What are people saying about Colon

Roderick is the best!
We had a wonderful experience with Roderick showing us the Colon area as well as the Agua Clara and Gatun locks. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as the history and the technology of the locks and the canal in general. He was very accommodating and made sure we saw exactly what we wanted to see. He also enhanced our overall experience by taking us to areas not usually visited on this private tour. Roderick’s English is excellent. He is exceptionally thoughtful and kind and he made sure we spent the time required to have an in-depth experience rather than just a “pass-by”. We highly recommend Roderick to anyone wanting a comprehensive tour of the Colon area, its history, the Panama Canal and its locks. Many thanks, Roderick!

Great day in Panama
We had an amazing day. Milton our guide and Brian our driver were great. We were able to see the new locks, the old locks, modern Panama City & old Panama City. We signed up for an English speaking tour & it ended up being bilingual. Milton did an amazing job taking care of both the English & Spanish speaking in our group. We also had 18 in our group which was not a problem, lovely group of people. We would definitely do this tour again. I do not like being on a bus with 50 people. You can do & see more with a smaller group. Viator has never let me down.

Great canal and fort tour. Great guide! Milton was our guide.
We were a group of about 20. Perfect size compared to the big cruise ship buses. Our guide, Milton, was vey well versed in Panama history and culture & of course the canal. He took any questions and kept us engaged! It was hot. Nice that cold bottled water and beer were provided along with a traditional empanada snack. The canal history past and present was fascinating. We were able to see a cargo ship move through the locks. We stopped along the way to the fort for a couple of wildlife sightings. The history of San Lorenzo fort at the mouth of the Chagres river was interesting. FYI: this part of the tour requires a bit of walking with little shade. All in all, a great tour a “snapshot” of Colon and the canal, an engineering marvel

Come on in, the water is great!
There is something to be said for relaxing on the deck of a catamaran. And for being served a delicious lunch while relaxing on the deck of the catamaran. Then add snorkeling, swimming, SUP, a kayak, and some aquatic wildlife and you have a perfect day. The monkey in the tree was a huge bonus. It was a wonderful tour.
