Reykjavik: from underwhelming to very interesting
We were staying in Reykjavik already for a few days, but found it a bit underwhelming, until we did the walking tour. Our guide Hrafn changed our perspective completely! He showed us some very nice parts of the city and told gave us some very interesting insights and funny anecdotes. We totally recommend taking the tour.

The Food Walk is a must do!
The Food Walk is the best way to learn about Iceland and its food in a short time. Jenny was our guide and she was fantastic! A native Icelander who had just relocated back in Reykjavik from studying in the US. Her English was flawless and her sense of humor quite entertaining. The restaurants we visited ere Fjallkonan, Messin, Islenski Barinn and Cafe Loki for rye bread ice cream (yum!) We received a coupon for one of the famous hotdogs because the line was long and it was raining. I ate it the next day and it was good (80% lamb).

A Great Experience
Totally enjoyed the Lava Cave Tunnel. Our guide was very informative with a sense of humor. We did have to do some walking on uneven surfaces but we were prepared. It was also cool in the cave. At one point, our guide turned off all the lights and we had total darkness. And you cannot see a thing. Great experience.

Perfect introduction to the city
Þór was great! Though the weather was cold and rainy he kept things interesting and provided breaks indoors. This tour was just the right amount of walking after getting off the plane this morning. I feel much more comfortable getting around the city during the rest of my stay here. Glad I started with this tour!
