It was an amazing experience. Our tour guide, Jhorri Arcmasone was so knowledgeable and patient with all guests. He explained a lot of Iceland history with each site we visited and kept it light with the jokes. Robert our driver was such a great guy too very smooth with rough terrain. Will definitely recommend to all friends and family.

Itinerary

Start with morning pickup from select Reykjavik hotel or cruise port (if option selected), or make your way to Bus Stop #12. Then, settle into a comfortable, shared coach, and admire Iceland’s volcanic interior as you travel along the Golden Circle Route.

Stop at the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park. Learn about the foundation of the world's oldest parliament, which happened here in 930 AD. Then, view the meeting point of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates that are slowly pulling apart.

Next, visit the majestic “Golden Waterfall” of Gullfoss, considered by many to be Iceland’s most beautiful waterfall, and the Strokkur geyser that spouts water high into the air every few minutes. The final stop on the Golden Circle tour is the enormous Kerid volcanic crater.

Then it's time to rest your muscles at the Secret Lagoon. Relax in a fairy-tale-like setting, made even more magical by the clouds of steam rising from the lagoon. Fed by underground hot springs, the waters stay at 100-104°F (38-40°C) all year round.

Once you're done, dried off, and changed back into your clothes, board the coach for the return ride to Reykjavik, where your experience ends with a drop-off. Note that the order of the itinerary may be changed.

Worth the long day!

Thomas_C, May 2026
We had a wonderful day! Soaking at the secret lagoon, looking at the gullfoss falls, geyser hot springs, and beautiful weather (but cold)! Our driver Otter was great!

We had a great time on this tour! We loved how the bus stopped at a new place every 20-40 minutes so you weren't sitting on the bus for hours at a time. The sites were fantastic and our guide Sindri was very knowledgeable.

Siggi was an awesome tour...

Nicholas_S, Apr 2026
Siggi was an awesome tour guide. We did all the stops mentioned in the description and he made a few other stops for us which made the tour above average. This was the best tour we did in Iceland during our vacation.

We were only in Reykjavik...

Jennifer_S, Apr 2026
We were only in Reykjavik for two days. This tour was a wonderful way to spend one of those days. Andrea, our tour guide, was exceptional. There was plenty of time at each location. The day felt well-paced.

Had a great time on this tour and was a perfect way to see some of Iceland's wonders in one day. The sights break up the day nicely and each offers something unique.

Best Tour Ever

Jacqueline_J, Apr 2026
Here’s a polished, engaging tour review you can use: ⸻ What an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, this tour captured the natural beauty and wonder of Iceland in the most incredible way. Watching the geysers erupt was absolutely mesmerizing—seeing the power of nature up close is something you can’t fully appreciate until you’re standing there in the moment. Each burst felt like a reminder of how alive the earth truly is. The visit to Kerið Crater was just as breathtaking. The vivid contrast between the red volcanic rock and the deep blue water made it feel almost unreal—like stepping into a postcard. And to top it all off, relaxing in a hot springs lagoon was pure bliss. Soaking in the warm, mineral-rich waters while surrounded by stunning landscapes was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. This tour was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. If you’re visiting Iceland, this is an absolute must-do! Symom& Jesica were AMAZING.

We had an amazing day on...

We had an amazing day on this trip, all of the places we visited were good, especially the Secret lagoon, the waterfall was brilliant. A big thank you to Tomek the bus driver who made it a very smooth ride and coped better with an icy car park better than anyone here would ever do. Our guide Gergo was very informative and fun, would love to return to Iceland and maybe do another trip with Bus Travel Iceland, very organised.

Definitely worth doing .

kavan_r, Mar 2026
This was a very good tour and well organised seeing all the hotspots . Definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Iceland, our guide Sunny was very good.

Well-managed and informed

Kim_M, Mar 2026
The driver and guide kept us on schedule and skillfully managed our group of 35. Our guide kept us informed with relevant information and history for each stop. They always let us know how long a certain hike or experience would take at each stop so we could manage our time well.

Perfect tour

Christina_M, Mar 2026
Had a great time on this tour with Sunny. She was very helpful, engaging and kept us well informed. All of the stops were great but we particularly enjoyed our time at the Secret Lagoon. Would definitely recommend.

