Your guide will meet you by the doors of the Ludwig Beck department store. The doors are located at the top of the stairs at exit C of Marienplatz U-Bahn station. Look for a guide with a Ghosts and Spirits sign. Warning: our guides do *not* dress in costumes, so beware of any cloaked beings nearby.

The guide was very enthusiastic, but he had a very very strong german accent that made it nearly impossible to fallow what he was saying. The stories were not very well spoken (I think he had trouble translating to English on the spot) so it was impossible to get in the mood. That made it not scary but it wasn't really historical either so we wondered what was the point.
We and others decided to leave before the end because we were very bored.
I must say that they give you presents throughout and the guide was kind so it's not totally bad but I wouldn't recommend honestly.

HI Yan. First of all, our German guides are all female, so none of our male guides would have a "strong German accent." Nevertheless, seeing as this is and has always been an English tour, our guides are all Native-Bilingual, and would not be translating our already English script into English "on the spot." Secondly, our tour is 100% historical and we do not "give presents" at any point. So, it sounds like you have us confused with another tour. Kindly remove your review and direct it to the offending operator.
This was a fantastic tour! Erika was super knowledgeable and funny. The stories were grim, the history was sad, but the storytelling was both respectful and compelling. The shots and the jokes helped lighten the mood after some harrowing tales. I didn’t personally experience any ghosts (boo 😞), but my husband said he felt a tug at his heel at the old cemetery stop!! I’m so jealous. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the tour. The tour guide was great, knowledge and gave me good suggestion to do around Munich.
He was still new at his job but you would not be able to tell.

With its beauty, Munich is the perfect place for a night tour like this. But then I learned all the folklore that originated from this area and greater Germany. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat just to enjoy the late night stroll.

The tour started in the center of the city so it was easy to find the meeting point. We really enjoyed wandering through the city seeing new sites. Our guide, Hugo, was exceptional. We were very entertained with all the stories and he had everyone in a great mood!

Hugo was a great storyteller and kept our 7 and 9 year old boys engaged. The tour covers a lot of ground and includes sights and history of munich as well

Easy to find the meetup of this tour, we walked through the city and hit a few historic locations, historicallly haunted, of course. Tony was exceptional,, interweaving lore, history, and culture. In the end, we all wanted to be Bavarian!

Our guide Maria was affable, knowledgeable and can tell a good story. It was a fun way to gain insight into the history, superstitions and paranormal traditions of Old Town. The shots were a fun plus. This our is something different than the rest and special.

This ghost tour just might have been my favorite part of visiting Munich! Our guide was Tony and he was absolutely fantastic. We don't drink, so we sent a note ahead of the tour and he made sure we had a little treat so we could be included in the spirits. Tony was also very knowledgeable and brought a great energy to the group. We had fun chatting with him while walking between stops. It was fun to learn about different moments in Munich's history. Some of them were more popular stories, but some of them were ones I had never heard before. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone considering it.

This was super fun! It was a great way to hear local history mixed with fascinating ghost stories; a real mix of Nazi history in Munich and witch trials hundreds of years before that. Tony was fabulous and so engaging. Would for sure do this again!

Tony was a great guide. His pace was good, he was enthusiastic, and kept us engaged the whole time.

We had a lot of fun with our tour guide Tony. I’m so happy we took a chance and went on this ghost walk. Not only did we see a lot of parts of Munich that we hadn’t been to before, but we also learned a lot of history - from WWII and way before! I wasn’t expecting to learn so much about the culture and people as well. There are little alcoholic drinks sprinkled through out the tour, so be sure to tell the operator if you don’t drink before the tour! I also appreciated that this tour is offered in the evening as there aren’t a lot of tours later on. It was pleasant and cool outside and felt nice after a hot day in the sun. It was also a nice time chunk- and didn’t feel rushed at all. The pacing was good. Thanks Tony!

A fun walking tour with some fun historical stories and good locations. Hugo really keeps the group engaged and everyone interacts with each other. Would definitely do it again

Very disappointed for wasting our time and money. I understand that it was the first Nicole' day as a guide at this tour, but it was very bad. We already wanted to leave but her partner took over and it started to be better. I would suggest next time when you do practice do it on each other, not on the tourists, because our time is also valuable. If it would be a guru tour or freewalk tour I wouldn't give even a quarter of the price we paid.

