Great locations, worst guide

Let me first start with good news. The salt mine is an amazing experience and the Koeningsee is beautiful. So well worth it. However, had the most terrible guide. The way the day is structured is you go to the mine and then get to Koeningsee around 12:30 and take the boat. At the start of the day, I asked the guide what the plan was for lunch. She said schedule is tight so won’t be able to sit down, will have to grab and go. She told us basically we couldn’t eat lunch. We get to Koeningsee and there are literally 20 eating spots!!! She made us wait 20 minutes while she got tickets which would have been enough time for us to grab something if she would have just told us. The boat is every 15 minutes. With a small amount of forethought and planning, she could have said - “we are here. I will get tickets. Boat is in half hour, you all go grab something to eat”. That is what a few of us ended up doing anyway but the fact that it wasn’t planned that way or that her whole plan was for us to go the whole day without food was ridiculous. People in my group were furious. Only benefit if doubt I will give her was she was probably attempting to get us to on the boat asap so we could have more time at St Bartomolow’s but truthfully 15 minutes wouldn’t make that much difference and having a group of hangry people is just bad management. If I have to figure stuff out myself why do I need a guide?? Absolutely worst experience.

Poor travel operator

This operator is harsh on participants and they forfeited ALL tour fee us your are 3 minutes late. Bearing in mind I am not buying a bus ticket. I joined a tour. Operator should at least contact me before you leave your customers and go away. I did contact the operator and travel broker and they all discharge their reasonable due care and consideration

Our tours operate on a tight schedule with pre-booked time slots for activities such as boat rides and salt mine entries, which leave very little room for delays. In fairness to all guests who arrive on time, we must begin our tours as scheduled — even a few minutes' delay can impact the entire day’s itinerary and create disadvantages for the rest of the group. We always recommend arriving at the meeting point at least 20 minutes before departure to allow for check-in and unforeseen circumstances. While we understand how frustrating this situation must have been, we hope for your understanding and would be happy to welcome you again in the future under better circumstances.

Salt mine & konigsee adventure

Great trip was nearly a disaster with the weather. Obviously out of anyone's control. Salt mines was a good experience very professionally organised. We then moved onto Lake konigsee for the boat ride which was stunning but with getting off on st bartholomews church/island at 2 pm we then had to catch the return boat at 3pm. We started queuing at 14:40 ques were horrendous and because of the weather we didn't board the return boat until 16:30. But bus driver Sandro & Arnold where waiting for us to return us back to munich. Personally I would like to skip the salt mine to have more time in kongisee and to have time see obersee.
