I booked our tour and was so happy with our experience. We learned so much from the moment went boarded the train. If, we went on our own we would not have learned so much and the experience would have not been the same. Conni was wonderful and had so much to share with us. I highly recommend it

Must do!

Karl_M, Sep 2026
Extremely knowledgeable tour guides that provided an incredible amount of detail about the camp and the time period. They made it very easy to get to and from the camp as well

Pam_S, Sep 2026
This tour is very interesting and important information to know. Our tour guide Conni was very knowledgeable and helpful! It’s a difficult subject but she was able to help us understand that period of time

Great and Educational

Esther_L, Sep 2026
This experience was immensely valuable! Being able to see and walk in an area that only before we had read about proved deeply moving, knowing and learning about the systematic tragedies that happened. Our guide was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable on the subject.

Fast paced but great knowledge

MarianMcNeil, Aug 2026
Fast pace, we moved at a good clip to see all the exhibits. The guide was great with not only facts but stories. The presentation is pretty canned but still good. She gave extra attention to the lip reader in the group as there are no audio with this tour. The morning tour is longer and you get to see a few extra spots. The group size was 12 and that was a great balance.

Every aspect of this...

Every aspect of this experience was wonderful. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He should have more than 5 stars… maybe 20 stars!!!

Steph is fantastic!

Our tour guide, Steph, was AMAZING! So much great discussion and she was very knowledgeable.. She does other tours as well — I highly recommend!

We missed the first...

Darrin_R, Aug 2026
We missed the first attempt to take this tour as it was impossible for us to find the meeting place. The instruction was to go to tourist information in the Marienplatz and there would be a guide with a yellow sign with A3 and “Dachau”. There is nothing named “tourist information” and there was no yellow sign with A3 or Dachau. When I called VIATOR, knowing that we missed the tour telling her we couldn’t find where to meet, she clarified that the A3 is the “size” of the yellow sign. Also it isn’t “tourist information” it is “Munchen information”. They allowed us to go on another day (luckily we could change our plans and do it on another day). When we arrived on the other day our guide had no sign, just a yellow nametag on a lanyard around her neck. She was the last to arrive and there was hardly a greeting before we took off at a super fast pace to the subway, then train and then bus to get there. If there had been elders or handicapped in our group, they would have been in trouble. Despite all of that, Patricia was an excellent guide! She really cared about what she was educating us on and very respectful. She was easy to understand and made our group the top priority when getting to see exhibits and such. This is a very heavy subject and we were prepared for a sad day. We were glad it was a fast paced tour as it was not a place to linger.

Outstanding and moving

Andrea_F, Aug 2026
This was a deep tour but I can’t believe I forgot our tour guys name but if we could I would have him do all our tours . He is so knowledgeable and helpful. He took us on the train kept us all together then returned and kept us together and even showed us some landmarks that weren’t even in tour .. one word exceptional!! Thank you from Matt and Andrea

Monica_M, Aug 2026
Mat is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable on all info on Dachau and more! Recommended tour.

Breathtaking experience but tour guide left a lot to be desired

MICHAEL_P, Aug 2026
Our guide was not in a hurry to get started. Information she shared was nothing unique to general history. She lacked enthusiasm. Also, minimal time to explore the museum.

An important tour to take

Jen_G, Aug 2026
Mat was an extremely knowledgeable tour guide. It is a lot of information and he did a fantastic job giving us a clear picture of the events and the history of this place.

Dachau Tour

Greg_L, Aug 2026
The Guide Ms. Carlotta aka Charlotte was excellent and thoroughly explained the camp operation and the environment of Germany during the pre WWII period. Had ample time to view the numerous displays and exhibits.

Excellent tour and guide (Charlotte)

Sharon_M, Aug 2026
Charolotte (Carlotta) was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable and presented material in sensitive manner. I highly recommend this tour!

Excellent tour

carrie_r, Aug 2026
Jess was a very knowledgeable and professional guide on what is simply a difficult historical chapter. She relayed the history very well with appropriate language and tone. Travel to and from Daschau seamless too

A must do tour to understand Dachau

Larry_Z, Aug 2026
This was a wonderful tour! Our guide, Michael, was well organized, extremely knowledgeable about Dachau and the Nazi era and communicated with the group with the confidence and delivery of a seasoned and experienced educator. If you are interested in learning more about this place and time, this is a must do tour. I am sure that other guides do a great job, as well, but I consider Michael to be among the best of the many guides I have toured with!

Experience history

Teri_A, Jul 2026

Sobering experience

Michael was an excellent guide throughout the trip. His knowledge and way of sharing a difficult subject matter was spot on. We would do other tours in Munich with him.

Dakau - amazing tour

Michael_C, Jul 2026
Our tour of Dakau was was wonderful. Of course, the contents were rather upsetting but the way it was explained and presented to us from Michaell was compellingl. His personality & knowledge were phenomenal! Best tour guide!!!

Michael was a fantastic tour guide who knew a lot about history and I think even found passion in what he does

Elijah_R, Jul 2026
It was emotionally breathtaking. Literally wanting to restart my life at Dachau and never think its bad

A must see with Aileen!

The whole tour was...

Andrew_C, Jul 2026
The whole tour was conducted very respectfully. Michael was extremely knowledgeable and engaged very well with the whole group. Be prepared for a fair bit of walking.

Very interesting visit, very bad guide

Attilio_C, Jul 2026
Our guide was not very friendly; sarcastic and belittling what the group had to comment. I don’t recommend her.

Nice tour of Dachau

Tina_H, Jul 2026
We appreciated having a local guide to share information about Dachau. Michael was great and VERY knowledgeable. Personally, we would have loved to have just a bit more time (maybe even just 30 min more on the total tour time) to also be able to look at the displays in the Maintenance building. Great tour overall.

Great experience with an amazing tour guide!

Carlos_D, Jul 2026
Visiting the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial is an amazing and transformational experience. Michael, our tour guide, provided lots of details, and gave us lots of information and answers to every question. The tour is a must if you come to visit Munich!

Gerat tour, great guide

Mike_Z, Jul 2026
Very informative and impactful. Great guide in Charlotte. It was great for everyone to see what happened at Dachau and learn from those mistakes.

We Must Learn from the Past!

Deborah_M, Jul 2026
Everyone should take this tour. Guide was passionate about topic. Those imprisoned here deserve respect and remembrance. How can mankind be so evil? What made people not revolt and step up? You decide.
