What are people saying about Munich

Great tour! Fun and interesting!
We booked the two hour walking tour to get an overview of munich on our day of arrival. We were met at our hotel which made it easy and convenient. Anna showed us many sights we might have missed otherwise as well as answered specific questions we had about the city in general. Highly recommend this tour to get you started on on your sightseeing as well as if you only have limited time to spend in the area. Great tour!

Perfect tour guide and itinerary
Tour guide (sorry forgot the name but the one born in the Philippines too) was genuinely friendly and accommodating. I love it that he started the tour by getting to know us and us getting to know the other participants as well. It was a small effort but truly shows how he wanted to connect with us and how he wanted us to have a really good experience. We didn’t feel rushed. We had maximised our time outside and inside the castle. The walking tour was also very informative. Definitely recommends Mike’s Bike Tours when you visit Munich!

Nice tour - Fun day for a winter visit
Great tour! Enjoy the pace of the day and was easy and well-planned upon arrival to the end. Charlie was our guide (in English) and he covered a great detail of historical facts and shared many interesting insights. There is a hike for those who have any mobility issues but for the four in our group everything was doable.

Munich at Christmas
The tour with Patrick was a perfect introduction to the Christmas markets in Munich. The food options were delicious and plentiful. He was very knowledgeable about local history, particularly of the architecture. He was good with my children, even getting the one in a bad mood to come out of his shell. The pace was perfect.

Victoria: Leading You to the Best Glühwein Experiences
We just returned from our Germany Christmas Markets trip and one of the highlights was this tour in Munich. Victoria was an outstanding tour guide! She has a down to earth personality and ensured that everyone on the tour felt comfortable enjoying their time to the fullest. She is a Texan expat now residing in Germany with her husband & family so her English and German language skills are excellent.
Victoria took us to several Glühwein [“glow-wine”] stalls that we would've never tried on our own. First up was a Rosé gluhwein with cherries . . . a hit! We stopped afterwards for a bite of Schupfnudeln [German gnocchi or potato noodles]. From Marienplatz, we walked to the Christmas Village at the Munich Residenz Palace for our second stop. At this location, we enjoyed a bratwurst and a Glühbier [mulled beer]. Although I was a huge fan, the group was split on the mulled beer with others opting for the apfel-zimt fruchtglühweine [apple-cinnamon fruit mulled wine] instead. If you're not a mulled wine fan at this point, beer is an option and readily available at this stand. :) From this location, we walked to the Medieval Christmas Market nearby and enjoyed some traditional gingerbread (it was more a cake like consistency) at this third spot. We then took the subway and made our way to Wintertollwood Festival, which is located at Theresienweisse, the Oktoberfest grounds. This was our last stop on the tour and we tried gluhwein with mead. It was definitely unique and tasted smooth. The last snack was a raclette [top layer of melted cheese scraped off onto a slice of bread]. All in all, this is a great tour for an overview of the Christmas Markets and if you want to try a few variations of gluhwein.
By the way, if you want to keep any of the gluhwein mugs, you have give your tour guide the pfand [deposit] to cover the cost. I kept two mugs as souvenirs!

Lucia met us in our...
Lucia met us in our lobby, and led us to the train and to Dachau. She did a magnificent job patiently giving our family of six (3 teenagers and a 20y old) context of ww2 and how the concentration camps started and developed. Tough assignment and she was flawless. I can’t think of anything could have done better. She also helped us navigate to the soccer stadium for a game that afternoon which we would have struggled with otherwise.

Adam’s phenomenal tour
Our guide Adam was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He has studied the history of Nuremberg extensively and actually had a personal interaction with one of the inmates. Because of his personal connection with one of the actual prisoners who survived, he provides an unbelievably personal detailed account of the transgressions at Dachau. If you are an English speaker, Adam is originally from Australia and speaks German without an accent. He met us in the lobby of our hotel and escorted us throughout the whole day with many tips and insights along the way. There was only my wife and I on the tour and it was not only extremely personal but incredibly informational and informative. This was one of the best tours we have ever had in our travels around the world. I have read the reviews on the other guides, but obviously I do not know them. If you are English or German speaking, please ask for Adam by name as he is incredible. Thank you, Adam for an unbelievable experience.
