What are people saying about Reykjavik

An interesting and pleasant walk around Reykjavik with Luca.
Our tour of Reykjavík with Luca was certainly time extremely well spent. Luca shared many fascinating stories with us, gave us insight into the history of Reykjavík’s founding and development, offered helpful tips, and happily answered all our questions. I visited this extraordinary place with my teenage son, who—when asked which attraction he enjoyed the most—replied that it was precisely the walk around Reykjavík with Luca. It is worth noting that we also visited the South Coast, went whale watching, and even set out in search of the Northern Lights—so the competition was stiff—yet in my teenager's eyes, Luca proved to be unrivaled.
It is also worth mentioning that treating us to local sweets and drinks was an incredibly kind gesture on his part.
Yes, this is definitely an experience I highly recommend.

The South Coast of Iceland didn't disappoint!
This was a favorite amongst our group of travelers and such an easy way to the South Coast of Iceland. The waterfalls, black sand beach, and glacier were breathtaking. Our tour guide was upbeat, funny, informative and kept everyone on schedule. I would highly recommend this tour to other travelers.

Fun easy experience
The location is not far from the capital if you are driving there and they have hourly slots. A popular trek into the 2nd largest lava tunnel in Iceland. Guided by our funny Greek tour guide, Dimitris, the experience was easy going and very enjoyable 1 hour trek. Free toilets and free parking on site.

Stunning cave with icicles galore
My 12 year old and I loved this adventure. Finding the bus was super easy. Everyone was very friendly. Our tour guide was not only informative, but had a GSOH. The cave was stunning. I’m so glad we visited in the winter as the snow was expansive and beautiful to see on our journey to and from the cave.

Great stories and loop through a residential area we would never have explored otherwise
It was VERY cold and at first, when our guide said the tour would be 1.5-2 hours, I thought, “we will never last that long,” but the time went by quickly with the stories and exploration of a cemetery, a stop by a church, etc. I’m very glad we decided to do it!

Great tour to get to know the city upon arrival
I gotta say. This tour was amazing. I almost missed it because I did not hear my alarm but thankfully and coincidentally the tour guide called me (which woke me up) to change the time for half an hour later (which worked even better lol).
The 2 hour walk along the city with the cold weather was super comfortable and we barely felt the walk at all. (So don't worry about it) Our guide Nory did an amazing job. He is so knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor which made the tour very insightful, interesting and very very fun. We learned a lot about Iceland, its history, the Reykjavik City, etc and even got a chance to run up to a few of the stores he recommended before our next tour (since we had the day fully booked). (We ate the traditional Lamp soup. Soo good)
It was great that we booked this tour the second day of our stay because the day we arrived to Iceland we had no idea where to go, how to get by or where anything was. So, this tour first thing in the morning was enough for us to learn where everything was and what we wanted to visit. So much so, that there were
places we needed to go for other tours and we were going to go by bus but decided to talk to the spots instead since we already got to know the area. I know for a fact that without this tour I would have never known where to go and would have missed so many fun and interesting places around the city.
Thank you soo much! We had fun. Definitely will recommend this tour.

Don't miss PERLAN
There is so much more than you would expect when you arrived at the museum. Glaciers volcanoes earthquakes Northern Lights... Amazing! Interactive, educational and entertaining activities. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, helpful, very aware of the guests and the guests needs. I would give them a "12" rating on a scale of 1 to 10!!!

Easy, the bus was waiting...
Easy, the bus was waiting for us at the airport as we cleared customs and got our luggage. I suggest you purchase the transfer from the main bus terminal to your final destination (hotel) in advance. I purchased the transfer at the bus terminal in Reykjavik and missed the first bus, good news only had to wait 20 minutes for the local bus to come back to the terminal.

There wasn’t a bad view...
There wasn’t a bad view on the boat as it wasn’t too packed in. We got to see three humpback whales multiple times and the tour guide was full of great information and stories about whales and Iceland. Even though we were out on a milder winter day, spending hours on the viewing decks will require you to dress quite warmly. Lots of layers! And don’t forget your gloves like I did. Even if you forget something, there is a little bar with alcohol and non alcoholic warm beverages if you need. The inner cabin spaces are also cozy and warm.

Reykjavik Walking Tour
We started our Iceland vacation with a walking tour with our wonderful guide, Einar. He showed us all the local landmarks and gave us a brief history of the country. We were able to visit the homes of renowned artists and leaders. The weather was a bit of a damper but Einar remained enthusiastic in showcasing the beautiful city of Reykjavik.

10/10 recommend!
I had a wonderful time! Our tour guide, Al, was incredibly friendly and informative. We were able to stop at a lot of awesome places, and I feel like we had a good amount of time at each one. With how far away some of the destinations are, I was worried bathroom breaks would be limited, but there were plenty of opportunities for this (in addition to opportunities to get lunch/snacks/drinks). I had a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this tour!

We were warned at...
We were warned at check-in that we were at the end of the season and we wouldn’t see a lot of puffins. We saw a fair number of puffins plus a few seals. Our captain was great as well as our guide! Definitely recommend but just be aware that mid August is low number of puffins.
