded. The horseback riding was a bit of a disappointment. We expected to be right along the beach. What we experienced was a trash covered piece of sand that had some water on it. I am sure they were trying to make a statement about what gets thrown in the water, and then washes up on shore, but it would’ve been nice if they had cleaned it up and made it enjoyable for the guests. And riding through a jungle as stated was clearly not the case. We did enjoy ourselves, but the experience was a little less than expected.
