Overview
Spend a day at the beach with this tour option in Roatan. Once at the beach, grab a quick boat ride to the coral reef where you’ll enjoy an hour snorkeling session. For those who don’t want to swim, you can simply hang out on the boat and take in the views of the clear blue Caribbean waters. Following that, head back to the beach to relax. Dolphus (our guide and driver) made the trip for us and made us feel like family. He was extremely friendly and down to earth and made us feel safe and welcome.
When you first step off the ship in the port of Roatan, it can be a little overwhelming with the bombardment of vendors and excursion sales-people.
It took us a few minutes to locate our guide, but as soon as we met with Dolphus, we were immediately put at ease. He quickly explained what was going on and guided us through the entire excursion with ease and comfort. The snorkeling was breathtaking and then he he took us to Bananarama Resort at West Beach, which was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to on earth. Crystal Clear Blue water, white sand and felt very safe. Lots of cheap drink and food options as well.
Dolphus also ensured us he would be waiting for us when we wanted to head back to the ship (and he stood by his word) which helped so much with the stress of being in an unknown foreign country. He got us back in a very timely manner.
Overall, this excursion was well worth the money And if you get the opportunity, please request Dolphus as your driver and guide. Roatan is now one of my families, favorite places on earth and you won’t regret visiting.
We will certainly be back to visit every chance we get.

My favorite cruise port of the trip! Michael was an EXCELLENT tour guide and host! I felt very safe with him. He knows the area like the back of his had and knew everyone in town. He picked us up promptly and told us that the day was ours to plan. We chose to start by going to a high viewpoint for photos then headed to the beach. Our snorkeling boat guide picked just the two of us up right on our beach and we got to snorkel for 1.5 hours. Our beach day was at Bananarama Resort. The beach was beautiful and not over crowded! A beach chair came with our day and we had access to their clean bathrooms and outdoor shower. We could order food and drinks from their restaurant bar. The shrimp tacos were incredible!! And be sure to get the Monkey Lala, Roatan’s signature drink! We let Michael know when we were ready to head back and he stopped by the rum cake shop for us to sample cakes and buy some souvenirs. We were back to port in plenty of time! Ask for Michael! He is a big part of why I think I would return to Roatan one day!

Michael Dolmo our driver and guide was wonderful! Very professional and kind. Great conversation and background on the island. Snorkel trip was amazing!! Coral and fish were breathtaking

Our guide, Josh, was wonderful. It was not beach weather, so he took us to chocolate factory and up in the hills for panoramic photo opportunity. The snorkeling was amazing.

Our tour guide was great, very flexible and accommodating, and did not rush us at all. The snorkeling was fantastic. Beautiful reefs!! I went snorkeling again a couple of days later in Cozumel and while I saw more variety of sea life, the reefs were not as beautiful.

Meet up instructions need to be improved. Spent 30 minutes finding the location and tour guide. Other guides jumped in to call the company. Once we met Tracy, things proceeded much more smoothly. He asked us what we wanted to do and made it happen for us. Snorkeling was beautiful, we got a tour of Coxen Hole, and relaxed on the beach. Then he took us to Annie's restaurant near a beautiful bay for a local lunch. Thank You Tracy!

The snorkeling was nice and Tracy our driver was wonderful. The beach was not very nice but we are use to the beautiful white sand of the Gulf Coast so we were not impressed.

Michael was our driver/tour guide. He is local and shares his knowledge very freely. He took good care of us and was with us all during our land excursion. We loved him!
Henry was our boat captain and snorkel coordinator. He put the boat right above an excellent coral reef! We saw so many fish and beautiful coral.
This was an excellent excursion and I highly recommend it!

Dolfos was a wonderful tour guide around the island. He knew the spots well and was very flexible. He got us back to the ship in the nick of time even though we were a little delayed when my boo decided to get her hair braided. All in all it was a great adventure

Though our guide was accommodating, our main goal which was snorkeling, was left to the end of our excursion and felt very rushed. It was not at the reef that was advertised in the booking. The beach was overcrowded and definitely not a relaxing event. Granted, it was Christmas Day, but overall I was very disappointed and will not book with this company again.

Our snorkeling tour with Roatan adventure was amazing!! We had Michael and William as our guides who were both really knowledgeable and helpful. Michael made us feel extremely comfortable, gave us tips for the rest of our trip, and was very flexible/ patient with us. We couldn’t have had a better time! 🙂