Hi Larisa, we appreciate that it is frustrating to randomly book yourself onto a night that a new guide is giving her first tour. Unfortunately, all guides have to start somewhere. Nicole had been in training for three months prior to getting in front of a paid tour. This wasn't "practice," it was her first day on the job. After months of training, we trust that our guides are adequately prepared to get in front of a live group. Nevertheless, we always make sure an experienced guide is present and evaluating in the event that the performance is falling short of the high standards that both we and our guests expect from the #1 ghost tour in Germany. Unfortunately, on the night of your tour, the veteran guide did have to make the judgment call to intervene and take over the tour, which to be frank, was the first time in our company's history that we have ever had to do this. This was obviously already demoralizing enough for the new guide, made worse now by the fact that you have chosen to publicly embarrass her with this review. In the future, I'd suggest contacting us directly to voice your justified frustrations, so we can proactively come to a compensatory solution for you.
Hugo was the best! He told some great stories and the spirits were spot on.
Our group was quite entertaining and always put our two cents in. Hugo rolled with it and always circled back to the actual story at hand. Definitely recommend.

I gave the tour a four star as it was ok, but not amazing and the owner began a war of words with me for docking one star. She was incredibly unprofessional and In the end I reported her to Viator twice for sharing my personal information publicly.

Hi Yasinko You are very obviously not a smart or healthy person. We do not, nor have we ever, shared the private data of our customers. Deliberately making false claims that we do is Libel and our legal team has been informed. As per our previous response to you complaining that the tour was in the rain and docked us a star for it. We know the truth doesn't matter to someone like you, but as a reminder we actually politely thanked you for the kind words, and gently reminded you that we do not, in fact, control the weather. Something that should be obvious to people who aren't totally stupid, yet here we are. You then began sending us a constant barrage of insulting and derogatory emails for the next 4 days (during your vacation presumably, which is honestly so pathetic) about how "rude" it was to point out that we don't control the weather in our public response to your public review. This constitutes Harassment and our legal team has been informed. As it was clear that you are not well, we ignored your (unprovoked) insulting, and harassing emails and yet they persisted for days. Is the "war of words" the one "we started" by simply not responding to you at all? Here's a tip: when people don't engage with your unprovoked, idiotic, overly-entitled rants, it's because most people have the good sense to know they can't reason with a crazy person. What's frankly the most amusing about this is that you seem to forget that you are not the only one entitled to an opinion. I mean, you think you can write literally whatever you want on a public review of our business, but that we have no right to respond to it? You really need to get your mental health checked, Yasinko. Your tour was two weeks ago and you're still fighting your imaginary "war" with no one but yourself. You really need to get a hobby - being a world class Karen isn't a good look on you. Btw... we have screenshots of all your reviews and emails and have also provided them to our legal team.
Hugo was our guide and he did a wonderful job. He mixed in knowledge, humor and a friendliness to capture all of our attention.
I definitely recommend this tour and if you're lucky enough to get Hugo as your guide you will be completely satisfied.
The liquid courage helped on a rather cool night as well.

What an incredible day! First, Stefan meets you with a warm and welcoming smile and spirit. He’s knowledgeable and so friendly, we stopped few places along the way, including an incredible little church in a small village that was beautiful. The castle is actually incredible, his recommendation for lunch was nice, and the palace is so beautiful with incredible gardens and the setting for both are very special.
It’s a long day, but worth it.

Hi, Ann. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, but you seem to have us mixed up with a day trip you took with a guide named, Stefan (who does not work for us). This is a ghost walking tour of Munich at night - we definitely don't visiting villages or offer lunch on this tour ;)
Please disregard the review below, it is for the Munich Ghosts and Spirits Evening Walking Tour (which I wholeheartedly recommend!).
I had a different guide to the one named, and sadly my experience wasn't very positive.
My guide missed off half of the tour, and lot of what we did was spent, in silence, inside churches... It wasn't what I was expecting at all from the itinerary or the reviews.
At 5pm, which is around the time the tour was supposed to have finished (we had a later start as my guide was running late), we - again - stood in silence to watch the Glockenspiel show at Marienplatz - all of it.
Around 40-45 minutes of the tour was spent at St Peter's Church, during Mass - there was a sign on the door saying Mass was in progress, but he insisted we went inside, and we sat in silence for about half an hour. I tried asking questions about the church, but he couldn't answer them, I had to find out about the damage from WW2 on a plaque inside.
I was expecting to finish at the Hofbrauhaus to relax and maybe get food before my evening tour, but we didn't go anywhere near there, instead we ended up at the Viktualienmarkt behind St Peter's church, which was where the tour finished.
Even when I supplied my Google watch data, which proved that I didn't go anywhere near the Hofgarten, let alone to the Bavarian State Chancellory, the Dianatempel, and the finish at Viktualienmarkt, at the back of St Peter's Church - no refund.
If you do book this tour, insist on having the guide that other people have named, it appears they got a different, and far better, experience than I did.

None of this is relevant to the Munich Ghosts and Spirits Tour and now negatively impacts our ranking, and not the ranking of the tour/operator that provided the offending experience.
