Extremely knowledgeable tour guides that provided an incredible amount of detail about the camp and the time period. They made it very easy to get to and from the camp as well
This tour is very interesting and important information to know. Our tour guide Conni was very knowledgeable and helpful! It’s a difficult subject but she was able to help us understand that period of time
This experience was immensely valuable! Being able to see and walk in an area that only before we had read about proved deeply moving, knowing and learning about the systematic tragedies that happened. Our guide was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable on the subject.
Fast pace, we moved at a good clip to see all the exhibits. The guide was great with not only facts but stories. The presentation is pretty canned but still good. She gave extra attention to the lip reader in the group as there are no audio with this tour. The morning tour is longer and you get to see a few extra spots. The group size was 12 and that was a great balance.
Every aspect of this experience was wonderful. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He should have more than 5 stars… maybe 20 stars!!!

We missed the first attempt to take this tour as it was impossible for us to find the meeting place. The instruction was to go to tourist information in the Marienplatz and there would be a guide with a yellow sign with A3 and “Dachau”. There is nothing named “tourist information” and there was no yellow sign with A3 or Dachau. When I called VIATOR, knowing that we missed the tour telling her we couldn’t find where to meet, she clarified that the A3 is the “size” of the yellow sign. Also it isn’t “tourist information” it is “Munchen information”. They allowed us to go on another day (luckily we could change our plans and do it on another day). When we arrived on the other day our guide had no sign, just a yellow nametag on a lanyard around her neck. She was the last to arrive and there was hardly a greeting before we took off at a super fast pace to the subway, then train and then bus to get there. If there had been elders or handicapped in our group, they would have been in trouble. Despite all of that, Patricia was an excellent guide! She really cared about what she was educating us on and very respectful. She was easy to understand and made our group the top priority when getting to see exhibits and such. This is a very heavy subject and we were prepared for a sad day. We were glad it was a fast paced tour as it was not a place to linger.
This was a deep tour but I can’t believe I forgot our tour guys name but if we could I would have him do all our tours . He is so knowledgeable and helpful. He took us on the train kept us all together then returned and kept us together and even showed us some landmarks that weren’t even in tour .. one word exceptional!! Thank you from Matt and Andrea

Our guide was not in a hurry to get started. Information she shared was nothing unique to general history. She lacked enthusiasm. Also, minimal time to explore the museum.

The Guide Ms. Carlotta aka Charlotte was excellent and thoroughly explained the camp operation and the environment of Germany during the pre WWII period. Had ample time to view the numerous displays and exhibits.

This was a wonderful tour! Our guide, Michael, was well organized, extremely knowledgeable about Dachau and the Nazi era and communicated with the group with the confidence and delivery of a seasoned and experienced educator. If you are interested in learning more about this place and time, this is a must do tour. I am sure that other guides do a great job, as well, but I consider Michael to be among the best of the many guides I have toured with!

The whole tour was conducted very respectfully. Michael was extremely knowledgeable and engaged very well with the whole group. Be prepared for a fair bit of walking.

We appreciated having a local guide to share information about Dachau. Michael was great and VERY knowledgeable. Personally, we would have loved to have just a bit more time (maybe even just 30 min more on the total tour time) to also be able to look at the displays in the Maintenance building.
