After 2 weeks of driving all of Germany, I was glad to let someone else take us on a tour bus. Having pre-purchase option for castle tours was a plus. Was disappointed in lack of signs at Neuschwanstein at top to get to horse-drawn carriage. Two trams were running at 3pm to take people up, but going down after the 4:10 tour only one tram was running. Half of our bus had to wait 20-30 minutes for tram to come back for us. Thankfully Jochim our guide made sure the tour bus didn't leave before we got back to Hoheschwanagau, and even arranged for it to be close to where the tram dropped us off.

Informative and would go it again!

Tour guide (Jamie) was very knowledgeable, detailed and friendly! Met at the train station and he got us there with no problem. You can do all of it yourself with self audio if you want to save money, but we appreciated the guided tour and felt we learned more. Dachau itself was very spread out with lots of walking, but he was organized and walked us thru each section so no backtracking. We had about 45 min free time to revisit any of the locations as we wanted.

We loved our tour with our guide Dave! All of the stops were interesting and beautiful. He did a great job explaining the history and culture of Munich while keeping it fun and entertaining. He really allowed our group to bond together and took the time to get to know us. This is my second time doing the tour and I would definitely go for a third!

Rise of Naziism and the Eagles Nest

Our guide was knowledgeable and had a lovely personality. She gave a good summary of the geopolitical environment which allowed the Nazi party to come to power and then explained the relatively minor role of the eagles nest but major role of Hitlers vacation home Berghof in Obersalzberg. She was quite correct that the documentation centre and bunkers are well worth the visit after coming down from the Eagles nest.

Palace, grotto and castle and a very eccentric king!!

What a treat to see some of the Bavarian countryside and especially to tour these interesting sites. The palace & grotto and castle were all fascinating and our tour guide Aileen was very knowledgeable and well informed on the history and peculiarities as to how they came to be. The views from the castle site are incredible - so glad we had the chance to experience all of this!!

A ‘must do’ tour!

After learning modern history at school, I really wanted to do this tour. Tom, our fabulous guide took us through the timeline of Hitler and the beginnings of his political life. Tom’s knowledge was very good and kept moving us to the various locations relevant to the parts of Hitler’s time in Munich. Just fascinating and the tour lived up to my expectations and more! Highly recommend this tour to appreciate and understand how Hitler came to power.

Absolutely worth it

This tour to Linderhof Palace and Neuschwanstein Castle was absolutely worth it. The landscapes during the drive alone make the trip worthwhile, the scenery is stunning from start to finish. The palace and castle themselves are incredible, and the views are amazing. Monica was also very knowledgeable and engaging, sharing interesting information in a way that was easy and enjoyable to listen to. I really enjoyed listening to her and she really added to the overall experience.

Was not expecting much....

Was not expecting much. Went with a friend who wanted to see the Cinderella castle. Jeremy really brought the history to life and I enjoyed his humor. He provided just enough well-timed narration throughout the day. Thank you. Even w torrential downpour and the bus breaking down, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
