This is one of those excursions that everyone should take part in. The trip to this concentration camp is a critical look at real life history. A sobering experience to say the least. It starts on a local train as it’s not that far from downtown Munich. It doesn’t take an imagination to feel what prisoners of that day felt as he walked through the grounds. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very honest about what happened in those days. I would recommend this to anyone who travel to Germany, just to get a feel of what it was really like to be tangled up in that war.

The tour left earlier than advertised and left without us. No response from the tour provider. Horrible experience. But- we were easily able to find our way to Dachau ourselves and the audioguide was inexpensive and excellent. Do not book this tour. Completely unnecessary. Just visit Dachau on your own

Michael was absolutely incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to make our experience meaningful. It ended up feeling like a private tour, as he really took his time with our family and made sure we fully understood the history and significance of everything we were seeing.
What stood out most was how thoughtful and compassionate he was. He even led a moment of silence for our family and helped us look up family members, which made the experience deeply personal and emotional.

Our guide, Michael, did a great job guiding our group through Dachau. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Hitler and his murderous regime. He handled the heaviness of subject manner with great respect to all the victims. I recommend this tour.

what a humbling experience! the grounds are massive, it’s easy to spend a lot of time there if you don’t have a proper guide. carolina was great. she made sure to highlight the important aspects and keep everything palatable.

Our visit to Dachau was an impressive experience. Thanks in large part to the lovely guide Conni, it became an unforgettable journey through this intense yet important part of history. Conni had a remarkable ability to strike just the right tone: engaged, respectful, and above all, deeply sincere. Through her knowledge and personal stories from, among others, former prisoners, she brought the history very close to us. At times visibly moved by what she shared, she put into words what is almost impossible to comprehend and offered a powerful perspective on what took place there — events that are nearly impossible to truly grasp when visiting a place like Dachau.
Dachau itself is carefully preserved and offers a clear impression of what it looked like at the time. This place invites reflection and confronts you with the connection between past and present, in a world where unrest and hardship are still very much present. It highlights how important it is to pause and reflect on this history — to never forget, to remain aware of what has happened, and to carry that awareness into how we act and what we pass on to those around us.