Adverse weather...

Elke_W, Mar 2026
Adverse weather conditions meant we couldn’t complete all the stops on the tour but our guide (the brilliant Bulgarian bus driver) really made an effort to find an alternative stop. Well organised and felt very safe travelling through a blizzard. Mini bus has single seats also so good for solo travellers wanting to sit on own, not so great for couples who may want to sit together as it’s a long day.

This tour takes you...

Ananda_M, Mar 2026
This tour takes you through some INCREDIBLY breathtaking spots. Although there were more than 40 people in the group, our guide, Barbara, was incredibly kind and took a lot of time to answer everyone's questions. She also knew a LOT about Icelandic history and geography, and it was really incredible to see how passionate she was about the tour. She even did an extra stop to let us pet some cute horses :) Incredible experience and a must-do for everyone visiting Iceland.

Alan and Paula’s day out

Really enjoyed the whole day and our guide Heidi and her husband Captain Thor were excellent and even left us with a song. Got some amazing photos to remind us of our wonderful break.

Very picturesque trip...

Anita_M, Mar 2026
Very picturesque trip with beautiful stops. Loved the waterfalls. Very pretty. Our guide Barbara was wonderful. She had lots of knowledge and information about the sights. Her love and enthusiasm about nature and country came through and passed on to everyone else. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide was as bright and as warm as the sun 🌞

ErlinaJane_T, Mar 2026
Firstly, I would like to commend our driver and guide - Dean and Sunny, both of them were amazing. Sunny truly lived up to her name, her personality is as bright and as warm as the sun. She was full of energy during the whole tour, giving us information and jokes on the side. Dean, our lovely driver, was also a good addition to the team, he made sure to bring us safely to each locations and back to Reykjavik. Thank you to both! Secondly, the whole experience was superb. All the locations were just breathtaking and worth every penny. My personal favourite location was the the Gullfoss. Soaking up in the secret lagoon was also very refreshing, although I would have preferred stopping there last if given the choice, but I understand they have a schedule to follow. Overall, it was such a nice tour.

Landscapes of Iceland

Jack_S, Mar 2026
Andrea was a fantastic speaker/guide throughout the bus journey sharing facts, music and humour. Simon the driver also deserves a mention given how intense the snowstorms were on our tour today. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Great mixture of destinations. I would personally have liked more time at the National Park and golden circle (like 30 minutes each) but appreciate it's a long day. Overall, a great way to explore the beauty of Iceland in a single day.

Must try!

Alivia_B, Mar 2026
This is an amazing tour. Being a fist time visitor to Iceland, we weren’t brave enough to rent a vehicle and go it alone, so this was fabulous. The guides were great and very knowledgeable as well! Jessica was our guide and Eugen was the driver. Props to Eugen because the weather was quite treacherous off and on throughout the day and he managed to get us everywhere safely! Would recommend 10/10!

An Approachable Way to See Icelandic Nature

Shelby_D, Feb 2026
All in all, a great day! Some random tidbits of information that are helpful to know --- - The pickup in the morning can be chaotic. A lot of people will be there and there will be multiple buses coming and going from this company. You have to just stand by the entrance to each bus and listen for your name to be called. This part of the day was a bit stressful, but once on the bus, everything is smooth sailing. - I recommend packing food to bring along. You do stop for lunch at one of the sites, but as like all things in Iceland, it's expensive. My partner and I bought sandwich items at a grocery store and ate that to save some money. - The sites you stop at are pleasantly spaced out. Each journey feels like an appropriate amount of time. You won't walk away from this feeling like you spent all day on a bus. - My favorite part was walking around in Thingvellir National Park by far! I would have happily doubled my time there. - The Secret Lagoon is peaceful and you get a lot of time to soak in the hot springs.

Golden circle

Graham_L, Feb 2026
An amazing day! Anna our guide with bus travel Iceland was perfect all day. Super positive from the moment the bus pulled up. Enthusiastic and full of incredible information and energy. The tour itself was spectacular and the timing was well judged. The coach was big but comfortable.
