Bardi was a wonderful guide! He seems to know every cat in Reykjavik and adds a very personal touch to the tour. We were enthralled with his knowledge and had such a wonderful time with him. All of the shops know him well and we were welcomed in to each one with a smile and an invitation to get to know the “boss” at each location. If you are interested in cats, love cats, and want to hear more about the lore and a little bit about Iceland, definitely do this tour.

Amazing. The purrfect start to our honeymoon. Our tour guide was very friendly, loved cats and showed us all the famous insta cats hiding spots. We even got to meet Volvo who was hard at work as seen on insta. Highly recommend ❤️

The cat tour was a lot of fun! The weather had been a little wet, so we didn’t get to meet all of the local cats (they were not in their usual spots, probably staying warm and dry somewhere else), but we still met quite a few. Our guide had some great stories, and my daughter listed this tour as one of her favorite things from our trip.

Einar was a great tour guide! He showed us all of the popular spots that the cats hang out at & we even saw a few of the popular local kitties! We loved his stories as well. The Reykjavik Cat Walking Tour was such a delightful surprise and one of the most heartwarming experiences of my trip. It’s not just about meeting adorable cats (though you definitely do!)—it’s also a quirky, cultural journey through Reykjavik with a feline twist.
Our guide Robyn clearly loved both cats and Icelandic history, sharing stories about the city’s most famous resident cats, their roles in local shops and cafés, and the special place cats hold in Icelandic culture. We learned fun facts about the Yule Cat of Icelandic folklore.
What made it special was the relaxed pace—wandering through peaceful streets, popping into cat-friendly spots, and meeting a few furry locals lounging in windows or greeting us outside stores. There were lots of photo opportunities and even a few cuddles along the way.
This tour felt intimate, cozy, and very Reykjavik—full of personality, local charm, and plenty of pawsitive vibes. Even if you’re not a hardcore cat person, it’s a sweet and unique way to explore the city.
A must-do for animal lovers or anyone looking for a lighthearted, unforgettable tour experience. You’ll finish with a smile... and maybe a few cat hair souvenirs!

This tour was one of our favorite experiences in Iceland! Our guide, Robin was funny, friendly, and clearly adored every cat in the city. We visited colorful neighborhoods, met several famous shop cats, and even stopped at the cozy Cat Café for coffee and cuddles. The stories about Icelandic folklore (especially the Christmas Trolls and Cats!) were fascinating and added such a local touch. The walk was relaxed, the group small, and the vibe just pure joy. Whether you’re a cat lover or simply want to see Reykjavík from a more personal angle, this is the tour to take. Five paws up! 🐱🇮🇸

We landed at the airport, went to our hotel and dropped our bags to join this fun little tour of 6 people. Smaller groups are needed as we worked our way through the city to stop at cat locations in stores and around town. Very wonderful tour. Some of the stops did not have cats but during the week we found them all and then some in several shops and locations. A great history tour on top of seeing cats and to get familiar with the area close to our hotel.

I loved this quirky little city walk. Esther was super friendly and kind. We met many of the local kitties who were very open to receiving our adoration. It’s a pleasant and easy activity. A must for cat lovers. I give it five meows.

We enjoyed hearing about Reykjavik cats, a little folklore, and visiting shop cats. We took the 11am tour, so most kitties were not out and about. I'd recommend a tour closer to dusk if you want to see more cats around! We ended up running into Baktus later that day 😊 My travel companion is not as much of a cat person as me but she really enjoyed the walk downtown, especially to side streets we hadn't seen yet.

We are cat lovers and just couldn't resist the campiness and pleasure of learning about Reykjavik thru the local cats. Einar led the tour for just the two of us, so it was so personal. Not only did we learn about Reykjavik, but we also learned about him personally. It was a pleasure to get to know a local thru his love of the town and cats. We saw cats thru the local artist communities' paintings. We met and petted cats in person in local shops - many with local art and goods. We saw cats roaming the streets. We had coffee and kleina (Icelandic donuts) in a cat cafe which features adoptable cats. Einar shared his extensive knowledge of the cats, the city, and the country PURRRRFECTLY. It was a pleasure to get to know him, his city and his love of all things cats.

Our tour guide was Stefan I. He was prompt and very friendly. He gave us a little history about cats and then we walked and got to see so many adorable cats. They are all well taken care of here. We went to a cat cafe and was able to pet 5 adorable cats. He also showed us shops that have cats living in the shops and it was the highlight of the trip. If you love cats this is a must.

GREAT Reykjavik Cat Walking Tour on July 18, 2025!! A MUST DO TOUR FOR CAT LOVERS. Our Tour Guide, Bardi was the BEST, a true cat lover and knowledgeable about Reykjavik. We were a small group, 6. which made the tour more personal and most of us were cat lovers. Amazing. So entertaining.guide was incredible and do thoughtful and charismatic. Very funny and great stories. I never knew how important cats were in the countries history- really intetesting. He took lots of pics of us and went to many great stops to see these cats that are like royalty. One of the best excursions we did here.

This was fun. It was pouring rain, but our guide Inga made it fun anyway. She knew so much about Icelandic culture and history, and all the best spots to find cats. If you are as cat-crazy as my wife you will love this. Also, the traditional donut-like treats at the cat cafe were very good.

Our tour was a lot of fun, learning about the cats but also some history and a couple of story tales along the way. Our guide took us through parts of the city we may have not seen otherwise. The café was a lot of fun and a nice break with coffee and sweets while we got to enjoy the company of the felines who reside there.
